Jal Cooper and Gandhi stamp collection ?

Recently I saw Gandhi FDC with full set of four 1948 Gandhi stamps was sold for only $350.!!

After reading my blog post you will know why it sold only for $350.!!

You will see only stamps are selling for more price.!!

But on top of that the cover has rubber stamp address of Jal Cooper.!!

Does it mean it was made by Jal Cooper ?

Does it mean it was deliver to Jal Cooper ?

We see lot of FDC with Jal Cooper address.(rubber stamp)

As per Wikipedia he was " an Indian philatelist, and an expert and authenticator of the postage stamps and postal history of India. Cooper was also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the author of several philatelic handbooks. He was both a stamp dealer and a collector."

But after looking more and more Gandhi Philatelic material and Gandhi SERVICE stamps, some time I think he is the brain behind all this.  And now after his death someone got hold of lot of philatelic material from his relatives.!!

Now look at following full set of Gandhi stamp with first date cancellation on FDC. To me it looks like forged.

So who created all this forgery rubber stamps and philatelic material including forgery stamps of Gandhi SERVICE ?

After comparing first date cancellation (rubber stamp) with my blog post "IS GANDHI STAMPS ALL ABOUT FORGERY ? - BIGGEST SCAM IN STAMP COLLECTION " to me it looks nothing but FORGERY rubber stamp of first date cancellation stamp.

Also in past I wrote about Jal Cooper and Gandhi SERVICE stamp. Click to read it.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2014/09/jal-cooper-overprint-stamp-how-he-was.html

Recently I revisited my previous blog post about letter of Jal Cooper (famous philatelist and dealer) selling 1948 Gandhi SERVICE stamp.!!

We know that 1948 Gandhi stamp was 4th stamp issued by India in 1948 in set of four.

But there were very few printed  with overprint SERVICEon it specially for Governor General of India.

(we have read only in philatelic handbooks, magazine, yearbooks, exhibit as we don't know exactly what happen during that time)

Not sure who printed this overprint as I read on some stamp exhibit that even Indian Postal Department were opposed to printing overprint SERVICE on stamps as per philatelic evidence.

You cannot rely on philatelic evidence such as Handbooks or pamplets or philatelic yearbook or stamp exhibit or even catalog because everyone wants money.!!

Chances are that Indian Postal Department might be not aware of this SERVICE overprint stamp.!! (all underground activity, and no one cares.!!)

I don't believe this oveprint SERVICE stamps are real. It's an interesting story and I certainly respect people who believe these are literally true, but I don't. I see no evidence for this SERVICE overprint stamp.

Above 10 Rupees Overprint stamp was sold for $200000.!!

Can't believe it how to turn a piece of paper with overprint in to $200000, What a brilliant idea.

In past I wrote blog post about this India 1948 OVERPRINT Gandhi SERVICE stamps.

Click to read and than decide what's going on with your collection.!!

Overprint stamps - 1948 Gandhi SERVICE stamp selling are BOGUS ?

Governor General was thinking he was KING ?

Most Expensive stamp of India as well as world ?

Governor General was not using GANDHI SERVICE stamp.!!

Why not first stamp of India had OVERPRINT SERVICE on it.?

Most Valuable stamps - R U Kidding.!!

India First Stamp after Independence Flag with SERVICE stamp

My personal opinion is that Governor might even don't know about this OVERPRINT Gandhi SERVICE stamp.!!

But some how Jal Cooper was selling this stamp and making huge money at that time.!!

Not sure how Jal Cooper was selling government property.

Not sure how Jal Cooper got hold of this stamps as per philatelic evidence (which is full of lies/incorrect info) it was very limited quantity printed and NOT FOR SALE TO GENERAL PUBLIC OR POST OFFICE.!!

It was only for Governor General of India usage.!!

Did Jal Cooper have any license to sell ?

OMG!!

THINK THINK!! what happen and you will never want this stamp in your collection!!

As we know (or we have read fantasy story about it) Gandhi SERVICE stamp was printed specially for Governor General of India for administrative purpose.

We all are stamp collector and we always get unique idea to create some rare philatelic cover to make it unique and rare.!!

So this might be someone idea to create unique and rare stamp.!!!

So whose idea was this to create Overprint stamp of Gandhi ?

Did someone overprint it instead of Indian Postal department or Swiss printer Courvoisier who printed this 1948 Gandhi stamps. ?

So how someone  got this stamps ?

Did someone got it from Governor General office?

Did someone stole it from Governor General PO ?

Did someone bribe it ?

