You might be wondering what to do with blog related to Gandhi stamps and India 1854 QV Queen Victoria 4 annas stamps.!!
But "Crows are black everywhere"!! and same thing apply to stamps dealers/sellers.!!
So what you see in your thematic collection, it will be same in other's collection also.!!
So what I learned in Gandhi stamps collection is also same in other collection, only things are changing stamps, but seller, fake buyers, shill bidding, non paying buyers etc are same.!!
This is a FORGERY Stamp. |
India 1854 QV 4 Annas stamp is one of the rare stamp, but if you see on eBay you will find in large quantity.
I think large quantity is nothing but forgery made with facsimile, replica etc, because it very easy to print it and apply rubber stamp.
But it's not only but by making forgery stamp chances of getting caught by law and enforcement is very very less because no one actually complain about it to police.
If you sell forgery item such as Burberry/Gucci ladies purses or Rolex watches then fraud department of that companies are watching all auction on eBay and complain to law enforcement(police) and which in turn will be submitted to eBay and eBay will take very strict action by locking their eBay as well as PayPal account and chance of jail time is very very high.!!
Following are details of online auction of India 1854 QV Queen Victoria 4 annas stamps including bidders, winners, # of bids etc. and also winner of some of this stamps.!!
Recently I saw India 1854 QV 4 annas stamp was sold for $350, $275, $229 & $123 by eBay seller "gsphila", which will be good for eBay shareholder who will be benefited by getting huge comission on this type of sale, if this is indeed genuine transaction.!!
What I mean by genuine transaction. You might be thinking that all transaction on eBay are genuine transaction, but that's not the case specially on stamp collection, because what I notice in last 4+ years that majority of them are fake transaction, where money is not paid to seller, because of shill bidding as it might be bought by seller's other id or mutally understanding between friends who might be helping him/her by bidding on it to increase price or some unknown bidder did not paid to seller.
But not only that we had seen lot of forgery stamp of some of the rare stamps available online which are sold as genuine stamps as well as replica or facsimile stamps.
Following is full mint sheet of India 1854 QV Queen Victoria 4 annas stamps, but it's FORGERY.!! Just apply forged rubber stamp and no one will notice that it's forged.!!
Not only that but if forged rubber stamp is applied to this stamp than it will be very hard to find out that it is really genuine used stamp or forged used stamps.
Following is Forged Used stamps of India 1854 QV Queen Victoria 4 annas stamps.!!
