Stamp collection price - Stamp as Investment ?

We all know stamp collection price is declining in real world except by some rare collectors who still believe that stamp collection is going  up in India and China.

According to me it's nothing but false glorification of stamp collection price by increasing price by SHILL bidding and not paying to seller by increasing price.

Now look at the following screenshot and you will be surprised about Stamp collection price by selling price and number of bidders bidding on this stamps or first day cover.

Gibraltar 1998 First Day cover of  Stamps of Wisdom of Gandhi, Churchill, Einstein and Shakespeare. After 15 years it's not even selling at face value of 1998.!!! And only one bidder was interested in this 4 stamps.!!!

This proves that stamp collection is declining and also it's not for investment.

Don't you think it's a JOKE stamps as investment.!!

Now look at following screen shot of India 1969 FDC with 4 Gandhi stamps who in world is glorified as one of the most famous stamp for collection, but when you see the price it don't even sell for more than original price if you count dollar value in 1969.!!

Again a  it's a JOKE stamps as investment.!!

Following is one more example Stamp collection price of 1969 Guyana first day cover with  2 Ghandhi stamp.!! It was sold for $2.!!

Don't you think it's a JOKE stamps as investment.!!

Read some of interesting blog post to see what's going in Gandhi stamps collection and think in your other collectibles items as well.!!

After reading all of the above blog post it's now up to you to decide about what is Stamp collection price  and what do you think Stamp as Investment ?

Einstein - Shakespeare - Churchill stamps : Do you think it's worth to even collect stamps.!!

Gibraltar issued  Einstein stamp, Shakespeare stamp, Churchill stamp and Gandhi stamp in 1998 as WORDS OF WISDOM / STAMPS OF WISDOM.

Even though this is one of the world most famous people stamps there is only one bid for this stamps and it only sold for $11 even though it's stamps of Einstein - Shakespeare - Churchill  and Gandhi stamps.

In past just Gandhi sheet was sold for $22.!!!

What a decline in stamp collection value for buyer, and what a relief for seller "bobby92".

I also saw just only Gandhi stamp sheet selling for $30.!! What a ripoff if you buy it. So make sure what price you are buying it.!!

So after looking above screen shot what you think.

Does it make sense to collect stamps in this modern technology world were there are lot of things to do such as playing video games, facebook, snapchat, watching tv etc.!!

So what your's WORDS OF WISDOM ?

Thanks

STAMPS COLLECTING COMEBACK ?

I read lot of article about Stamps collecting comeback.!!

But after looking selling price of 44+ years old philatelic material of Mahatma Gandhi stamps, it don't look like stamps collection is coming back.!!

To me it looks like it's going  downward (to drain).!! and I can prove it by following images which will explain you that it did not appreciate at all even after all inflation in 40+ years.

It's a DEAD hobby and I am part of it.!!

To me it's nothing but glorification of Gandhi stamps or any other stamps by certain group of people/collector/dealers, investment companies, auction house are trying to maximize their profit are spreading incorrect message/news to new collectors.!!!

You need to decide after looking following screenshot of recently sold (in past 2 weeks of October 2013), Gandhi First Day Cover and decide what's going on in stamp collecting world as you will be spending  your money.!!

Mauritius 1969 Gandhi stamps FDC with 6 stamps was sold on for $2.!!

Not sure what seller will get after deducting eBay and PayPal fees.!! Also 6 stamps might have cost more in 1969 than $1.50 if you count dollar price in 1969.!!

Somalia 1969 Gandhi stamps FDC with 3 Gandhi stamps was sold for $4.

So don't come up on false propaganda that stamps collecting comeback or stamps as alternate investment.!!

Gibraltar 1998 FDC with Gandhi stamps along with other three world famous people was sold only for $4.

Mauritius Gandhi stamps sheet of 6 different stamps along with history of his life, believe and Indian culture was sold only for $1.50 even after 44+ years.!!

