Leather Folder SPECIMEN stamp - How to MAKE forgery or BOGUS stamps philatelic material.

Today I saw 1948 Gandhi SPECIMEN stamp from India which are FORGERY (copy or facsimile).

If seller don't mention it that following is a high quality copy (forgery) then someone will really get cheated.!! 

To me this is a BOGUS specimen stamp (never issued), but someone with extra creative mind decided to overprint and call it a genuine SPECIMEN stamp and it is published in lot of philatelic material.!!

Following is forgery stamp of that BOGUS stamp.!!!

Following is SPECIMEN stamp from leather folder which is BOGUS.!!

As per philatelic material (never trust them) this SPECIMEN stamp were issued in leather velvet folder with stamps with EMBLEM of India.

But while looking some of the rare stamps of Mahatma Gandhi and while researching I was surprised to see  two types of leather folder with specimen stamp.(there might be more).

Not sure there was it's an error folder or wide varieties issued by Swiss printer as per philatelic material such as stamp exhibit, handbooks, yearbooks etc with SPECIMEN stamp of 1948 Gandhi.

I don't think it will ERROR leather folder because as per philatelic material it was issued by Swiss printer Courvosier and they were one of the world's best printer.!!

So it's forgery or BOGUS (never exist) but it made it through various philatelic sources such as stamp Handbook, stamp exhibition, online stamp exhibition, auction houses, website, philatelic journal etc.

BTW : Emblem of India was official declared in 1951 were as this folder were issued in 1948.!! 

So it looks like nothing but BOGUS.!!

But also this is ILLEGAL use of Government of India Emblem.!! 

So Beware what you are buying it or collecting it or exhibiting it.!!

To me it looks like only 1948 Gandhi stamps has various folders.

There are lot of ILLEGAL use of Emblem of India with Gandhi stamps in order to make it more authenticate or genuine, but they forgot that it was not issued till 1951.!!

In past this rare specimen stamp in folder was for sale on eBay for one million rupees.!

Yes 1,000,000.!!  It's Ten lakhs rupees.!!

This is made for stamp INVESTMENT!!

It will be more than $2500 only from eBay + PayPal fees will be extra.!!

Or eBay is also CHEATED by seller not paying commission as they did not get money from buyer.!!

I am not sure who is "hitlerandgandhi" but to me he looks like a very rich person!! who is spending this kind of  offical white money openly in public auction market without any fear of goverment because all this transactions are recorded on ebay and paypal and they keeps this kind of information for 7-15 years or more depending on finiancial transaction for any future inquiry.

Do you think "hitlerandgandhi" is really paying for this item?

CHINA SPECIMEN OVERPRINT STAMP CARD - GENUINE OR FORGERY ?

"sephil.asia.dubai" eBay seller is selling China SPECIMEN overprint card (postcard) for $1250 without description such as year printed/issued.

So not sure when CHINA SPECIMEN OVERPRINT STAMP CARD was printed.

It's lot of money  for seller as well as for eBay shareholder if it is sold from eBay and PayPal fees.(Disclosure : I own eBay stock)

We had seen lot of SPECIMEN postcard from India as well all around the world which are nothing but forgery or BOGUS.

It's easy to print SPECIMEN on any postcard and call it a RARE postal history with SPECIMEN overprint on it.!!

So what are chances forgery of following SPECIMEN overprinted on China card.? 

(Let me make sure I am not expert so I cannot give certificate of forgery or genuine. It's upto buyer to decide as they have to give money to eBay and seller.)

My goal is to make you think about all possibilities.

Important thing to notice on this SPECIMEN stamp card from China is that 

• SPECIMEN is printed in English.  
• Republic of China Postage is also printed in English.

Now what are chances of this as BOGUS (never exist) or FAKE or Genuine as other printed postcard with SPECIMEN are all in Chinese language.

But not sure whether this is genuine SPECIMEN from China !! It will very very hard to find information from Chinese Communities government as every thing is very secured and it will be very hard to find out authenticity of any philatelic material.

Of course it's unique so it's valued $1250 by eBay seller "sephil.asia.dubai"

It's very hard to tell it's genuine or it's very hard to tell it's forgery or BOGUS because no one knows what happen in China communist postal department.

Now let's compare with other China SPECIMEN postcard with above postcard any you will be surprised.

1) There is no ENGLISH alphabet on it.
2) SPECIMEN is also in Chinese language

Even stamps are with Chinese alphabet for SPECIMEN.

Following are different ways to make money by selling stamps on Internet.

1) Make money by selling SPECIMEN postcard 
2) Make money by making RUBBER stamp
3) Make money by selling TRIAL PROOF waste by stealing it or by art using Photoshop.
4) Make money by selling FORGERY stamps
5) Make money by selling FORGED special cancellation from different cities.
6) Make money by selling FORGERY stamps as GENUINE.

Look at the following two specimen stamp from Montserrat and decide which one is Genuine and which one is FORGERY.

Montserrat  SPECIMEN (Muster stamp) on One stamp is printed with black ink and other is with silver ink.!!

