Error stamps Freaks stamps Oddities stamps

Recently I saw four error stamps of Gandhi ( two used and two mint error stamps) from Hungary sold for $1025.

This can be Error stamps or  Freaks stamps  or Oddities stamps also because it is one of a kind if genuine.!!

Do you really think this is ERROR stamp or Oddities stamps?

Of course it look like Error stamp or Freak stamp, but can you believe it.?

Do you really think this Error stamps or Freaks stamps or Oddities stamps was sold by postal administration as it is registered cover ?

But we know how this kind of Error stamps or Freaks stamps or Oddities stamps are made and sold.

1) Either it is stolen waste from printing press instead of shredding or burning or archiving by or from government.
2) Either it is photo copy of existing stolen waste and  available in large quantity.
3) Modified existing stamp or from picture from philatelic book modified using Photoshop and claiming as error stamp.

This are imperf stamp which has missing black color, so you don't see detail like country name and other details on the stamp.

But still it was not notice by postal administration and they applied rubber stamp on it.!! They need to make sure which country it belong too even though it is look alike.!!

Do you really think this is genuine used ?

Click following link to read my other blog post related to this kinds of Error stamps Freaks stamps Oddities stamps.

Hungary stamps : Is this really error stamp used on cover ?

Imperf Stamps - Imperforated stamps

So what do you think abou this Error stamps or Freaks stamps or Oddities stamps ?

It's up to you to decide as Expertising companies don't take any liability of their own opinion so it's better to THINK yourself whether it make sense or not.

Thanks

Hungary stamps : Is this really error stamp used on cover ?

 Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

Recently I saw one of kind cover with Gandhi stamp.  One stamp on this cover is ERROR stamp.

Not sure whether it can be consider as error stamp or picked from TRASH.!! before color combination was finalized or it's a deliberate act to create error in stamp by taking it before it's printed!! as  there is something like quality control which don't miss this kind of big thing.!!

Even though it is one of kind cover, it was only sold for $500.!! with only one bidder interested in it, unlike 1948 Gandhi used covers from India were there are 20-30 bids and which sells from $1000-3000.!! even though 1948 used covers are not one of a kind as it is available in very large quantity. (All forgeries.!!)

Not sure why only one bidder is interested in this kind of rare cover of Gandhi.

Is Gandhi stamp collection is also declining like other thematic collection or something else what other collectors are thinking same thing like each other.!!

If it is genuine cover then this will be one of the rarest used cover with Gandhi stamps because other covers with 1948 Gandhi stamp from India or 1971 Panama Gandhi stamp are available in plenty and are selling for unbelievable price.!!  Whether they are selling for high price with different tricks such as Shill bidding, Not paying to seller etc.

So to me this cover was sold for very less price. Not sure what worldwide Gandhi philatelist were thinking about this cover.!!

But I am thinking following about this cover.

1) Is this Genuine cover with proper registration 1974 postage rates affixed on cover?
2) Postal clerk did not see other stamp which has no country name on it before applying rubber stamp?
3) What was registration postage in 1974.?
4) Was this imperf error stamp was sold from post office ? (like inverted Jenny stamp)
5) Was this stamp illegally grab from printing press ?
6) Do you think this cover has Forged rubber stamp? (like Governor General of India or Panama FDC or 2009 Germany Cancellation from Winnenden or 1948 Gandhi "Jai Hind" special cancellation, etc)

Let me make sure  that I am not proclaiming that this is forgery cover but also I am not sure whether this cover is Genuine, as I don't consider myself as expert in Gandhi Philatelic because it's very hard to find out all past information and there was very less communication as world was very small and isolated (pre Internet age.!!).

If there was no Internet I was not able to find out about 2009 BOGUS special cancellation from Winnenden Germany issued to celebrate non violence for school massacre.

Even if there is any information it's very hard to believe it from philatelic handbooks, old magazine etc because they might have got false information at that time or some of them might got BOGUS special cancellation which never exist such as 1969 cancellation from Burma, Fiji, Luxembourg etc. Also chances are they might have false information about certain first day covers as well.

In past I had seen one more cover with imperf Hungary stamps of Gandhi. This was not register cover, but it has same value of stamps as above cover even though this was mailed in 1970 where are other was mailed in 1974 as register mail.

In past this imperf stamp without black color was sold for $1246 for block of 4. That means each stamp was sold for $312.

Read some of interesting blog post to see how CHEATERS are working to get your money by selling forgery or Bogus gandhi stamps.!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.
7) First AirMail Post
8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM
11) SCANDAL in stamp collection
12) How to increase stamp collection value

But currently seller  "east-europe-philatelics" from Hungary is selling just single stamps for $3333, but ships this stamps from USA.!!

