India 1900 VIC Postcard - Queen Victoria postcard with China FPO - postal history

Recently I saw India 1900 VIC CEF post card with China FPO sold for $399 by eBay seller "cmcstamps" based in California USA.

After looking this postcard I think it's very to easy make this kind of postal history and make money out of it as who knows what happened in 1901.!!

It's very easy to make RUBBER stamps (you need to make five)  and stamp it on any old postcard available on eBay or at local stamp exhibition.

Let me make sure I am not telling or teaching you how to cheat but this are the possibilities when you buy it so  BEWARE.

Postal history is nothing but Forgery or FAKE.!!


Following is confirmed that seller and buyer completed eBay transaction.

But this item is located in India.!!

So which government will get TAX ?

Seller "cmcstamps" will pay to Income Tax, VAT, Capital Gain Tax to Indian Government 

OR

Seller "cmcstamps" will pay Fedral Tax, California Sales Tax  and Capital Gain TAX to respective agency in USA.

I think based on register location seller has to pay tax in USA. What do you think ?

My personal opinion this is FAKE. It's very hard to prove it as we don't know what happen in 1901.!!

But I can say seller that seller has to pay tax in USA as seller is based in USA. What do you think ?

China stamps philately postcard - China stamps investment.!!

Recently I saw China Tsitsikar 1952 postcard sold for $9800 by eBay seller "payerne" from Switzerland.

Looks like China stamps are for investment.!!

Lot of money for eBay and Paypal from commission and it will be good for eBay shareholders (stock holders) if buyer paid to "Payerne" because all the times buyer don't pay to seller to just increase th price.!!

Disclosure :- I am eBay stock holder.!!

Not sure whether this post card is genuine or forgery ?

I am not expert so don't know whether this is forgery or genuine. Let's consider it genuine.

But what if it is forgery like we see in other philatelic collection.

You just need to make rubber stamp, find any old postcardr, affix stamp on it  and apply on it and you have uprated postcard ready.!!

There were 21 bidders.

Total 45 bids.!!

So what are chances of SHILL bidding in this ?

Glorification is done either by

1) Shill Bidding and increasing price and make others think it's really valuable.!!

2) Not paying to seller after bidding very high so again you think about valuable.

3) Second Chance offer, you will be happy that you got it!!.

4) Forgery material are sold as if Genuine.

5) Bogus (Never exist) material are glorified by exhibiting it.

6) False propaganda or hype or speculation about Gandhi stamps.

Shill Bidding : This is where a seller will place an item up for auction. If they are not happy with the current bid, through another account (a family member, friend or a second account) will place a bid on their own item with the intent to artificially increase its price or desirability This will raise the price or will insure the item doesnt sell for less they want. It's illegal and chances of going to jail or fine is very high if caught.!!

Not Paying to Seller : This is where buyer don't pay to seller by increasing price. This is because of either shill bidding or some collectors just want to raise price so they can increase their value.

Second Chance offer : Seller will give second chance to 2nd bidder (Loser) after winner don't pay, because winner is a shill bid.!!

Forgery material : It's very easy to make a forgery material, just by printing register label, making circular rubber stamp of post office (or stealing or bribing) and applying to old cover after removing stamps from it so you have a receiving cancellation also or that might be forged too.!!

Bogus : Never exist philatelic material such as specimen stamps or special cancellation. Then it's glorified by some friends will exhibit in their handbook or magazine or blog  or stamp exhibition.

False Propaganda : Just write good things in philatelic blogs - website - stamp exhibition - handbook - yearbook - newsletter - stampforum - stampboards or talk good in philatelic seminar or newspaper article about certain stamps and it's return on investment in couple of years.!!

Now you decide what happen in above CHINA Stamps philately postcard ?

Look at all forgery available. Don't you think it's possible.!!

CHINA SPECIMEN OVERPRINT STAMP CARD - GENUINE OR FORGERY ?

"sephil.asia.dubai" eBay seller is selling China SPECIMEN overprint card (postcard) for $1250 without description such as year printed/issued.

So not sure when CHINA SPECIMEN OVERPRINT STAMP CARD was printed.

It's lot of money  for seller as well as for eBay shareholder if it is sold from eBay and PayPal fees.(Disclosure : I own eBay stock)

We had seen lot of SPECIMEN postcard from India as well all around the world which are nothing but forgery or BOGUS.

It's easy to print SPECIMEN on any postcard and call it a RARE postal history with SPECIMEN overprint on it.!!

So what are chances forgery of following SPECIMEN overprinted on China card.? 

(Let me make sure I am not expert so I cannot give certificate of forgery or genuine. It's upto buyer to decide as they have to give money to eBay and seller.)

My goal is to make you think about all possibilities.

Important thing to notice on this SPECIMEN stamp card from China is that 

• SPECIMEN is printed in English.  
• Republic of China Postage is also printed in English.

Now what are chances of this as BOGUS (never exist) or FAKE or Genuine as other printed postcard with SPECIMEN are all in Chinese language.

But not sure whether this is genuine SPECIMEN from China !! It will very very hard to find information from Chinese Communities government as every thing is very secured and it will be very hard to find out authenticity of any philatelic material.

Of course it's unique so it's valued $1250 by eBay seller "sephil.asia.dubai"

Do you think CHINA SPECIMEN OVERPRINT STAMP CARD - GENUINE OR FORGERY like we see in Indian Postcard ?

It's very hard to tell it's genuine or it's very hard to tell it's forgery or BOGUS because no one knows what happen in China communist postal department.

1) There is no ENGLISH alphabet on it.
2) SPECIMEN is also in Chinese language

Even stamps are with Chinese alphabet for SPECIMEN.

ZEPPELIN Airmail Postcard

About 20 Forgery Zeppelin postcards were sold for $50, so it was about $2.50 per zeppelin postcard.

But recently single Zeppelin airmail postcard was sold for $173 by eBay seller "delhaya.david.phila" from Belgium.

Of course $173 is for genuine zeppelin postcard where as $2.50 for forgery zeppelin postcard.

So what are chances of Forgery zeppelin postcard sold as genuine ?

Do you think forgery sold as genuine is possible.? 

My personal opinion is YES. It's possible.

I had seen lot in Gandhi stamp collection which has lot of similarities in all thematic collection. 

Do you think Belgium eBay got commission from this transaction ?  It's lot of money for eBay shareholder.!!

We need to learn from all kinds of thematic collection selling on eBay or Delcampe or other auction house because all stamp sellers (dealers) are using same technique/method/procedure to forged items in order to make money from you by selling some unique or rare philatelic material.!! So BEWARE.

Each India SPECIMEN postcard was issued in 1969 with different theme such as Mahatma Gandhi Spinning Wheel, Mahatma Gandhi Outside his Ashram and Portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.

This SPECIMEN can be applied to other postcards also and you can make money.!!

Also this "SPECIMEN" rubber stamp you can apply on other thematic postcard  from other countries also. Might have to use different ink or might have to make another rubber stamp, but concept is same.