Do you think they are also doing SPECIMEN of SPECIMEN stamp or Muster stamp (in German).!! in which they are checking which color will look good.!!

My personal opinion is both are forgery!!

Don't you think it's easy to make OVERPRINT stamps and make money.

If you sell regular stamp without any OVERPRINT  such as SPECIMEN or SERVICE or STATE NAME then it will have no buyer or you have to sell it at 1/10 or 1/20 price of OVERPRINT stamp.

Just buy stamp and use your printer to OVERPRINT SPECIMEN on it and SPECIMEN stamp is ready. Do It Yourself (DIY).

There are no buyer of  following Montserrat stamp of famous people for $5, so buy it and overprint with SPECIMEN and you can make $70 or $150.!!

My opinion is same way like other Expertising person or committee or society take responsibility of their opinion.!!

So if you buy it even with Expertising certificate, you are not sure whether it's GENUINE. !! and you can loose your money because no liability.!!

SPECIMEN POSTCARD : Making money by selling postcards on Internet.!!

Disclosure :- This is only to educate collector how easy it is to get CHEATED so every collector should be aware of this kind of activity.

If you make rubber stamps of "SPECIMEN" you can make 3000 Rupees by making FORGERY.!!

Yes Cheating collectors.!! Any way they are getting cheated .!! so they will not notice that they are cheated.!!

I think this is the easiest way to make money than selling  USED cover or REGISTER cover with  Gandhi stamps  because you need to create multiple things so prove it as genuine such 

1) Overprint on stamp (SERVICE or SPECIMEN or Moon Landing)

2) Rubber stamp with Post office name (make it)

3) CDS from receiving post office. (it's rubber stamp)

4) Forgery stamp on cover (make it)

5) Register label (print it)

6) Find address (forged it)

You just  need one postcard and apply "SPECIMEN" rubber stamp on postcard and start selling as India SPECIMEN postcard.

Following all 1969 Gandhi India postcard SPECIMEN  10 paise ( less than 1 cents) were sold as FORGERY for more than $7.!!

Each India SPECIMEN postcard was issued in 1969 with different theme such as Mahatma Gandhi Spinning Wheel, Mahatma Gandhi Outside his Ashram and Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.

This SPECIMEN can be applied to other postcards also and you can make money.!!

Also this "SPECIMEN" rubber stamp you can apply on other thematic postcard  from other countries also. Might have to use different ink or might have to make another rubber stamp, but concept is same.

Gandhi Briefmarken Specimen from Germany

 Hello Gandhi Briefmarken Collectors,

A specimen stamp is a postage stamp or postal stationery indicium sent to postmasters and postal administrations so that they are able to identify valid stamps and to avoid forgeries.

The usual method of invalidating the stamps is either overprinting in ink or perforating the word Specimen across the stamp. (From Wikipedia).

Also specimen stamps are made in very very limited quantity, but looks like following SPECIMEN stamp was made in large quantity as I have seen multipe stamp full stamp sheet as well as single stamp or incomplete stamp sheet.

Not sure how postmaster or postal administrators will validate stamp or identify forgery using following Specimen stamp with all kind of missing information such as issuing country, value of stamp etc....!!!

Not sure from which country this Specimen stamp is from!! But to me it looks like selling by eBay seller from Germany and Australia.!!

In past I wrote following blog posts about this Specimen stamp and to me it looks BOGUS Briefmarken (stamp). (Bogus stamps are pretended, fictitious stamps which purport to be produced by an entity that exists and could have produced them, but didn't. A bogus stamp is not a forgery because it never really existed. Here ENTITY also does not also exist.!! so it's Extra Bogus.!!)

This kind of stamp also don't have any value in stamps and philatelic exhibition as it will not carry any extra point of this kinds of Bogus stamps or Fake stamps or Error stamps because it's not represent reality.!!

Recently I was surprised when I saw Gandhi Briefmarken SPECIMEN on eBay Germany ebay.de selling for 250 Euros.!!

In past I have seen complete stamp sheet of  100 Gandhi Specimen stamp was not even sold for 2000 Euros.!! (20 Euros per stamp). Also similar sheet was for sale for $15000 - $45000.!!

So how stamps are sold and how we know what is the real value?

Also in past this kind of single stamp was sold from 30-50 Euros from seller Germany eBay seller and bought by some famous Gandhi Briefmarkensammler (stamp collectors).!!!

Following screenshot will show you that eBay seller "edva52" sold single stamp  for 49 Euros.!!! to "suratphilatelist", "coolblue1955" and "akhilesh_1983"

So now I am not sure how Gandhi Briefmarken are priced.!! 

It was not sold for 20 Euros per stamp when it was for sale in sheet of 100, but single stamp was sold for 30 Euros and 50 Euros, but current auction is for single stamp is for sale at 250 Euros. So is this a one of a kind Priceless briefmarken or Worthless briefmarken?

I am not expert but I can think and I am only reporting(news as press reporter) it what price it sold to whom and by who!! My freedom of speech allows me to express my personal view or opinion, so my view after taking overall picture of philately, on this Gandhi Specimen Briefmarken price is WORTHLESS because it's a BOGUS Briefmarken.!! 