This stamp is on market for more than 2-3 years and there are no buyers for this.!!

Do you think this stamp is worth $3333.!!!

I think there are plenty of this stamps available, if you know how printing was done in 1969. They used to print 4 sheets of stamps in one big sheet. So if this stamp sheet was 60 stamps than there will be 240 stamps.!!

God knows how many sheets were printed like this or taken from printing garbage instead of destroying it.!!

My guess is there might be more than one sheet like we see in Gandhi SPECIMEN stamp with no country name.!!

Also don't you think FORGERY of this stamp is possible ?

I think so.!! Because we saw lot of forgery Gandhi stamps so it's not a big deal to print one.!! Also don't have to worry about perforation.!!

Thanks

Hungary Gandhi Centenary Stamps and F.D.C - Don't see pricing of Gandhi Philatelic material as Genuine

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

This is my 100th blog in my new blog Gandhi Stamps Club from start of the 2012.!!!

But before you read my 100th blog post I will like to share one of the famous Gandhi quotes I read on google plus account  of Gandhi.

"In a Gentle way, You can shake the world"

Don't you think this is also possible in Philatelic world.!!

I think it's possible by bringing more awareness among collectors and try to prevent them in Stamps SCAM  such as

1) forgeries
2) shill bidding
3) replicas are selling as genuine
3) reusing of expert certification from BPA and RPSL etc.

Also we should not afraid to speak truth like  about cheating or any inappropriate transaction going on philatelic so collectors will be have more interest instead of loosing it.

Now it's coincidence that I also wrote about "sanu108" in my 100th blog in my old blog.!! in which I explained about seller selling Gandhi Stamps and Gandhi Philatelic material with 3 different eBay id.!!

Recently I was surprised when I saw Hungary 1969 Gandhi Centenary F.D.C selling for $16. I don't think new collector should pay this much for Gandhi stamps because this Hungary Magyar Posta Gandhi stamps are available in plenty.

According me this Hungary Gandhi stamps should not be more than 20-30 cents and Magyar Posta Gandhi F.D.C should not be more then $1.

After looking following price of $16 from "sanu108"  either new collector will buy it at that price thinking it's 1969 F.D.C or will buy it when they see it cheaper than $16. But they actually don't know what's the real price unless there is some legit way to find out.

To see what this Gandhi F.D.C sold in past click this link.

It's selling between $00.60 - $3. Yes for 60 cents only.!! (Thanks Delcampe for allowing this transaction.!!)

It's nothing wrong that seller is selling for $16.!! It's his/her choice how much he wants for his item.!!

But as buyer we need to make sure what's going in market.!!
1) from whom your are buying (type of seller).
2) buyer needs to think whether it makes sense to pay for this PIECE OF PAPER.
3) buyer needs to make sure that he is not seeing higher price what is sold in past because it is all BOGUS by shill bidding or by non paying buyer.

Don't think Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic material as Investment otherwise you will regret it.

Also price are going up because of following reason.

1) SHILL Bidding on Gandhi philatelic material is extreme.
2) FAKE and Forgery of Gandhi stamps and Philately material are available more than Genuine.
3) Highly INFLATED price because of Shill bidding.

This is not only in Gandhi thematic collection but I am seeing in all philatelic material selling on auction sites whether it's online or in-house.

So beware what you are buying, whom you are buying, why you are buying etc.!!

Thanks

Gandhi FDC from Kazakstan, Hungary, Malta, Cyprus, South Africa

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Look at following screen shot and you will notice outrageous price of Gandhi FDC from Kazakstan, Hungary, Malta, Cyprus and South Africa.!!

Don't you consider this as a scam in Gandhi Philately trying  to get money from new stamp collectors.!!

My research indicates that this FDC's should not be more than a 1-3$ each and some  may be less.!!

All FDC's are widely available some times under $1 and I am not sure why this seller is starting is auction at $55 - $75.!!!

If you buy this kind of philatelic material you will quit this hobby and this might be one of the reason why stamp collection is in DECLINE.!!

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!!

Thanks

Hungary Gandhi Stamps : Magyar Posta Gandhi Stamps (Magyar Post) - Magyar Posta Maximum (Max or Maxi) Card with Gandhi Stamps

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

In 1969 Hungary issued Mahatma Gandhi Stamps. This stamps and FDC are very widely available at very very low price. Stamp is available for under 25 cents and FDC are selling for less then  $1!!

