Gandhi 1948 Stamp : Early usage of 1948 Gandhi stamps : What do you think about this cover with early usage.? 1948 Gandhi stamps cover is for Investment.!!

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Recently I saw (you might have also seen it) amazing cover with Early usage of 1948 Gandhi Stamps.!!!

Cancellation on this cover is 14-August-1948 from Bombay RMS (Railway Mail Service). This means that this cover was posted(cancelled) 1 day in advance.!! and mailed to USA.

Don't know how someone got stamp in a day advance and send it through RMS. !!??

Issue with this early used cover is that it don't have enough postage for USA and also don't have receiving CDS, so not sure whether this was really mailed.!!

But who cares, eBay stock owner is getting richer (disclosure : I own eBay stock in my retirement account) because they will get good commission on this sale as well as when buyer from India pays through PayPal. (I hope eBay gets commission from this sale.!!)

Following is the screenshot from ebay.

Seller : richwho1 (USA)
Buyer : advaitcorp (India) Now it is "acp-india"
Price : $661 (even though it's rare/unique, it sold for less.!!)

Looks like no receiving cancellation stamp on the cover from New York Post office.

Following is the screenshot of bidders and winner is a***o(336)

I AM NOT ONE OF THE TOP 5 BIDDERS.!!

What do you think about this cover with early usage.? How this is possible? . Do you think this was backdated.? or indeed error!!

Your guess is my guess.!!

Do you think 1948 Gandhi stamps covers are for Investment.? I don't think so.!!

After looking to this value to me it looks like no one wants to collect stamps in this modern world, because there are lot of others things to do, such as play video games on ipad, xbox, gamecube or on internet surf on web or facebook or lot of other outdoor activity such a hiking, skating, running etc or watch different shows on TV or sports games such as Cricket or Football or Basketball or just talking on smartphone or chating.!!

After all this kind of things you don't get any more extra time to pursue your hobby of stamp collection were not that many people are involved and you feel like retard when you talk to friends.!!

Also there are lot of cheating such as Forgery stamps, Shill bidding, BOGUS philatelic material  involved in stamps collection.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.

  1. Ketan, your bid of $651 was beaten by a bidder paying $10 more. For you to bid $651 for this cover, clearly says that you thought it was a good investment for that money. But as you didn't get it, you are saying, "Do you think 1948 Gandhi stamps cover is for Investment.? I don't think so.!!" SOUR GRAPES ?