Not sure about the BUYERS as I cannot speak for them as they have to make decision how much they want to pay for this kind of briefmarken.

King George KG GV Stamps - Specimen Stamps : Gandhi Specimen and King George India and King George Sri Lanka specimen stamp comparision : Are this all forgery ?

Hello Gandhi Stamp Collectors,

Recently I saw 1913 King George specimen stamp from India also known as KGV stamp or GV stamp and I compared with Sri Lanka King George - KG - KGV specimen stamp and I was surprised that forged specimen stamp looks more Genuine.

Before moving forward please read my other blog post related to King Edward stamps from India and King George Stamps for India to understand properly what's going in Philately world.

Forgery in Indian Stamps selling as Replica or Facsimile or copy !!

Fake King George postage stamp from Nigeria and King Edward stamp from BCA!!

India King George GV KG specimen stamp has hand stamped rubber stamp and to me it looks like used one alphabet at a time so it's not even in line.!! 

Also looks like error stamps.!! Look margin on left hand side.!! Also look perforation.!! Do you think it's error or something else.!!

Where as Sri Lanka GV stamp (King George stamp) has inline specimen stamp by hand stamped rubber stamp or printed on it.

Look at the clear perforation and also SPECIMEN printed on stamp.!!

Can you decide which is Genuine and which is one forged? 

Or 

BOTH are forged ?

Seller of Sri Lanka KG stamp is mentioning about Forgery or Replica stamp, but King George India stamp seller is not mentioning that it's replica so it means it'genuine. 

But I have never seen this kind of specimen rubber stamp or printed on stamp so buyer has to decide as I am not expert, but just expressing my views.

But now compare this Gandhi Specimen stamp WITHOUT COUNTRY NAME.!! as there is all other information missing on stamp such as face value of postage (money in Rupees, Pounds, German Marks)

As I mentioned in my previous blog post that is looks completely FAKE to me because it does not come under specimen stamp because it's missing all necessary information required to be specimen stamp.

So don't you think all specimen stamps needs to be viewed with suspicious eyes because it's all looks to me made as per demand and creativity of some collectors who wants to make your collection UNIQUE so you can win a exhibit.!! 

I don't think you have ever seen stamp without Country name or it's face value ? other then following stamp which seller's are trying to sell as SPECIMEN.!!

Following Gandhi Specimen stamp sheet of 100 stamps WITHOUT COUNTRY NAME was not even sold for $2500.!! from  seller  "edva52" of Germany.

Reason is simple.!! It's not a SPECIMEN stamp or not a STAMP also.!!

Don't you think it very easy to print stamps after looking all kinds of Replica or Facsimile for 1948 Gandhi stamps from India, King George or King Edward stamps from British India or Bird Prey Error stamp from India.

In this they just have to print it not even copy  anything.!! It's like a personalized stamp or custom stamp without unknown country.!!

Following screenshot is of  half sheet Gandhi Specimen stamp from seller "melbournestamps" from Australia was sold for $2000.!! from Indian eBay buyer  s***i (1146) "stampofindia".!!

Does this makes sense why buy 50 stamps less for $500.!! But it's upto seller to decide and buy(paying also) it in multi bid auction.!!

Don't know why but "Melbournestamps" is lucky to sell  some of the high priced Gandhi Stamps.

But recently I saw "melbournestamps" was also selling this full sheet of specimen stamp !!for $15,900 or Make Offer.!!

This Gandhi Specimen stamps are coming regularly since last 3-4 years or more on eBay auction from Australia as well as Germany and I don't see any LEGIT sale even at $2500.!!!

But seller is hoping for one buyer!! Of course all seller will hope for it.!! But here Gandhi Philately market is very very small or tiny compare to other investment item such as GOLD.!!

So what a price difference for this specimen stamp. One is selling for $2500 and other one is selling for $16000.!!!

But year ago "melbournestamps" was selling this sheet and guess  what it was more than double the current asking price.!!

So he/she reduce price by $21,000 !! Yes twenty one thousand US dollars.!!

But still  $13000 more than German seller.!!

To me it's worthless.!! As this is not even FACSIMILE or REPLICA or COPY what we see in other Gandhi Stamps and King George & King Edward Stamps from India.

But guess what there were 4 offers for this.!!

But still to me it is not a valid stamp because COUNTRY NAME is missing.!!

Also ASHOKA WATERMARK PAPER then it looks like it should be from India, but guessing don't work because there is also no money whether it's Indian Rupees or German Mark or Australian dollar or no money because no country.!!

Don't you think something BIG going on in Gandhi Stamps since long long time by Glorifying this kind of stamp in several exhibition,  yearbook, philatelic magazine, philatelic books etc along seller and bidders?

Single stamp was selling for 250 Euros.!!, but a year ago it was for 29 - 49 Euros.

So not sure what's going on.!! How collector will decide whether it's 29 Euros or 250 Euros.!!