Did someone created it (printed) it?

It's up to you to decide.

My personal opinion is that there was no official overprint SERVICE stamp of Gandhi.

It's nothing but fantasy story which is glorified by stamp collectors, Philatelic Handbooks, stamp magazine, blogs, website, auctioneer etc.

Some investor think this as a stamp INVESTMENT !!

I consider a piece of paper.!!

This is how everyone makes money.!!

To me this proves that GANDHI SERVICE Stamp is nothing but BOGUS.!!

Jal cooper was making lot of money in 1949 by just selling SERVICE overprint stamp.

Rupees 15 per copy or block of four for 50 rupees.!!

Look at the profit Jal Cooper got by selling this stamp. 1 1/2 anna ( 10 paise) which is 1/10 of the rupee and got 15 rupees in a year.!!

If this much money was made I will also forged this stamp and start selling in 1949.!!

In 1948 gold price was 95 rupees for 10 gms.!!

Even magazine cutout  & letter was sold for $400 by eBay seller "rohit98103"

Did eBay got it's commission $40 from this sell ? Because in past I saw buyers were not paying to seller  or it was just shill bidding.!!

Did someone created this Forgery of Jal Cooper letter ?

To make fantasy story more interesting there were covers made with stamps.

Following are some of the FORGERY cover or piece of paper made with stamps by applying FORGERY OR BOGUS rubber stamp of Governor General.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/09/king-george-vi-stamp-and-gandhi-service.html

It's a fantasy story about a Gandhi SERVICE stamp and we all think it's REAL like all princess story.!!

SO NOW DO YOU KNOW WHY IT SOLD FOR $350 ONLY.!! ?

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in postal history of cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all of the above will help you to make decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

What do you think about this Topical stamps collection register cover ?

  • Is it FORGERY ?
  • Is eBay shareholders are getting benefit of this kind of sale from getting huge commission ?

Thanks

Congo Gandhi Stamps : Are stamps for Investment or false hope of riches by accumulation.!!

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

Congo was 3rd country to honored Mahatma Gandhi by issuing his stamp in 1967 after India(1948)  and USA(1961).

This shows how much respect Congo gave in 1967 to human rights, non-violence, peace etc by issuing stamp of one of the greatest leader of all time.

But even after 45+ years we still don't have official stamp of Mahatma Gandhi from some G8 nations such as Canada, Japan and  France. Also we don't have stamps from Australia and New Zealand.

Don't know why ? but I think they still talk about all kinds of human rights, non-violence and peace.!!

But if you see current price of this stamps and FDC is unbelievable because to  me it looks hobby is really on decline.

Recently I saw FDC from Congo with Gandhi stamps sold for less than $10.!! It has been 45+ years this FDC was issued and this really makes HOBBY IN DECLINE.!!

Even though there are only 2000 officially issued there are not enough collectors who wants to buy this.!!

After throughly examine this transaction on delcampe to me it looks like there are only 2 buyer/dealer "brownblackcherry" and "0261orthod" which are in this stamp business for long time who are buying it and trying to sell afterwards.

Also "brownblackcherry" bought 5 more First Day Cover with Gandhi Stamps from Congo.!! (check screenshot at end of this blog post). A classic example of how to accumulate philatelic material.!!

So 6 cover with just one collector/dealer.!!

Now do you think you will ever get cheaper Congo Gandhi FDC in auction?

So this means that no new collector really wants to even join this stamp collection hobby. I think reason for this are

1) SHILL Bidding on Gandhi philatelic material is extreme.
2) FAKE and Forgery are available more than Genuine.
3) Highly INFLATED price because of Shill bidding which new buyer regret afterwards.!!
4) New youngster are moving away from this hobby because there are lot of other new hobby and things to do than just collecting piece of paper.!

This is not only in Gandhi thematic collection but I am seeing in all philatelic material selling on auction sites whether it's online or in-house.

What do you think about this Gandhi First Day Cover from Congo issued in 1967.

There is nothing like RARE stamps or philatelic item because eventually it will come in market.!!

Do you still think it's stamps are for Investment.?

Still want to do research  then please read my other blog post about Gandhi Stamps and you yourself think how Gandhi Stamps are glorified!!

1) 1948 Stamps of India are False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps of India: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II

I don't think it's for INVESTMENT because there are lot of great Investment out there.

Thanks
Gandhi Stamps Club

BTW:- In past "brownblackcherry" also bought 3 more First Day Cover with Congo Gandhi Stamps. (Thanks declampe for allowing to see this for long period.)

