Indian Philately Exposed !! : Forged Cancellation B/172 Straits Settlements

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

It looks like FAKE or Forged is a way to go in Indian Philately especially in British India, Indian Princely states and 1948 Gandhi Stamps as well as other Gandhi Philatelic material.!!

Following blog post will explain you that indeed that Indian Stamps and Philately (British India and 1948 Gandhi Stamps) needs to be examined before you even think about buying it.

Forgery in Indian Philately as well as 1854 Queen Victoria stamps.
Beware of First Aerial Mail.
King Edward stamp and Gandhi Stamps.!!
Gandhi Stamps and Independence of India. (shameless act !!)
A Hobby in Decline.!!

Recently I saw 2 auction of forged cancellation of East India stamp and Queen Victoria stamps were selling with forged cancellation. (Of course seller mentioned this are FAKE or Forged philatelic material otherwise I will not know.!!, also it's selling at very minimum price. I saw Gandhi forged stamps sold for $1000!! which was also FAKE(shill bidding).!!)

This are Forged cancellation on East India Company stamp from Penang Octagonal cancellation B/172 Straits Settlements  and Sungei Ujong Chop cancellation.!!! on Queen Victoria stamps, King George V stamps.!!

So don't you see similarity with Gandhi Philately material.!! Following cancellation  are some of the  FAKE or FORGED special cancellation, postmark cancellation or local post office cancellation. It's just a RUBBER STAMP which my kids use to play to make art work.!! such as butterflies, rainbow, animals, etc.!!

Read my blog post about following FAKE AND FORGED Gandhi stamps and philatelic cancellation.

I hope this will help future collectors whether they really want to start collecting GANDHI stamps and philately.!!

Some useful blog post which might help you to protect yourself from this gruesome philately world.!!

Thanks

Gandhi Stamps and Philately material auctioned in August 2012

Hello Gandhi Collector,

As you know that stamp collection is not simple as it use to be when world was very BIG (without internet).!! But with change in selling and buying habit on Internet it's very hard for collectors to know what is going on before they realize that they got cheated by FAKE stamps, FAKE Seller & FAKE price (by shill bidding).

I was cheated in 1948 Nepal Embassy of India cancellation (FAKE cancellation) , 1948 Gandhi stamps used cover(FAKE used cover), 1948 Gandhi FDC(shill bidding), Camerooun Gandhi FDC(shill bidding), Somalia & Yemen Gandhi stamps(shill bidding) and more but that experience taught me what is going on and I did extensive research on this Gandhi Stamps so I am able to share with everyone.!

All of this cheating will hurt you financially and as well as emotionally as you are on your own in this SMALL WORLD (with internet). It's a big puzzle which you need to solve it yourself.!!

You have only 2 options. One to quit your philatelic hobby or Join the club of cheaters and be like them.!!!

There is one more option which I choose, to bring AWARENESS among the collectors (which are also dealers & sellers.!!). This option is very hard to do but I think I can do it and you all can do it to bring some pride in what you collect.!!

I lost all auction I bidded in August.!!!

Either I don't know what is real value of Gandhi stamps and philatelic materials.

OR

I know what's going on Gandhi Philately and Stamps collection.

It's upto you to decide (why I am not winning.!!) after reading my 200+ blogs on just one topic.!!

Following is screenshot of my bidding activities on eBay auction site on Gandhi Philately material.!!! In August highest price of Gandhi Philately material sold(on which I bidded) was $4550.!!!

ALL INFORMATION IS OPENLY AVAILABLE SO WE ARE NOT TRYING TO DO ANY CHEATING OR VIOLATIONS.!! We just need to use it and protect ourselves as well as others.!!

As all of you know that you can see detail of auction you bidded on .!!

1) Auction id(item #)
2) Start & End date
3) Price (winning bidder price or current highest bidder)
4) Title
5) Higher Bidder (BUYER) ------------> This is the most important part of puzzle(collection).!!!!!
6) Seller.

You need to track buyer and seller in order to succeed your philatelic ambition otherwise you are done.!!!

