Stamp booklet : How to sell stamps from different Global location for $2200 ?

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

This blog post will educate how to market your stamps if you are selling.!! It's little bit complicate to understand, but if you get awareness from this post then you can solve big puzzle in Gandhi stamp selling.!!

Main thing to learn from this blog post is Location of item and Bidders bidding on Gandhi items.

Month ago I wrote blog post illegal usage or early usage about " Emblem of India on 1948 Gandhi Special Booklet or folder from Brazil is BOGUS (never issued). It's Early Usage of Emblem of India.!!"

Please read above blog post so you understand what I am talking about it.

In my previous blog post I mentioned about 1948 Gandhi stamps in Brazil folder or stamp booklet was sold for $750 in "BUY IT NOW" format instead of going through auction from $499.

Now same folder was auctioned and it was sold from TAIWAN for $2200.!! As per buyer seller did not obey "Buy it Now" purchase and resold it to same eBay id in auction.!!

Do you think BPA or RPS will issue expertizing certificate for this folder ?

To me it looks like MONEY grows on trees for Gandhi stamps collectors buyers.!!

How can you buy $2200 item without any expert advice.!!

But after cheated first time, will you Buy again if you are cheated in first place.!!

No way I will trust that seller.  Also I will not trust his folder also because it might be cheating!! If it was 2-3$ value I might risk my money, but for $2200 forget about it.

I researched more about the seller "bayphilatelics" from United States and selling from various location for items he sells on eBay. Some times it's San Ramon, CA !!

Following is China stamp selling from San Ramon, CA, USA.!!!

I don't understand how all this works!! But my guess it's a global business with great logistics and excellent supply chain.!!

But I don't know how a California buyer will be taxed  and how taxation works for this kind of small upcoming global export import companies,?

Do you really think it's worth $2200 or it's a false hope of Riches ?

There were 9 bidders and 15 bids on this item. But last 4 bidders brought price from $500 to $2200.

Now let's study about comments for this purchase.

Buyer gave NEUTRAL feedback on both purchase.

Don't you think one of them should be NEGATIVE, because it was eBay sold and seller did not obeyed eBay rules.?

Don't you think other one should be postive feedback.!! It only took 15 days to reach from Taiwan to India.!! I think it's reasonable time to reach (for register mail) if you consider all Christmas and New Year holidays observed by Taiwan and India postal administration. so Why slow shipment!!

But main thing is I will not trust this seller because it's $2200 is involved in this.!!

1) Do you really think item location is in Taiwan?
2) Or do you think it's in San Ramon?
3) Do you think it's really purchased for $2200?
4) Do you think eBay & Paypal got commission from this sale.? It should be almost $150-$160.!!
5) Where do you think income tax is paid ? In Taiwan or USA ?

So what do you think about this eBay transaction ?

Why I care about eBay commission and PayPal commission.?

(Disclosure : I am holding shares/stocks of eBay.)

I hope everything went good in this transaction, because it's lot of money.!!  And that's the reason I care about commission to eBay and PayPal.

Do you really think THIS IS A GLOBAL SELLING ?

Or one more way to fool collectors.?

Or to GLORIFY Gandhi stamps and philatelic material.!! ?

Thanks

Brazil stamps : Stamps are not alternate investments.

Hello Gandhi Stamp Collectors,

As you know that Brazil was also one of the country who honored Mahatma Gandhi in 1969 to celebrate Gandhi Birth Centenary (1869 -1969).

But if you see current pricing of Brazil stamps and First Day Cover you will be surprised. After 42+ years it's only selling under $10.

Following screenshot explains that it sold for $6 and $8.!!!

Both seller has very high feedback 34000 and 55000.!! so chances of SHILL bidding is very low. (But it still happens).

So keep in mind while investing that you don't get cheated by SHILL Bidders.

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?

9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!!

What is Gandhi Stamp Value ? Does it make sense to Invest in Gandhi stamps.!!

We all know how price are increased on eBay.

1) SHILL bidding
2) Not paying to seller
3) Selling with different accounts.

Now let's research about Gandhi Stamp Value.

I know you all might have following Gandhi stamps in your collection but this is blog post is for future new Gandhi collectors.

Above 12 stamps are very colorful from 9 different countries which are Brazil, Hungary, Chile, Tanzania, Guyana, Senegal , Morocco, Nevis & Ireland. Most of this stamps were issued in 1969 which is almost 40+ years.