It's good that this buyer is not using different id to buy it and try to hide his accumulation.!!

1) On 9/20/2012 bought FDC #1457 for $22.
2) On 12/26/2011 bought FDC #1106 for $14
3) On 12/19/2011 bought FDC #???? for $12.
4) On 2006 bought FDC #1843 for $2.!! (yes two dollar.!!)
5) On 2006 bought FDC # 1845for $2!!

India 10 Rupees Mahatma Gandhi Service postage stamp

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

As all of you might know that 10 Rupees 1948 India Gandhi stamp with overprint SERVICE is one of the least printed (reprinted) stamp in the world.

A set of stamps over-printed as "Service" was issued to the Government of India for official purposes. Only 100 Mahatama Gandhi 10 Rs. stamps were overprinted with "Service" and issued for the use of C. Rajagopalachari, the Governor General of India, making it the world's least printed stamp.[ Of the hundred stamps that were overprinted with "Service", a few were gifted to dignitaries (Do anyone know who were this dignitaries), while most remain at the National Archives, Postal Museums, etc.

Also it is one (between 10-20) of the most expensive stamp in the world.!! So what when price of philatelic material goes up everyone wants to get rich.!!!So there was a forgery of this stamp too.!!
This forgeries are available for more than 10+ years and known as  "Marvelous Maryland" because it was printed in Maryland, USA.  It is categorized as "The ORIGINAL Maryland Forgery"!!!

Original in Forgery.!! (Not knew that there is original also in forgery too.!!)

Following is the forgery of that stamp which is known as Maryland Forgery. But I was surprised when this was sold for $455 with 51 bids on it.!!! Do you think forgery happen in this transaction also.?!!

Seller is in Australia and item shipped from international location.!!! (Are they business seller or helping someone or multiple account and multiple international location.!!)

Do you actual think this is genuine transaction with commission paid to ebay and also to paypal.?!!

You can see this at ebay for next 2 months by clicking following URL.

You can figure out from my past blog post who the buyer is.!!  (hint : [(d***i)(189)])  I don't think this is actual purchase as I don't see any feedback on ebay.!!

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p4340.l2565&rt=nc&item=200747019544

If you cannot find buyer then my advice is please quit Gandhi Philately as it will be very hard for you to survive in this Forgery Gandhi Philately World.!!

I am not sure why this much price as this forgery stamp (even with side) is available for less than $10.!! on delcampe and ebay.  Following is the screenshot.

So I am not sure why buyers wants to pay $450!!

To me only difference is seller. One has less than 300 feedback from Australia were as other has more that 3300 feedback from Germany.!!

Read my previous blog post about Gandhi SERVICE stamp: Is it Real or FAKE ?

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/04/gandhi-service-stamp-how-one-can-tell.html

So now you need to decide what's happening in 1948 Gandhi Stamps.!!

This kind of things are happening in almost each and every 1948 high value 1948 India Gandhi FDC/Used Covers.!! So take care. You are on your own.!!

Again thanks for reading and  please share your thoughts in the comments section or you can email me at ketankumar@gmail.com.

Thanks

BTW:- Even blog of 4 is available (from Germany) on delcampe for $80!!

1948 Gandhi Stamps Mourning Souvenir Private FDC : Are false hope of RICHES? - Part - III

Hello Gandhi Stamps Collectors,

In January 2012, I wrote blog post about 1948 Gandhi Mourning FDC which was selling for $4000-$5000.!! even though it was FAKE. Please read my other blog post (O.M.G) to understand what happen by clicking following link.

Recently it was again in market which sold for 3 times in 3 months. I am not sure it's same FDC or different but price range vary from $1200 - $260.!! Not sure what buyer who bought $260 will be thinking.!!(Do you think buyer paid $260 to seller!! and have this FDC?)

"Are Gandhi Stamps FALSE hope of Riches?"

To understand above quote please read my previous blog post on this series.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) Current one!!

To me it looks all 3 sold cover/fdc is same item(resold again and again!!) as you can see 10 Rupees stamp has same double cancellation, which also make it same cover/fdc which was shown in previous my blog post. Only thing is changed is SELLER.!!

Of course it's our Gandhi Philately so except such to THINGS HAPPENS all the time and everytime!!

Even I got 2nd offer for this FDC !!

To me this cover is FAKE which has following issue.
1) FAKE 1948 Special Cancellation from India. (Rubber Stamp)
2) 10 Rupees Gandhi stamp is used twice.!!