You need to keep detail of your bidding because you never know when you need it for research. If you don't know how to find it then read my following blog post.

How to find who is buying on eBay ?

( YOU DON'T NEED ALL THIS STUFF FOR DELCAMPE.NET AUCTION SITE.!!!!!!!!!!! BECAUSE IT'S ALREADY OPEN!!)

If seller wants to hide this info he can do it. Just by listing as private listing by hiding bidders id and also by giving private feedback.!!! ( and I don't bid on private auction and that kind of seller.!!)

It's easy to do everything.!! i.e finding and hiding.!!

Want to know more then please read my following blog post so you will be not on your own.!!

Forgery in Indian Philately as well as 1854 Queen Victoria stamps.
Beware of First Aerial Mail.

A Hobby in Decline.!!

I hope this will help you.!! (buyer and seller.!!)

First Aerial Post : Do you really think it's RARE and demands such a high price in philatelic collection? Is it valid in philatelic exhibition if postage stamps used is not valid ? or it's VALUE LESS.!!

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Don't think 1911 Aerial Post mail with special cancellation is RARE. Check my previous blog about aerial post and you will be amazed that in past 2 months on eBay I have seen more than 20+ on sale!! and almost all of them got sold.!! at very high price.!! (My Gandhi stamp collection experience tells me there might something flaky going on!!)

Even after 101+ years this many quantity available in open public auction site.!!

Also even if following is Genuine cover, I don't think $1860 is correct value for this cover with special cancellation because lot of factors needs to be consider before it is valued. But main thing is Stamp collection HOBBY is in DECLINE and world economy is also not doing good since last 5 years!! so I am not sure where the money is coming or it's just artifical inflated price.!!

This might be GLORIFICATION of "First Aerial Post"!!

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!! and think why someone will pay $1860 for this kind of philatelic material which is hard to believe that it's indeed GENUINE.

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

Following are 2 blog post which explain similarity between 1948 India Gandhi Philatelic material  with 1911 First Aerial Post with British India stamp.

1) FAKE cancellation of First Aerial Post  (It's easy to make Rubber stamp & buy INK !!)

In this blog post I am comparing with total postage requirement for register mail. But let me tell you that no expertizing society such as BPA or RPS is going to provide certificate for cancellation(rubber stamp).!!

They will only provide for stamp whether it is Genuine or Fake, but not to the special cancellation. My guess for why they only provide for stamps not for rubber stamp cancellation is because it's very easy to make and no one will take guarantee for this.!!

Above cover is mailed to Dublin (England) has only 8 annas stamp of King Edward VII. I am not sure how much postage was required in 1911 but looking to following aerial post exhibit it looks like 8 annas was required for registration only + postage depending on destination.

So I am not sure whether above cover has valid postage. Also above cover needed extra postage as it was mailed to Europe.

Whereas following screenshot indicates it required one anna postage was required for local mailing address (Jubbulpore now Jabalpur) and 8 annas for registration charges.

According to me this needs to have some kind of "POSTAGE DUE" stamp or should have sufficient postage since start as it is Register mail which requires human interaction and cannot be dropped in any mail box.!! So I am not sure whether this can be consider GENUINE or ERROR or it's just Forgery.!!

But I had seen this kind of activity in Gandhi Philately so I am not surprised at all.!! Which indicates that there is lot of similarities between Gandhi Stamps (India Stamps) and Philatelic materials.

Following is  example of Gandhi 1948 philatelic material with incomplete postage stamps.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/01/tibet-1949-gandhi-stamp-registered.html

DON'T YOU THINK SIMILARITIES BETWEEN GANDHI PHILATELY AND BRITISH INDIA STAMPS AND PHILATLEY.!!

I think so.!!

http://peterjennings.co.uk/aerialpost.pdf

Did you notice difference between this 2 covers ? (hint : registration rubber stamp).!! This is for you to research. Also there are more differences.!!