But all this stamps were UNSOLD for $12 and now it for resale again at $13.!!!   Look at following screen shot of this Gandhi stamp value and it's amazing that same stamps are sold by 2 different sellers.!!

As I mentioned before that you can find MNH Gandhi Stamps any time as there are NO RARE stamps. It is made RARE by certain dealers who try to profit out of it.

So who ever bought this stamps 40 years ago and preserve this very nicely in album can't sell for $12 from 9 different countries.

In past we saw GANDHI DU CAMEROUN 2 STAMP 1969  sold for $2-3,  Gandhi SOMALIA 3 STAMPS 1969 sold for $3-4  and GANDHI SYRIAN TWO STAMPS 1969 sold for $1-2.

As I mentioned in my previous blog posts that Gandhi stamps are not for Investment. Now it's up to you to think whether Gandhi stamps make sense for Investment.!!!

You can also read my another blog post about Mahatma Gandhi Stamp - Is it for Investment ?

I know by writing this kind of information I am decreasing my own collection value, but it's OK to let other's new emerging  collectors what is True value of Gandhi  Stamp Collection instead of just using other technique to increase the prices.!!

Another example of same philatelic material sold by 2 different id.  Sellers are "sanu108" and "405940"

Following 3 covers from Suriname, Zambia and Costa Rica were on auction by 2 different sellers.!!!

Also Covers from Zambia and Costa Rica needs more research because CDS is unclear and not sure about postage rates at that time. So stay away from any Gandhi USED covers as it's a big scam going on.!!!

But looking all screen shot it looks like all  3 sellers id's is from same ebay seller.!!

"10saki88" , "sanu108" and  "405940" .!!

And might be more.!!

I hope you got my point.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.

Mahatma Gandhi Stamp - Is it for Investment ?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Want to know value of Mahatma Gandhi stamp then check out following screenshot. Also you can see it's not  in great demand as barely there are 1 or 2 bids and some of them were not even sold.!!

So it looks like Gandhi Stamps are not for INVESTMENT because after 40 years price of stamps is not increased at all or there is no buyer of this stamps!! So again if you are thinking for Investment in Gandhi Stamps then this is not a place to be.

Upper Volta - $0.99
Hungary - Magyar Posta - $0.99 (UNSOLD)
Germany - $0.99 (UNSOLD)
Cyprus (Se-Tenant) - $0.99 (UNSOLD)
Chile - $0.99
Brazil - $0.99

I hope this will help to new Mahatma Gandhi collectors what price they need to pay for Gandhi Stamps. I think you can get still cheaper as ebay.com  (US site) don't allow to list below $0.99.

As I mentioned before that you can find stamps easily within 1-2$.  There is enough for everyone so don't  need to rush to add in your collection  within 2-3 months of starting this.  People will try to increase price of some stamps so don't get in to that as they are not super rich to get it all and even if they get it let it keep it with them for this kind of stamps from Cameroun, Yemen, Somalia, Syria and all Gandhi overprints stamps.

Also don't try to buy it in a lot to save shipping. That is one of the reason you will get cheated.!!

Can't Believe this price.!! Also Can't believe that out of 4 stamps UNSOLD 3 were issued in 1969. Also in my previous blog post about  Unbelivable price of Germany Gandhi stamp was sold for $7.50.!!!  So not sure what going on in Gandhi Philately world.!!!

In short I think Mahatma Gandhi stamp is not for Investment.

Click following link to read more about above FAKE FDC with Gandhi Stamps.!!

Now after looking all of the above what do you think about similarity about First Aerial Mail.?

Don't you think this is FAKE cover because it has insufficient postage?

Following blog post will explain you that indeed that Indian Stamps and Philately (British India and 1948 Gandhi Stamps) needs to be examined before you even think about buying it.

Forgery in Indian Philately as well as 1854 Queen Victoria stamps.
Beware of First Aerial Mail.
King Edward stamp and Gandhi Stamps.!!
Gandhi Stamps and Independence of India. (shameless act !!)
A Hobby in Decline.!!

So don't you think similarity between seller ("buyitnowitem", "ph4uv" and "drpokiri") of Gandhi Philatelic material and other philatelic material such as First Aerial Post, British India Stamps,  Queen Victoria and King George Stamps.

Again thanks for reading and  Please share your thoughts in the comments section.

Thanks
Ketankumar Patel.