Only way to increase price is by

1) Shill Bidding.
2) Selling from different countries by opening account on eBay.!! This covers are selling from South Africa, India and Oregon, USA.!!
2) Buyer don't pay to seller by increasing price. Read following link to see other cheating activity.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/08/postal-history-cheating-in-indian-stamp.html

Also forgery philatelic material

1) Forged rubber stamp ( e.g Governor General cancellation used on Gandhi SERVICE stamp)
2) Forged stamp on philatelic material with forged rubber stamp (
3) Bogus special cancellation (Germany 2009 cancellation from Winnenden, Germany)
4) Forged stamps (facsimile, replica) used on philatelic material.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in postal history of cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 India Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 India Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?

Churchill stamps - Einstein Stamps - WHAT ARE MY STAMPS WORTH ?

Hello stamps collectors,

Everyone is curious what's their worth is, but it's more when people are collecting because they put lot of time and effort to collect them as hobby.

But recently worth of all hobbies such as stamps, coins, cards is going down or even some of them are worthless to invest.

You will be shocked when you see pricing trends of stamp collection. Recently Churchill stamps, Einstein stamps, Shakespeare stamps and Gandhi stamps on First Day cover from Gibraltar issued in 1998  was sold under $4.

Now if you see following images you will surprised that there are not even that much enthusiasm in buying 1998 Gibraltar first day cover with four world famous people Mahatma Gandhi stamps, Churchill stamp, Einstein stamp and Shakespeare stamp  on that Word of Wisdom cover.

I think reason for this very low stamp value is because

1) There are lot of other things to do in this modern technology world than to collect stamps.
2) There are lot of forgeries in stamp collection
3) Shill bidding is way to increase price and fool new collector.

Now you need to decide what to do if you are new collector. Whether to start collecting Einstein stamps or Churchill stamps and get regret about collecting or if you are existing collector than forget about "what are my stamps worth" and just don't think about it, because it's worthless.!!

You will not able to justify your time in selling this stamps because it's not worth your time.!!

Thanks
Gandhi Stamps Club.

Gibraltar FDC : Europa Writing Letters Series stamps, Famous People stamps, Mahatma Gandhi stamps, Kennedy stamps, Churchill stamps

Hello Philatelist,

Recently I saw Gibraltar 2008 FDC with Mahatma Gandhi stamps, Kennedy Stamp, Churchill stamp and William Shakespeare stamps which was selling for $32.!!!

I think it's completely ripoff price as it don't justify such a high premium.!!

The Europa 2008 theme of ‘Writing letters’ inspired us to feature historical figures and how significant their letters were... BUT NOT ANY MORE.!!

So beware what you are collecting.!!! Stamp hobby is not any more king of Hobby.!!

This FDC is available only for $4 from Gibralatar.!! even after 15 years.!! Click following link to see.!!

https://gibraltar-stamps.com/index.php?controller=country&action=stampProduct&id=139&cur=GBP

Don't you think if you buy $32 then you will regret whole your life becuase it's not value that much but it's artificially inflated.!!!

Stamp collection is decline world wide so I think it will be harder in future to even sustain this value.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

Now does it make sense to collect stamps ?

But now you know my 15 steps to make money on internet.!! and following four blog post will make you expert in making money.!!

Einstein stamps Churchill stamps : Stamp collection in decline.!!

Hello stamp collectors,

As we all know that stamp price is declining more than ever because there is no interest in collecting stamps by new generation as there is lot of other things to do such as video games, facebook, online games etc.

In past I wrote about this "A Hobby in Decline". Please read so you get some idea what's going on.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/08/a-hobby-in-decline.html

Also more and more collectors are burned by all kinds of Forgery, BOGUS and Shill bidding so they are also not interested to collect or trying to get rid of their collection by even involving in to some illegal practice such as shill bidding.!!!

Following is the one example in which 4 sheets of world famous people like Mahatma Gandhi stamp, Winston Churchill stamp, Albert Einstein stamp and Shakespeare stamps.

This 4 sheets were sold for $9.!! Yes $9 after 15 years.!!

Original price of this sheet were 7.68 UK pound in 1998, which was $12.60 ( 1 dollar = 1.64 pounds).