I am not expert on British India stamps and philately but using just common sense with easily available information. Let me know if I am wrong in postage calculation as I am completely dependent on available exhibit.!! Very interesting exhibit to read.

Need to do lot of research before you buy this kind of philatelic material.

Following are screenshot taken from eBay which is widely available (anyone can see feedback, seller name, ebay item # etc) to general public which will explain detail about this everything related to transaction including price, seller, buyer and bidders. (This is like looking to complete transaction on  delcampe).

Date of sale:- Jun 05, 2012
Happy Seller :- gumpa (Poland)
Proud Buyer :- drpokiri
Price :- $1860
Item # :- 261034440697
# of bids :- 18
# of bidders :- 12

Do you think this is really worth for $1860!!!!!!!!!! when whole world is running away from this kind of hobby.!! or something else what we use to see same way we always looks (shill bidding, false inflated price or ?) in Gandhi Stamps and Philately material.!!

Do you really think eBay got comission on this sale.? (It's about $150 if PayPal is also counted.!!)

But who cares. !! eBay shareholder is making money on commission from this kind of sale including PayPal. (disclosure: I own eBay shares/stock in my retirement account.!!)

All information is collected from eBay which is/was openly available to everyone like you get it on delcampe auction site. Nothing to hide if it's legal.!! and be proud of collection.

So when the price is high (expensive) it needs to be make sure that you are not getting any facsimile, fake cancellation or getting ripped off by shill bidding  same way it's happening in Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic material.

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic materials.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?

7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) First Aerial Post - Indian Philately Exposed - Part III
10) 1911 First Aerial Post - Allahabad - Indian Philately Exposed - Part IV

So this is the 3rd case were we can see lot of similarity between Gandhi Philately and other British India stamps and philately specially in First Aerial Post !!

ARE STAMPS FOR INVESTMENT ? : 75 Years of Salt Satyagraha Gandhi Stamp

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Following are my previous blog post which will explain about large quantity of Gandhi stamps, FDC and Miniature Sheet available on eBay.

5) 1969 Gandhi Germany stamp and FDC

So make sure before you buy Gandhi stamps and FDC because there are lot out there. Don't think it's RARE or unique.!!

You will read lot that stamps for investment but in reality it's nothing but false or incorrect information provided using blogs, website, newsletter, year books, catalog value etc.

Actually stamps value is declining instead of investment.

Now look at the following screenshot and you will be amazed that 100 Miniature Sheet of 75th Anniversary of Salt Satyagraha is still available for only $100. ($1 each.!!). But it's not pricing but shear # of stamps available.

Following will explain importance of this stamp sheet. It was issued in 2005 to celebrate 75th Anniversary of Salt March (Dandi Kooch).

(From Wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_March)
The Salt March, also known as the Salt Satyagraha began with the Dandi March on March 12, 1930, and was an important part of the Indian independence movement. It was a direct action campaign of tax resistance and nonviolent protest against the British salt monopoly in colonial India, and triggered the wider Civil Disobedience Movement.

This was the most significant organized challenge to British authority since the Non-cooperation movement of 1920–22, and directly followed the Purna Swaraj declaration of independence by the Indian National Congress on January 26, 1930. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (commonly called Mahatma Gandhi) led the Dandi march from his base, Sabarmati Ashram near Ahmedabad, to the sea coast near the village of Dandi.

As he continued on this 23 day, 240 mile (390 km) march to produce salt without paying the tax, growing numbers of Indians joined him along the way. When Gandhi broke the salt laws at 6:30 am on April 6, 1930, it sparked large scale acts of civil disobedience against the British Raj salt laws by millions of Indians.

The campaign had a significant effect on changing world and British attitudes toward Indian independence and caused large numbers of Indians to join the fight for the first time.

But there are lot of cheating going on in order to make STAMPS for Investment.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!!

Thanks

1948 GANDHI FDC: HOW TO DETERMINE WHETHER IT IS GENUINE OR FORGERY.!!

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

You have to decide whether following FDC (Private FDC without official cachet) is indeed Genuine. You can read my previous blog posts and compare with it.