To me it looks like all 1948 Gandhi private FDC (including Nepal Indian Embassy Cancellation, without any cachet or register gandhi cover or used 1948  FDC on plain cover or from Simla, Pondicherry, Porbandar etc) needs to be verified twice  because rubber stamps are easy to make so all kinds of things are possible in Gandhi Stamps and Philately World.!!

Most of us don't know what happens in 1948 and after that.!! It's like collecting in blind thinking it's UNIQUE/GENUINE/ONE OF A KIND.!!

Keep in mind that there are FAKE/Forgery special cancellation out there so AVOID 1948 Gandhi FDC or Private FDC if possible.

It's all inflated price!! by changing seller id with low feedback.!!

Above screenshot indicates it was also sold for $260!! Need to know who bought it then please looks around my other blog post (screen shot) and you will know it. (Let me know if you find it.!!)

In November 2011 this cover was sold for almost $1800 (but reserve was not met!!) on ebay India.!!

In May it was sold for $610.!! to "santuvantu"

This kind of things are happening in almost each and every 1948 high value 1948 India Gandhi FDC/Used Covers.!! So take care. You are on your own.!!

Thanks

1948 Gandhi Stamps : Are false hope of RICHES? - Part - II

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

All of you are aware of  amazing things happening  in Gandhi Stamps and Philately world with lot of FAKE, Forgery, Shill bidding, etc this is one more example of it.

You can read my previous blog post   "1948 Gandhi Stamps are false hope of RICHES?" about following FDC which will give you more understanding about this blog.

Last month I bought a very expensive ($2000) register 1948 India Gandhi FDC from delcampe  to do some research as same  register FDC was sold 2 days ago on ebay for $6350.

I asked some question to seller and wrote blog post about this FDC, and before I even think about paying this seller closed the store on delcampe.!!

This FDC has same Register Label # which was sold on ebay auction today.

Don't you think Register label should be different # ? so is it FAKE or it's ERROR or it's a way of selling in Gandhi Philatelic as well as other pre-independence British India Philatelic material.!!

This register FDC has every thing similar including stamps, address, register label # and CDS has same date and same place on FDC!!. Only difference is seller's country. One is from France(delcampe) and other is from Australia(ebay).

Also on delcampe it was at Fixed price where as on ebay it was on auction which were active at same time.!!

I bought it from declampe and ebay FDC was bought by "hitlerandgandhi" for $6350.

Following is my purchase for $2050 (in Fixed Price Auction) from seller in France who is member of delcampe since April 13, 2012 (only 1 day ago!!) and 22 feedback!!!

http://stamps.delcampe.net/page/item/id,0169320254,language,E.html

Following is purchased by "hitlerandgandhi" for $6350 (3 times of my value.!! in auction)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&hash=item4602a1c9e2&item=300691868130&nma=true&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_
0&rt=nc&si=J65hCkwjMxKV0RDUUrxakpauuwQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_500wt_1413

Now let's see who are top 3 bidders who bidded 44 bids.

Following finding are not at all illegal activity. All this information is available to public by just putting extra effort without illegally entering ebay servers or snooping ebay networks. Anyone can get this information (It is like looking things in public and using smartness what's going on.!!). There is no privacy invasion as it easily available by advance ebay search.!! without using spycam or password hacking or entering anyone personal computer.!!!

1) hitlerandgandhi  (d***i (188))
2) drpokiri (i***1 (327))
3) boba_boba_boba (o***b (35))

Click above 3 links and see what is going on and try to figure out what it is and why it is and understand carefully about pricing, bidding etc.

I am not sure whether ebay transaction is a Genuine or something else.  Do you think it is really bought and sold.?

I don't think this FDC should be more than $100 or 200 or 300.!! So what do you think about this FDC pricing and transaction.?

Also there are lot of cheating such as Forgery stamps, Shill bidding, BOGUS philatelic material  involved in stamps collection.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.

8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM
11) SCANDAL in stamp collection
12) How to increase stamp collection value

Now does it make sense to collect stamps ?

But now you know my 15 steps to make money on internet.!! and following four blog post will make you expert in making money.!!

Gandhi Stamps Huge quantity of Somalia Gandhi FDC. Do you think Gandhi stamps and Philatelic material is RARE.!!

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

In my previous blog I had mentioned about huge quantity of Gandhi stamps and philatelic material is available on ebay, so this kind of blog post will help future new Gandhi collector.

I am trying to aware new collectors about kind of activity happened in past and depending on that they can prepare themselves when buying Gandhi FDC and not pay too much thinking it's  RARE and they don't get cheated by paying high price for philatelic material. (It happened to me.!!)

