Hello Gandhi Collectors,
Recently I saw 1969 Gandhi Stamps from Great Britain USED in Arizona, USA on 2nd October 2012 which is also Mahatma Gandhi birthday and worldwide it is celebrated as International Day of Non-Violence.
You can read more about International Day of Non Violence by clicking following link.
A classic example of USED abroad stamp of Great Britain, but this is currently it is not a valid postage of Great Britain because they converted to decimal system in 1971.
This Great Britain Gandhi stamps is used with 1961 Gandhi stamps of USA which is still valid and this cover has 6 Gandhi stamps of 8 cents each, so this aerogramme has 48 cents stamps which is valid postage(45 cents) rate in 2012.
So this aerogramme has DUAL countries stamp which makes unique and I think it's valid in USA if there is a valid postage so it's nothing wrong with it or illegal.
But don't you think it's easy to make STAMPS USED ABROAD.!!
Click following link to read more about stamps used abroad in my previous blog post about India Used Abroad and you decide that's it's very easy to make rubber stamps and apply it on any stamps DIY (Do It Yourself.!!)
So when I see some expensive items listed on eBay I wonder that this are really not used (gone through postal stream) but just cancellation from post office or just FORGED or FAKE rubber stamp and make it USED ABROAD STAMPS.!!
Following are FORGED cancellation used abroad in Penang Straits Settlements on British India stamps.!!
So now don't you think this can be applied to any old cover and make it stamps used abroad cover.!!
Following are some of the India stamps used abroad "Singapore India used abroad", "India used Aden", "British India stamp used Port Blair", "India Gandhi stamps used in Nepal"available on eBay from $2500 to $200. I am not expert to give my opinion on this stamps whether this are Genuine or Forged. It's up to buyer to make sure about this after looking all consideration in philatelic materials.
So BEWARE what you are collecting and why are you collecting and at what price.!!

3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.
If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!
There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!
To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.