But if I was you I will stay away from PRIVATE FDC because chances of forgery will be very high.!!

Recently I was researching for how to detect forgery and I got a very good information from Lithuanian Philately which expose all fake/forgery philately material with detail information of ebay id, item # and comments. Following is the link everyone needs to study before you collect any Gandhi Philately material because forgery is same every where whether it's Lithuanian stamps or Gandhi Stamps and you find some familiar seller from the list.

http://lithuanianphilately.com/forgeries/exposed.html

Now one of the seller "ph4uv" I found is my research for this blog post. He sold some Lithuanian Covers which according to them is FAKE.!!

Now that seller "ph4uv" is also selling Gandhi Philately material. I am not sure whether following cover is FAKE or Forged but we all collectors need to be aware of all the things before we buy it.

Following is PRIVATE Gandhi 1948 FDC sold by "ph4uv". How can we trust this seller as in past he had sold some FAKE philatelic material.!!

Following is screenshot of bidder list who bidded on this item. Not sure whether this bidder knows about activity of this seller.

You might be wondering what to do with bidder list. But this is Gandhi Philately. Everything needs to be looked in order to make sure it's a valid transaction.

If you really want to know who the buyer is then look feedback of buyer and you will find it if transaction is partially completely if item is not return or lost etc. If buyer feedback for seller is postive then we can still say transaction is partially complete.!! (because buyer and seller agreed to returned it.!!). But eBay will know what happen actually.!!

So what do you think about this Private FDC? Is it Genuine or FAKE?

I am not telling this is FAKE FDC but looking to things going in Gandhi Philately we need to doubt each and everything as in past we had seen 1948 FAKE cancellation (rubber stamp), Private FDC with FAKE cancellation etc.

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on 1948 Gandhi India stamps and compare this with this FDC and you decide before you bid on this Gandhi 1948 FDC or any other Gandhi Private FDC or Gandhi Mourning Coveror any 1948 Gandhi FDC.!!

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II

As you read this blog post don't you think that FAKE/FORGERY Cancellation is a way for Gandhi Philately including 1948 Gandhi Stamps from India.!! along with highly inflated price and not buying it (not paying it).

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.

Gandhi FDC from Kazakstan, Hungary, Malta, Cyprus, South Africa

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Look at following screen shot and you will notice outrageous price of Gandhi FDC from Kazakstan, Hungary, Malta, Cyprus and South Africa.!!

Don't you consider this as a scam in Gandhi Philately trying  to get money from new stamp collectors.!!

My research indicates that this FDC's should not be more than a 1-3$ each and some  may be less.!!

All FDC's are widely available some times under $1 and I am not sure why this seller is starting is auction at $55 - $75.!!!

If you buy this kind of philatelic material you will quit this hobby and this might be one of the reason why stamp collection is in DECLINE.!!

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

1854 QUEEN VICTORIA STAMPS : Forgery in Indian stamps & Gandhi Boycott Label

Hello Gandhi Stamp Collectors,

I know I am going out of my topic, but to understand wide picture of current philately trend we need to see complete picture and that's what I am researching this 1854 Queen Victoria Anna stamps, King Edward 1902 stamp, 1911 Aerial Post mail from Allahabad  and other Indian Stamps specially from British India and Princely States of India.!!

Recently while studying some Forgery stamps about 1948 Gandhi stamps, I came across with 1854 stamps from India printed by Lithograph and  I was surprised when I saw it was selling as Forgery (Deemed False).

Then I compare some of the Gandhi stamps and boycott label and I can see lot of similarities between Gandhi Stamps and Stamps from India. I cannot believe that there is lot of forgeries in Indian stamps specially in British India stamps (Pre-Independence) and Gandhi stamps and Philately material.

Both of the following labels were printed with lithograph printing and to me it all reprinted (Forged) as genuine is very very hard to available or impossible to available same way like Gandhi Service stamps used on cover. You can find Gandhi Service stamp on paper but it's all forged cancellation (rubber stamps).