Hungary, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. It is situated in the Carpathian Basin and is bordered by Slovakia to the north, Ukraine and Romania to the east, Serbia and Croatia to the south, Slovenia to the southwest and Austria to the west. The capital and largest city is Budapest. The official language is Hungarian, also known as Magyar.

Following 2  Register FDC were sold under 1 Euro.!!!  (there are more FDC sold under 1 Euro!!)

Max card was sold for 4.50 Euros.
Block of 4 was sold for $1. FDC was sold for 1 Euro.

So new collectors please aware of pricing for this stamps, FDC and Max Card which are one of the most widely available after Gandhi stamps from India, USA, UK and Hungary.!!

Do you think Gandhi stamp is still for Investment ?

After looking to this value to me it looks like no one wants to collect stamps in this modern world, because there are lot of others things to do, such as play video games on ipad, xbox, gamecube or on internet surf on web or facebook or lot of other outdoor activity such a hiking, skating, running etc or watch different shows on TV or sports games such as Cricket or Football or Basketball or just talking on smartphone or chating.!!

After all this kind of things you don't get any more extra time to pursue your hobby of stamp collection were not that many people are involved and you feel like retard when you talk to friends.!!

Also there are lot of cheating such as Forgery stamps, Shill bidding, BOGUS philatelic material  involved in stamps collection.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.

8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM

Now does it make sense to collect stamps ?

What is Gandhi Stamp Value ? Does it make sense to Invest in Gandhi stamps.!!

We all know how price are increased on eBay.

1) SHILL bidding
2) Not paying to seller
3) Selling with different accounts.

Now let's research about Gandhi Stamp Value.

I know you all might have following Gandhi stamps in your collection but this is blog post is for future new Gandhi collectors.

Above 12 stamps are very colorful from 9 different countries which are Brazil, Hungary, Chile, Tanzania, Guyana, Senegal , Morocco, Nevis & Ireland. Most of this stamps were issued in 1969 which is almost 40+ years.

But all this stamps were UNSOLD for $12 and now it for resale again at $13.!!!   Look at following screen shot of this Gandhi stamp value and it's amazing that same stamps are sold by 2 different sellers.!!

As I mentioned before that you can find MNH Gandhi Stamps any time as there are NO RARE stamps. It is made RARE by certain dealers who try to profit out of it.

So who ever bought this stamps 40 years ago and preserve this very nicely in album can't sell for $12 from 9 different countries.

In past we saw GANDHI DU CAMEROUN 2 STAMP 1969  sold for $2-3,  Gandhi SOMALIA 3 STAMPS 1969 sold for $3-4  and GANDHI SYRIAN TWO STAMPS 1969 sold for $1-2.

As I mentioned in my previous blog posts that Gandhi stamps are not for Investment. Now it's up to you to think whether Gandhi stamps make sense for Investment.!!!

You can also read my another blog post about Mahatma Gandhi Stamp - Is it for Investment ?

I know by writing this kind of information I am decreasing my own collection value, but it's OK to let other's new emerging  collectors what is True value of Gandhi  Stamp Collection instead of just using other technique to increase the prices.!!

Another example of same philatelic material sold by 2 different id.  Sellers are "sanu108" and "405940"

Following 3 covers from Suriname, Zambia and Costa Rica were on auction by 2 different sellers.!!!

Also Covers from Zambia and Costa Rica needs more research because CDS is unclear and not sure about postage rates at that time. So stay away from any Gandhi USED covers as it's a big scam going on.!!!

But looking all screen shot it looks like all  3 sellers id's is from same ebay seller.!!

"10saki88" , "sanu108" and  "405940" .!!

And might be more.!!

I hope you got my point.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.

8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM
11) SCANDAL in stamp collection
12) How to increase stamp collection value

Now does it make sense to collect stamps ?

But now you know my 15 steps to make money on internet.!! and following four blog post will make you expert in making money.!!

Mahatma Gandhi Stamp - Is it for Investment ?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Want to know value of Mahatma Gandhi stamp then check out following screenshot. Also you can see it's not  in great demand as barely there are 1 or 2 bids and some of them were not even sold.!!

So it looks like Gandhi Stamps are not for INVESTMENT because after 40 years price of stamps is not increased at all or there is no buyer of this stamps!! So again if you are thinking for Investment in Gandhi Stamps then this is not a place to be.

Upper Volta - $0.99
Hungary - Magyar Posta - $0.99 (UNSOLD)
Germany - $0.99 (UNSOLD)
Cyprus (Se-Tenant) - $0.99 (UNSOLD)
Chile - $0.99
Brazil - $0.99

I hope this will help to new Mahatma Gandhi collectors what price they need to pay for Gandhi Stamps. I think you can get still cheaper as ebay.com  (US site) don't allow to list below $0.99.

