Stamp Collecting facts

Recently I saw 1969 Gandhi FDC from Malta and looks like now Gandhi stamp collection is also declining.!!!

Look at the following screenshot and you decide what's going on and after that move your plan for stamp collecting.!!!

If you don't keep current trends and blindly start beleiving all this investment advisior or some greedy collector who will suck your money.!!!

Also don't look at all that website that try to glorify stamp collection by exhibiting Forged or Bogus philatelic material which are mentioned as very RARE or unique stamp or used cover or special cancellation.!!!

Don't look at all award winning stamp exhibition or online exhibit and think that they really collectible item, because everyone is involved including stamp collectors, philatelic judges etc. Because everyone wants to keep the relationship and no one has guts to speak out TRUTH even though some of them collect Gandhi stamps but don't follow his principle.!! "TRUTH IS GOD".!!

All this collectors are making living by false or incorrect information on newsletter, stamp boards, stamps forum, blogs, websites, stamps yearbook, philatelic handbook etc.

Their main goal is to involved also you in all kinds of cheating so they can prosper.!!!

Of course there are some genuine collectors but it's very hard to find.!!! But it will be very hard to trust them even what you experienced with other collectors.!!

Also all description on eBay or feedback is nothing but lie.!! It's all about Shill Bidding by using other eBay id or friends helping each other.!!!

This 3 FDC were sold for $1.68.!!! including Mahatma Gandhi stamp and cachet of Gandhi's image and Flag of India.!!

Even there were 2 bidders bidding on it but no one wants to pay higher to buy it.!!!

So even after 44+ years stamp collection value is not appreciating because no one wants to collect stamps.!!!!

Want to learn more about stamp collecting then read my some of the following blog and you will be expert in collecting.!! ( find out how to cheat in stamp collection.).

ART OF MAKING MONEY - "PHILATELY GREED"

Stamp Collection Decline.!!

Is Gandhi stamps all about Forgery ? Biggest SCAM in stamp collection ?

A stamp collecting hobby in decline.!!

Greatest Stamp Collection SCANDAL ?

You need to special careful when collecting following philatelic material

1) Gandhi stamps and philatelic material.
2) King George stamps
3) King Edward stamps
4) First Aerial Mail or First Aerial Post or First Air Mail cover
5) China stamps
6) Queen Victoria stamps.

In short my advice for investment or collection will be look some where else instead of stamps, because it's very easy to make forgery stamps using latest and greatest printing technology available to normal collector.!!

Also to create postmark or cancellation is also very easy and it will very hard to find out what was available in 1948 or 1930 or 1902 or 18XX.

It's a piece of paper.!!

I hope all the above blog post helps you in finding out stamp collecting facts or stamp collection facts.!!

1969 Malta Stamps

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

As we all have value in mind while collecting philatelic material because philatelic material does not come free.!!

Also it needs to be taken care very nicely for all those years we collect by preserving in nice album in a plastic wrapper or a box etc. So it needs to appreciate a lot and keeping up with inflation of money.!!

Now look at the following screenshot and think do it deserve this kind of valuation after 43+ years.!!

1969 Malta stamp of Gandhi on first day cover was sold for 47 cents.!!

Yes 47 cents after 43+ years.!!

Do you think it will go more lower than this price ?

I think so because there are chances that this PIECE OF PAPER might not be taken care properly and it will get spoiled by water or weather and it will be worthless because no one will buy it.!!

Read my all post related to Malta Gandhi stamps and make sure you are aware of things which will help you with my experience of just 4 years. But it's a lot.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/search/label/MALTA

So do you think stamps are for investment ?

I don't think so except few and there are very less people like Bill Gross can afford it and if they afford it they will donate it to philatelic museum. For them it's not investment it's hobby.!!

He has donated more than 100 million to various charity and schools so for him  to buy some very rare stamps like Inverted Jenny (only 100 exist in world) for 2-3 million dollar for a block of 4 and donate it to museum so everyone can see it.!!