Check out my following blog post about FAKE 1948 Gandhi stamps from India and you will start thinking what are possibilities.

So when price is high (expensive) it needs to be make sure that you are not getting any facsimile or photocopy of stamps.!!

You can read about Gandhi Boycott label blog post by clicking following link.

The first stamps valid for postage throughout India were placed on sale in October, 1854 with four values: 1/2 anna, 1 anna, 2 annas, and 4 annas. Featuring a youthful profile of Queen Victoria. All four values were designed and printed in Calcutta, and issued without perforations or gum. All were lithographed except for the 2 annas green, which was produced by typography from copper clichés or from electrotyped plates.

Following are some of the Forgery stamps available on eBay so please beware before you buy any Indian stamps specially British-India and Indian States as you will buy some FAKE or Forged stamps if you are not careful.

Following are some of the famous FAKE Gandhi stamps and philately I am  aware off.

1) Fake Pictorial Postmark Cancel To make collection unique or money.!!
2) Fake Postcards Just to make little money.!!
3) Fake seller (pretending from different country or trying to outbid .!!)
4) FAKE Error Stamp (to make money!!)

Following are screenshot which mentioned that it's Deemed False or Forgery so that's good thing otherwise collectors will be in big trouble.

But it's just common sense, how in the world after 150+ years you will find a very good quality of stamps and that one too in block of 4.!! I had also seen pane of 16 selling for unbelievable price.

So don't you think it's a huge push to get rid of all FAKE or Forgery material before stamp collection is bottomed out. Don't you think this Forgery is adding in decline of this hobby.!!

Following is example of Forgery of 39 Indian State Stamps.!! (7 already sold.!!). You can see 1854 QV stamps in it. So beware when you buy any Indian stamps specially from States of India or British India stamps.!!

So to all my fellow collectors please beware of FAKE and Forgery Gandhi Stamps and Philately materials available.!!

Following screenshot indicates that even block of 4 Queen Victoria RED lithograph is available in FORGERY.!!

Now let's see following screenshot and you will be surprised that a pane of 16 is also available for $3850!!  I am not sure whether it's Forgery or Genuine. I will let you decide.!!

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic material with 1948 Gandhi stamps.

After looking to this value to me it looks like no one wants to collect stamps in this modern world, because there are lot of others things to do, such as play video games on ipad, xbox, gamecube or on internet surf on web or facebook or lot of other outdoor activity such a hiking, skating, running etc or watch different shows on TV or sports games such as Cricket or Football or Basketball or just talking on smartphone or chating.!!

After all this kind of things you don't get any more extra time to pursue your hobby of stamp collection were not that many people are involved and you feel like retard when you talk to friends.!!

Also there are lot of cheating such as Forgery stamps, Shill bidding, BOGUS philatelic material  involved in stamps collection.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.

8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM

GANDHI STAMPS & INDEPENDENCE DAY OF INDIA

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

Happy Independence Day to all my blog reader from India as well as all PIO (Person of Indian Origin). On 15th August 1947 after more then 200 years, it was the first time people of India were feeling PROUD TO BE INDIAN on this date as they were freed from British Rule.

On 15th August 1948 exactly after one year of Independence of India, Mahatma Gandhi stamps (set of 4) were issued by India  to celebrate this proud day for every Indian.

But since last 3+ years I am seeing wide range of wrong/illegal things happening in Gandhi Stamps and Philatley material even though it was issued on this first anniversary of Indian Independence and also this trend is continued till today, by making/selling FAKE or Forgery stamps and Cancellation of this 1948 Gandhi Stamps.

Some one made forgery cover or any philatelic material and it will flow in market without anyone can guarantee it's a genuine and collector will display in exhibit or collector will send it to philatelic handbook author so it will be in the book or it will be announced in newsletter or blog or website and it will be glorified as genuine.!!

But in reality it is a forgery philatelic material which we will try to collect it. We had seen this example in 2009 Germany special cancellation with Illegal use of Emblem of India and Gandhi image from Winnenden on October 2nd to celebrate International Day of Non-Violence.!!