As I mentioned before that you can find stamps easily within 1-2$.  There is enough for everyone so don't  need to rush to add in your collection  within 2-3 months of starting this.  People will try to increase price of some stamps so don't get in to that as they are not super rich to get it all and even if they get it let it keep it with them for this kind of stamps from Cameroun, Yemen, Somalia, Syria and all Gandhi overprints stamps.

Also don't try to buy it in a lot to save shipping. That is one of the reason you will get cheated.!!

Can't Believe this price.!! Also Can't believe that out of 4 stamps UNSOLD 3 were issued in 1969. Also in my previous blog post about  Unbelivable price of Germany Gandhi stamp was sold for $7.50.!!!  So not sure what going on in Gandhi Philately world.!!!

In short I think Mahatma Gandhi stamp is not for Investment.

Click following link to read more about above FAKE FDC with Gandhi Stamps.!!

Now after looking all of the above what do you think about similarity about First Aerial Mail.?

Don't you think this is FAKE cover because it has insufficient postage?

Following blog post will explain you that indeed that Indian Stamps and Philately (British India and 1948 Gandhi Stamps) needs to be examined before you even think about buying it.

Forgery in Indian Philately as well as 1854 Queen Victoria stamps.
Beware of First Aerial Mail.
King Edward stamp and Gandhi Stamps.!!
Gandhi Stamps and Independence of India. (shameless act !!)
A Hobby in Decline.!!

So don't you think similarity between seller ("buyitnowitem", "ph4uv" and "drpokiri") of Gandhi Philatelic material and other philatelic material such as First Aerial Post, British India Stamps,  Queen Victoria and King George Stamps.

Again thanks for reading and  Please share your thoughts in the comments section.

How to create Gandhi Error stamps

Hello Gandhi Philatelic Collectors,

I was looking for Gandhi error stamp for my collection to make unique than all of you !! and I was surprised how many Gandhi Error stamps are available in market today.

Now first let talk about types of error in stamps. There are different types of errors in stamp whiile printing or designing and the errors are Design error, Value error, Omission error, Invert error, Color error, Paper error, Imperforate error and others.

But in Gandhi stamps I only found 2 types of error.

1) Imperforate error (Perforations are missing or incorrect)
2) Color error (Stamp is printed in the wrong color)

As we can understand that Imperforate error are genuine error as it was due to human or machine error while imperforating the stamp sheet in the machine. So I will only discuss about color (faded) error.

But about the color error I was little bit curious about it so I went to stamp show and ask one of the expert and he explained me about what's going on with this COLOR error stamp. I also did my own research on this topic and I was surprised how easy is to CREATE ERROR STAMP.

1) By keeping certain part of stamp in Sunlight for few days
2) By using bleach on stamp

3) God knows....

Following are some of the example of Gandhi color error stamp. I am not sure whether this is printing machine issue or man made by exposing various methods to do it. It's upto collector to judge this stamps before they buy or use some experts help(not me.!!).

Check some of the amazing FAKE color error stamps. It's worth to look and understand what is and can be possible.

http://www.stephenrdatz.com/srd7blue_033.htm (FAKE error stamps)

http://www.stephenrdatz.com/srd7blue_021.htm (REAL error stamps)

After looking at above website What do you think about this Gandhi Color errors?

If not sure than try it out. It's not that hard. Just waste 2-3 stamps and you will get error Gandhi stamps.

Tips for spotting FAKE error stamps

http://www.stephenrdatz.com/srd7blue_031.htm

We had seen this in  Gandhi stamp collection, were everyone think they are smarter than other.!!!

Click one of the following link and you will become smarter.!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.
7) First AirMail Post
8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM
11) SCANDAL in stamp collection
12) How to increase stamp collection value

Now does it make sense to collect stamps after looking above blog posts?

Now let's talk about REAL Gandhi stamp error.

Look at following block of Gandhi Hungary Stamp. This is the REAL (Genuine) color error stamp in which color(black) itself is missing and because of that you can't see other letters on the stamps. This is not a example of faded color error but it's REAL.

But this might be STOLEN from waste or government archive or instead of shredded or burned.!! So don't consider this as ERROR stamp but it is stolen property from people of HUNGARY.!!

This Hungary Gandhi stamp is the genuine color (missing) error  but it's stolen from waste which was sold on ebay for 1246 US $.

So each stamp cost about 300$!! instead of $2 if it was GENUINE stamp.

Again thanks for reading and  please share your thoughts in the comments section

Thanks