So after 15 years it's selling under original face value by 30%.!!

So what about all this catalog values.!! Does it makes sense to even look at the price mentioned in that.!!

To me it's selling 400% less than SCV  ($33).!!

Churchill stamps   "The price of greatness is responsibility"

Shakespeare stamps "Love comforts like sunshine after rain"

Einstein stamps  "Imagination is more important than knowledge"

Gandhi "Hate the sin, love the sinner".

There were only 2 bidders for this stamps.!! even though stamps were in auction which indicates that there is no interest at all.!!

But you might see some seller selling this stamps for enormous price.!!

Following is one of the example were seller "kamalmedicine" is trying to sell just one set of stamps for $16.50.!!! which will be $100 for just 6 stamp set and that's not even in a sheet.!!

Now it's up to you to decide whether you want to start collecting stamps if you are new collector or whether you are like me then you need to decide whether I should continue or quit ?

Thanks
Gandhi Stamps Club.

Gibraltar stamps : Are stamps worthless ? Einstein stamp , Churchill stamp, Shakespeare stamps

Hello Gandhi Stamps Collectors,

In 1998 Gibraltar issued Shakespeare stamp, Churchill stamp, Einstein stamp and Mahatma Gandhi stamps with their famous quotes.

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

Look at the following screenshot and you will know what is the current value of stamps.!!! It sold for $1.55, which is under face value.!!!

I don't understand what all this propaganda about Investment in stamp about.!! I think it's nothing but big lies.!!

Than you might be thinking why some times it's this sells for $10-15.!!

It's nothing but shill bidding and false glorification.!!

In 2011 this 4 stamps were sold for $2.50, but this is new low.!! Want to know more about what happen in that Gibraltar stamps then click following link.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/01/gibraltar-1998-gandhi-einstein.html

Now think as investment made in stamps in 1998 and what is the appreciation.!! 26+26+38+38=1.28 pound.!! It selling for 1 UK pound.!!

Don't you think it's not worth to collect stamps as Investment.!!!

Read some of interesting blog post to see how CHEATERS are working to get your money by selling forgery or Bogus gandhi stamps.!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.

Gibraltar 1998 Gandhi, Einstein, Churchill, Shakespeare, Words of Wisdom Stamps. Why you will quit stamp collection or philately - Part 18

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Gibraltar  is a British overseas territory located on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula at the entrance of the Mediterranean. A peninsula with an area of 6.843 square kilometres (2.642 sq mi), it has a northern border with Andalusia, Spain. It is 3rd Smallest country in world after Vatican City and Monaco and it is 220th country by population.!!

The Rock of Gibraltar is the major landmark of the region. At its foot is the densely populated city area, home to almost 30,000 Gibraltarians and other nationalities which is 5th densely populated country in world.!!

Gibraltar honored Mahatma Gandhi in 1998 by issuing his stamp along with Einstein, Churchill and Shakespeare.

Set of 4 stamps offering words of wisdom and inspiration. Churchill states "the price of greatness is responsibility", Shakespeare offers "love comforts like sunshine after rain", Einstein concludes "imagination is more important than knowledge" and Gandhi propheses "hate the sin, love the sinner".

On December 14, 2011 this 4 stamps were sold under $2.50.!! from Belgium verified delcampe seller "sensiebokye" member since 7+years and with 34000+ feedback.!!!!

This stamps are available online at gibraltar stamps website for 3.50 UK pounds(shipping included) but value of stamps is declining at very rapid pace so this was sold for 2 Euro, which means that 75% decline in price.!!

You can see following screenshot for value of this stamps.!! Click following link to see or purchase if you want it.

http://www.gibraltar-stamps.com/index.php?controller=stamps&action=issue&id=124

Recently I saw this stamps  for sale at $16.50.!! + $3 Shipping!! Check following screenshot.

Do you think this selling price is justified.!! Delcampe unverified seller of this stamps is "Kamalmedicine" from India is member since last 2 years with 0 (zero) feedback!!