One of my favorite forgery is from Indian Embassy of Nepal Cancellation on 1948 Gandhi stamps cover FDC with date of 15th August 1948 which was Sunday.

Recently I saw Tibet 1933 handmade paper cover with Nepal transit seal on 1948 India Gandhi stamp.!! It's not amazing that 1948 Gandhi stamps on 1933 Tibet Cover.!!!

Description on eBay is Tibet 1912 1st issue (Reproduction) with 1/2t dark blue (scott no 10) & 1t carmine bisected (scott 11) stamps on handmade paper envelope with Nepal Transit on Gandhi Stamp cancelled. The seller cannot guarantee the genuineness as it is bought from a US dealer.!!

Handmade paper cover.!!! it's another way to make philatelic more interesting.!! with dual cancellation from Tibet and Nepal and India stamp used abroad.!!

But more amazing thing is that seller does not guarantee that this GENUINE.!! (It's good that seller mentioned this so collector will not get cheated unlike other seller.). But seller did not mentioned about Indian Embassy Nepal cancellation.!! (just Nepal transit)

But if you look closely it has cancellation from Indian Embassy of Nepal.!!

Before seeing this cover I was under impression that this circular cancellation applied on cover is indeed Genuinely applied on all cover, but after looking above cover, I am questioning this circular cancellation also along with comet cancellation.

Previously I was questioning only comet cancellation which is applied on cover with dated 15th August 1948.(not with cachet cover and special cancellation issued on 15 August, which are also FAKE/Forgery some times.!!)

Even certification experts such as BPA and others don't certified cancellation !!! because it's easy to make one or get from post office!!!!!!!!!

Please read my following blog post to understand correctly what happened in past in Indian Embassy of Nepal cancellation as well as Tibet cover with 1948 Gandhi Stamp, so you get some idea about this kind of philately material and whether you should invest (collect) in this or not.

Now after reading above blog post don't you think FORGERY in cancellation of 1948 India Gandhi  stamps.

I have one 1948 Gandhi private FDC (cover without any cachet, not on officially Indian P&T cover)  on just simple cover with Nepal Indian Embassy cancellation in my collection bought around $80 which I regret (all the time) buying it because I was not aware of things going in Gandhi Philately. So Beware of this kind of material otherwise you will also regret like me.!!!

This is how to make money on Philately material by just
using Mint stamp available under $2 and sell it for $50-$80!!
I think I paid too much for that private FDC (FAKE FDC) with comet cancellation.!! (For 1 1/2 anna to $80.!!!). It was not only me but some famous collectors also got trap.!! You might have got  idea from my previous 4 blog post about this.

Even one of the collector/dealer (not verified) offered me to buy back my cover so I shut my mouth.!!

But anyhow this Tibet cover with India Gandhi stamp  was sold for $9.99 on June 13 with single bidder, but it was again in auction for $29.99 with auction ending on July 18th with no bidder.!!

Don't know why it was again for auction !! But your guess is my guess.!! As a Gandhi Stamp Collector you might have seen same item coming again for auction.

It's nothing new in Gandhi Philately were price is inflated by not paying after winning auction so other collector will assume it's a good buy so in future they will try to get it if they available cheaper.!!

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic material with 1948 Gandhi stamps.

2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?

6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II

After reading all of the above blog post in which very very high price was paid for 1948 Gandhi stamps cover and falsely inflated price.

Also now new collectors are getting into this hobby, but there is a huge push to create a glorification of 1948 Gandhi stamps from India on FDC as well as used on cover.

Don't you think we need to protect this stamp as it was issued for special purpose and stop all kind of illegal activity in 1948 India Gandhi Stamps and Philately material, which was to celebrate this proud day for every Indian.

Thanks

India King Edward 25 Rupees Stamp

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Recently on eBay I saw 1902 King Edward India 25 Rupees Stamp of India(British India) and it was sold for $2150!!

Do you really think this stamp is worth $2150, when stamp collection is declining very fast, so we need to look in to this ???????