In last 15 days there were Sixty (60) Somalia 1969 Gandhi FDC with 3 stamps were sold.!!! It's amazing that after 42 years we can see this many FDC available in big lots.!!

All this FDC will be sold in future, but it's upto us what kind of price they need to pay.

This FDC's were sold by "city-collectables" from poland.!! Following is the screen shot and all of the bought by "www_stampsfromindia_com"

India Stamps - 1948 India Gandhi Stamps are false hope of RICHES?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

You will be seeing that some of the Gandhi 1948 FDC and Used cover are selling at unbelievable price which makes  me curious to dig more into this and trying to aware all collectors.

FDC was sold for $6350

Do you Really think this is a Genuine price?

Forget price, do you think this is Genuine special cancellation?

I don't think it's a genuine special cancellation, but it forgery.!!!

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p4340.l2565&rt=nc&item=300691868130

Please look at the following screenshot of expensive Gandhi Philatelic material sold  and you will think, Is Gandhi Stamps are for only RICH people or Is this a real transaction or a way to inflate the price so you will buy same or similar philatelic material it at half price or less thinking you got a great discount.!!

Collectors (Buyer) stay in this hobby if you have following kind of buying power  like ebay buyer "hitlerandgandhi", "blue_guy_1234", "philapragya24" , "echobangla" etc otherwise run away from this hobby and Think Different hobby(it's a game).!!!

Do you really think eBay got commission from this transaction ?

It will be about $2500.!!

Or eBay is also CHEATED by seller not paying commission ?

Click above image to see enlarge copy of it so you can see details.

What do you think about this all expensive Gandhi Philatelic material purchase.?

Collectors (Seller) stay in this hobby only if you have above kind of philatelic material such as from drpokiri(aka stampsniper), akhtarkk, barrydavid2005 etc.

If you don't have this then learn how to sell it at high price and stay in this hobby(it's a game).!!

Study all buyers and sellers activity and then you can play this game of hobby too.!!

Ebay buyer "hitlerandgandhi" from India bought more than 25000 US Dollars worth of Philatelic material mostly Gandhi in last 30 days.!!

Also in August 2011 he bought some expensive 1948 FDC. Click following link to see what he purchased.

I am not sure who is "hitlerandgandhi" but to me he looks like a very rich person!! who is spending this kind of  offical white money openly in public auction market without any fear of goverment because all this transactions are recorded on ebay and paypal and they keeps this kind of information for 7-15 years or more depending on finiancial transaction for any future inquiry.

Do you think "hitlerandgandhi" is really paying for this item?

After looking all the above sold Gandhi Philatelic material,  Do you think 1948 India Gandhi Stamps are false hope of RICHES? I think so.!!

Again thanks for reading and  please share your thoughts in the comments section.

Also there are lot of cheating such as Forgery stamps, Shill bidding, BOGUS philatelic material  involved in stamps collection.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

St. Vincent Gandhi Stamp FDC - Is this Genuine Gandhi FDC?

Recently on eBay India I saw St. Vincent FDC  with 1998, 2000 and 2005 Gandhi stamps and I was surprised. Nothing change in 7 years.!! i.e. Simple Cover and Simple First day Cancellation.!!

FDC should have unique cachet printed on Cover and unique special cancellation related to theme of stamps, which keeps collector interested in collecting. If it is this kind of simple FDC then it's very hard to trust about this cover and collector will start questioning this kind of FDC.

Do you think following are Official First Day Cover ?

Now think what are the possibilities!! and also think whether this is really Official FDC from St. Vincent Postal Service.!! Bring it On!!

It's easy to make(DIY) this kind of FDC at cheaper rate because just print one cover (with Official FDC) and rubber stamp and start stamping on Gandhi stamp as well as different kind of stamps.!!! and FDC is ready for sale.!! Who cares about different cachet even though they are issued 7 years apart.!!

To me this FDC looks questionable and needs more research.!!

What do you think?

In future we all might see FDC from other smaller countries and this is how dealers and reseller (converted from collectors.!!) makes money.!!

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.

Update:-

Following are some FDC from St. Vincent which has different cachet printing on cover depending on the person's work. Also it has special cancellation with theme of stamps. If you notice cancellation it is also very clear.!!

Above cover has different cachet on cover and different type of cancellation.

Even though all of the above FDC was issued on same date but it has different cachet, where as our St. Vincent Gandhi stamps has one cachet for all 3 stamps which were issued in different years.!!!!!!
