Recently I saw Panama Gandhi stamps used on cover starting price $199.!! from eBay member since 2002 "statusinternational" of Australia as "India Panama 1974 Gandhi Airmail cover to USA. originally cost $800++"
This used cover with gandhi stamp is not selling at $199 even though marketed as originally cost 800++ in European Auction.!!!!
This is the 4th time this Panama stamps used cover is for auction.!!
I think reason for selling is that this is highly overpriced also chance of FORGERY is very high.
As I mentioned in my other blog post what you see selling price in auction house or online auction is usually glorified by increasing price through SHILL bidding or buyer don't pay seller as you just need to BID on auction without paying anything in pocket so you can bid whatever you want.!! and don't pay it afterwards.!!!
So all that auction house pricing is not REAL.
Everything is FAKE OR FORGED!!
I think this should not be more than $2-$3 like any other used cover because there are chances of FORGERY is very very high as it's just take one rubber stamp to make it used.!!
Also chance of FORGERY stamp is also very high as we had seen this 1948 Gandhi stamps from India were forgery stamps and rubber stamp of special cancellation are used on even first day cover as well as postally used cover.
So what do you think about this.
Description : "India Panama 1974 Gandhi Airmail cover to USA. originally cost $800++ 1974 Panama Airmail cover franked 1972 Carnival 3c & 1971 Gandhi 10c, tied by "Panama DEC 14 1974" cds. To USA. VF. SG 1012 & 1025. Cost vendor €600 in a European auction."
Following is screenshot from previous eBay auction.
Read my following blog post about FAKE AND FORGED Gandhi stamps and philatelic cancellation and decide what are chances of FORGERY.
Also chances of getting caught is less because it's USED by applying rubber stamp, keeping in soil or exposing to sun and make it toned.!!

How we know whether this genuine price or just inflated price as we see all the time.
It will be very hard to find out unless you work in eBay or you are the seller!!
$199 is good money for eBay Shareholders as they will get commission from this sell and their stock price depends on this commission.
Also USA Federal Income tax and State government will get tax on this kind of sale also which will keep economy running for everyone.!!!
So now my question is do you think stamp collection is this much popular in 2014 and price is getting top dollars.?
I think so, but you have to make decision.
Click one of the following link to make your decision and you decide what you see is genuine or forgery.
1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.
7) First AirMail Post
8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM
11) SCANDAL in stamp collection
12) How to increase stamp collection value
Now does it make sense to collect stamps after looking above blog posts?
Thanks