After reading description I was surprised that this stamp is very rare than 1948 India Gandhi 10 Rupees Stamp, so I decided lets' do some research outside my collection topic.!!

Before you read my blog post, please read MSNBC article about "The Stamp Racquet Stickiest SCAM on the Internet"

We had seen lot of Replica or Facsimile or Photocopy stamp of 1948 Gandhi stamps from India as well as other following  British Central Africa 1907 KE stamp and 1904 King Edward stamp from Northern Nigeria.

Yes it is replica of King Edward Stamp.!! which was sold only for $5.!! and that's also for two stamps.

Looks like higher the face value of stamps such as 25 Rupees KE stamp from India, 25 Pounds King Edward stamp from Northern Nigeria, 10 Shilling KE stamp from Southern Niegeria higher the chances.

So looking to above 2 King Edward stamp what are chances of following 1907 KE Southern Nigeria King Edward stamp SG43 which is selling on eBay. If we can see see Nigeria 1904 KE stamp, British India King Edward stamp as replica then we need to think about this.

We had seen this in  Gandhi stamp collection, were everyone think they are smarter than other.!!! Do you think this apply to other BRITISH INDIA stamp also.

Click one of the following link and you will become smarter.!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.
7) First AirMail Post
8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM
11) SCANDAL in stamp collection
12) How to increase stamp collection value

Now does it make sense to collect stamps after looking above blog posts?

As this is very RARE than 1948 India Gandhi 10 Rupees stamp what are the chances of facsimile  of this 25 Rupees stamp ? I think chances are very high if we compare with Gandhi 1948 Stamps facsimile which are currently selling as facsimile 1948 Gandhi 10 Rs. in huge quantity.

Read my following blog post to understand what's going in Gandhi 10 Rupees stamps (facsimile world) and then make sure about any expensive stamps.

So when price is high (expensive) it needs to be make sure that you are not getting any facsimile or photocopy of stamps.!!

Following are some of the FAKE items we are aware off.

1) Fake Pictorial Postmark Cancel To make collection unique or money.!!
2) Fake Postcards Just to make little money.!!
3) Fake seller (pretending from different country or trying to outbid .!!)
4) FAKE Error Stamp (to make money!!)

This 25 Rupees King Edward stamp from India (eBay item #  2007-5036-3969) was sold by ebay seller "simrenzo1" from Australia for $2150 only for single stamp with 17 bidders bidding on it.!!!!!

Do you think this is a Genuine Transaction? ( Forget about Genuine transaction, Yes I am talking about Genuine or Real or Authentic transaction!!! where seller paid all fees to eBay and buyer never return this item!!!)

Looks like eBay is really making money on this King Edward sale as eBay will get around $150 or more (including PayPal) commission on this just single stamp sale. So eBay shareholder will do good.!! (I own eBay share/stock.!!)

From the above I see lot of  SIMILARITIES  with Gandhi Stamps seller and buyer.!!!!!!

O.M.G!! Do you think a big game or scam?

But when I saw full set of King Edward India stamp of 2, 3,5,10,15, 25 Rupees along with some overprint (OHMS) stamps on 25 Rupees, 15 Rupees, 10 Rupees and other 10 stamps of lower value of pies and annas, just selling (Buy it Now) for $2450 from Taipei, Taiwan by "tw123tw" (unmabc).

You know what happen in China/Taiwan. You can find everything FAKE such as Gucci, Coach, Rolex etc. If that's possible how about just printing on  paper.!!

BTW : No buyer yet for this set of 20 stamp.!!

I am not sure why no buyer, but that's not what this blog post is about, but it's to bring awareness about facsimile, shill bidding and pricing going around in stamp collection hobby even though stamp hobby is declining.!!

So when the price is high (expensive) it needs to be make sure that you are not getting any facsimile or getting ripped off by shill bidding !!

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic materials.

Looking to current philately  trend I think this stamp is not worth what it is selling for !! so beware before you buy it.

Thanks
Ketankumar Patel.