Click following link to read my blog post about Inverted Jenny.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/10
/king-george-stamp-and-king-edward-stamp.html

Also he wants to make his USA collection complete so he bought it. He might have spend 5-10 million also in order to get as for him money does not matter.!!

Only 1948 10 Rupees Gandhi SERVICE stamp comes near to Inverted Jenny and that might be only INVESTMENT stamp in Gandhi collection. All other will never be for Investment.

So all that ROI you read is nothing but false propaganda just attract new collectors.

They don't collect Gandhi stamps which are very widely available(even 1948 Gandhi stamps) because of shear quantity printed which will not make any value.

So all the you read about Bill Gross example is not a valid or right example for stamp investment.!!

Thanks

Malta stamps Gandhi : Is SKY falling or SKY is the limit in Gandhi stamps and philatelic material.!!

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

Looks like sky is falling on Gandhi philately.!!

Recently I saw register Malta 1969 Gandhi stamp used First Day Cover send to Belgium with other 2 extra postage was sold only for $4.!!

Can't believe that after 40+ years Gandhi First Day Cover is selling for so cheap.!!

Don't know why it's so cheap even though it's official stamp issued by government, but my guess is lot of cheating in buying philatelic material by shill bidding, overflowing of Gandhi personalised stamps and philatelic material and decline in stamp collection hobby is major factor.

Looks like Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic material are not for INVESTMENT.!!! It's just hobby which is declining like other hobby such as coin collection, baseball cards, match box label etc.

But if you see following screenshot from seller "Phil4u", "Bobby92" and "7656" then you will think SKY is the limit in Gandhi Philately.!! because Malta First Day Cover is selling for $45 -$15!!

Just F.D.C which are widely available and not even postally used register cover with extra stamps like we saw on above screenshot.

I know it's seller choice to sell what ever price they want to sell.

But it's up to buyer how much they want to pay.

Now look at following screenshot where seller is selling for $2!!

If you have money to throw away then start collecting  British India Stamps, 1948 Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic material and you will have a PIECE of PAPER (with no peace of mind.!!).

Still cannot decide then read following blog post which might help you.

Still not decided then my opinion is AVOID it all the cost.!! and have peace of mind instead of worrying you are buying Genuine material.!!!

To me all Gandhi Philatelic material available ( specially before 1950) looks FAKE or Forgery as it is very hard to find Genuine stuff and as new collectors (like me) wants to collect, so some greedy experienced collectors/dealers will provide  all of us as well as experienced collectors.!!

Still want to do research how some collector throw money on Gandhi Philatelic material then please read my other blog post and you can follow them.!!

Malta Gandhi Stamp

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

In 1969 Malta honored Mahatma Gandhi by issuing stamp of him. This is also one of the best designed stamp issued in 1969.

Malta officially known as the Republic of Malta, is a Southern European country consisting of an archipelago situated in the centre of the Mediterranean, 93 km south of Sicily and 288 km east of Tunisia, with the Strait of Gibraltar 1,826 km to the west and Alexandria 1,510 km to the east.

What amazed me is that after 42 years this stamp price is not appreciating at all. If you see my following screenshot you will get idea what is the current selling price of Gandhi Stamp from Malta.

Stamp was NOT even sold for $0.41(41 cents).!!! That's amazing. It indicates me that there is enough for everyone.!!

Even FDC was sold for very low price. It was sold for  $1, $3 and $4. If you see FDC has very good cachet of India flag, final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi "Raj Ghat" & Map of Malta and where as other has flag of India and Gandhi face on cachet.

Not sure why such a low value of Mahatma Gandhi Philatelic items.!! Looks like Gandhi Stamp is not for investment at all.

So again buyer please do necessary research before buying in bidding war with some shill bidder who is trying to increase value of it's collection or increasing value of their own selling item or helping their friends to increase selling price.

Want to see some amazing price going on Malta Gandhi Stamp/FDC then click following link and see yourself how you will get trap in some auction that starts at INITIAL HIGH  PRICE.

http://delcampe.net/list.php?language=E&searchString=malta+gandhi+&cat=0&searchMode=all&searchTldCountry=net&searchInDescription=N&sort=price_present_DESC&page=1&useAsDefault=N

You need to think this also before you buy.  You can see which sellers are trying to make money from you and try to avoid buying at high price from them. You will find it cheaper when time comes for you or just don't need everything.!!