Now compare this auction with all above points and you will figure out which type of seller you should trust more when dealing Gandhi stamps.!!

Now if you don't research about pricing and seller and buy this at high price then you will regret buying it and QUIT Philately.

So please do research before you buy anything.  In following screen shot you can check what was the selling price Gibraltar 1998 stamps, FDC and Sheets.

Do you think Gandhi stamps value will ever appreciate going onwards.?

Do you think even Gandhi stamp collection hobby is declining like other thematic stamp collection.?

If you pay high price for any Gandhi Stamps then chances are you will quit Gandhi Philately.!!!

If you like this post and want to know more about pricing on Gandhi stamps then you will like my other following blog posts.

After looking to this value to me it looks like no one wants to collect stamps in this modern world, because there are lot of others things to do, such as play video games on ipad, xbox, gamecube or on internet surf on web or facebook or lot of other outdoor activity such a hiking, skating, running etc or watch different shows on TV or sports games such as Cricket or Football or Basketball or just talking on smartphone or chating.!!

After all this kind of things you don't get any more extra time to pursue your hobby of stamp collection were not that many people are involved and you feel like retard when you talk to friends.!!

Also there are lot of cheating such as Forgery stamps, Shill bidding, BOGUS philatelic material  involved in stamps collection.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.

Mahatma Gandhi Stamp - Is it for Investment ?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Want to know value of Mahatma Gandhi stamp then check out following screenshot. Also you can see it's not  in great demand as barely there are 1 or 2 bids and some of them were not even sold.!!

So it looks like Gandhi Stamps are not for INVESTMENT because after 40 years price of stamps is not increased at all or there is no buyer of this stamps!! So again if you are thinking for Investment in Gandhi Stamps then this is not a place to be.

Upper Volta - $0.99
Hungary - Magyar Posta - $0.99 (UNSOLD)
Germany - $0.99 (UNSOLD)
Cyprus (Se-Tenant) - $0.99 (UNSOLD)
Chile - $0.99
Brazil - $0.99

I hope this will help to new Mahatma Gandhi collectors what price they need to pay for Gandhi Stamps. I think you can get still cheaper as ebay.com  (US site) don't allow to list below $0.99.

As I mentioned before that you can find stamps easily within 1-2$.  There is enough for everyone so don't  need to rush to add in your collection  within 2-3 months of starting this.  People will try to increase price of some stamps so don't get in to that as they are not super rich to get it all and even if they get it let it keep it with them for this kind of stamps from Cameroun, Yemen, Somalia, Syria and all Gandhi overprints stamps.

Also don't try to buy it in a lot to save shipping. That is one of the reason you will get cheated.!!

Can't Believe this price.!! Also Can't believe that out of 4 stamps UNSOLD 3 were issued in 1969. Also in my previous blog post about  Unbelivable price of Germany Gandhi stamp was sold for $7.50.!!!  So not sure what going on in Gandhi Philately world.!!!

In short I think Mahatma Gandhi stamp is not for Investment.

Click following link to read more about above FAKE FDC with Gandhi Stamps.!!

 http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/08/nicaragua-stamps-gandhi-stamp-einstein.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2011/07/fake-fdc-made-from-nicaragua-1979-1980.html

Now after looking all of the above what do you think about similarity about First Aerial Mail.?

Don't you think this is FAKE cover because it has insufficient postage?

Following blog post will explain you that indeed that Indian Stamps and Philately (British India and 1948 Gandhi Stamps) needs to be examined before you even think about buying it.

Forgery in Indian Philately as well as 1854 Queen Victoria stamps.
Beware of First Aerial Mail.
King Edward stamp and Gandhi Stamps.!!
Gandhi Stamps and Independence of India. (shameless act !!)
A Hobby in Decline.!!

So don't you think similarity between seller ("buyitnowitem", "ph4uv" and "drpokiri") of Gandhi Philatelic material and other philatelic material such as First Aerial Post, British India Stamps,  Queen Victoria and King George Stamps.

Again thanks for reading and  Please share your thoughts in the comments section.

Thanks

Ketankumar Patel.