In above link you can also see Malta stamps are selling from 07-30 cents!!!

Update on 12/15/2011:-

Check out price of Malta Gandhi FDC sold recently. Also see unsold 20 stamp block of Malta Gandhi stamp.!!

Do you think Gandhi stamps is really for investment.

New collector please make sure before about pricing before you start collecting so you don't regret.

Again thanks for reading and  Please share your thoughts in the comments section.

Gandhi FDC from Kazakstan, Hungary, Malta, Cyprus, South Africa

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Look at following screen shot and you will notice outrageous price of Gandhi FDC from Kazakstan, Hungary, Malta, Cyprus and South Africa.!!

Don't you consider this as a scam in Gandhi Philately trying  to get money from new stamp collectors.!!

My research indicates that this FDC's should not be more than a 1-3$ each and some  may be less.!!

All FDC's are widely available some times under $1 and I am not sure why this seller is starting is auction at $55 - $75.!!!

If you buy this kind of philatelic material you will quit this hobby and this might be one of the reason why stamp collection is in DECLINE.!!

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!!

Thanks

Malta Gandhi Stamps Sheet - Is it worth for collection or investment.!!

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Can't believe it when I noticed Malta Gandhi stamp sheet of 60 stamps was sold under $13 after 40+ years.!!

I don't think Gandhi Stamps or Gandhi Sheets are for investment.!!

Update on 12/15/2011 :

Check out price of recently sold Malta Gandhi FDC and no one willing to buy block of 20 Gandhi Malta stamps even at $4.99!!

Reason for this low value is because there are lot of Forgery and FAKE stamps and philatelic items related to Mahatma Gandhi stamps from India as well as other stamps of India.

It's not only stamps from India but also other countries also. Read following link to understand what's going on.

1) Nicaragua FAKE First Day Cover with Gandhi and Einstein Stamp.
2) Madagascar Forged FDC with Gandhi stamps.
3) Fake cancellation on Panama Gandhi Stamp to make private First Day Cover.
4) Forged 1948 Gandhi First day cover with stamps from India.

So think before you buy. Just don't buy if any philatelic magazine, book or website praise about it to glorify Gandhi philatelic material. It's in your hand.!!

So how can we even trust all the philatelic material with stamps from India. To me it all looks BOGUS to make money from collectors by selling lot of FORGED in 1948 Gandhi Philatelic used covers, register cover and even First Day Cover.

Still want to do research  then please read my other blog post about Gandhi Stamps and you yourself think how Gandhi Stamps are glorified!!

2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps of India: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?

Malta Gandhi Stamp FDC value - Why you will quit Gandhi Philately or Stamps Collections - Part-3

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

This is my part-3 blog post about "Why you will Quit Gandhi Philately"

Currently on ebay  theree is a auction of 2 FDC from Malta. If you buy this item from ebay seller "phil-centre" at 73$ you will defenitely quit this hobby, because you will be paying too much money for commonly available Gandhi FDC from Malta.

Check my previous blog post about Malta Gandhi Stamp Value and you will know what is the real value of Malta Gandhi FDC.

This both FDC you will able to buy it under $5 (for both covers).  So now you need to think from which buyer you need to buy and what price. If you don't make correct decision you will quit this hobby.

I don't know "phil-centre" or never bought any thing from "phil-centre". I am just using my common sense to aware this kind of items available on ebay or delcampe so to stay in the hobby like me by avoiding some commonly available items whose price are inflated.

In future if this item is available in market from other seller then price will be inflated so it stays up.!!!

My goal is to aware all new collectors as well as existing collectors so they don't quit the hobby like one collector quit Gandhi philately because of FAKE items and high price of commonly available items which reduce value of their investment significantly.

Update on 12/15/2011:-
Check out price of recently sold FDC and Malta block of 20 Gandhi stamps unsold for $4.99!!
