Gandhi stamps sell for £500,000 - Gandhi SERVICE stamps

We know only from news article that Gandhi stamps sell for £500,000 in auction.

But do you really think it is sold in auction?

If really sold  then do seller pay tax on profit they made on auction?

Do anyone know who is seller (except auction house).

How government will find out who is seller and get tax?

What do you think about this Gandhi stamps sell for £500,000 ?

Is it genuine auction sell or fake one(no one paid and buyer took stamp back).

Do anyone know that tax was paid on this Gandhi stamps sell for £500,000?

According to me and my research(you don't have to believe me) that this Gandhi SERVICE 10 Rupees was never overprinted by C. Rajagopalchari. Check following link

It's just BOGUS(never overprinted officially and used by Rajagopalchari).

This stamp is marketed as rare stamp. (Rajagopalchari will never make rear).

This stamp is marketed as send to Queen of England (Rajagopalchari or any Indain freedom fighter will not send anything to Queen or anyone in England).

But some one is paying  £500,000. It's good. Now seller needs to pay tax and buyer needs to be aware when they sell it as they also have to pay tax on profit(capital gain tax) they makes.

You can get overprint stamp for $5-20. Ofcourse stamp is FAKE and OVERPRINT is BOGUS.

YOU CAN BUY THIS GENUINE OVERPRINT STAMP FOR $10-20.

SO WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THIS GANDHI SERVICE STAMP?

BOGUS?

GENUINE?

TAX ON PROFIT WAS PAID?

DID AUCTION SITE REPORTED THIS TRANSACTION TO GOVERNMENT SO THEY CAN COLLECT TAX?

THANKS

1948 Gandhi stamp from India with overprint SERVICE sold for £500,000

I read following news  that 1948 Gandhi stamp from India with overprint SERVICE sold for £500,000.

Gandhi stamps sell for £500000

1948 Gandhi stamps sold for record Rs 4.14 crore

Rare 1948 Gandhi stamps sold in London for a record of Rs 4.14 crore

Rare Stamps From The Indian Independence Era Sold In London ...

Philately incredible: Aussie breaks record, pays $850000 for four ...

Rare Mahatma Gandhi stamps fetch whopping 500000 pounds at ...Gandhi stamp sale breaks Indian record

Read my following blog post and you decide whether this much money on stamps make sense to you.!!

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2014/07/overprint-stamps-1948-gandhi-service.html
http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2014/09/jal-cooper-overprint-stamp-how-he-was.html

Now let's not worry about whether this is BOGUS (never exist) or FAKE and consider as genuine.

Just think how much money GOVERNMENT is getting from this kind of stamp auction.
  • Capital Gain Tax
  • VAT
Do anyone know which country is getting this TAX ?

According to me Capital Gain Tax may be somewhere between $50000 - $100,000 as this is LONG TERM capital gain tax.

It's depends on country from where owner is selling.!!

But as this stamp is from INDIA does government of India is getting any money on TAX ?

Does government of INDIA know who bought this stamp in 1948.!! ?

Also auction house will get $50000 to $100000 from just one auction of stamp!! (10-20% commission).

We know buyer is from Australia so next time when it will be sold again he/she has to pay to Capital Gain TAX to Australian government.!!

As per following image Only 13 of the 1948 Gandhi 10-rupee Purple Brown and Lake 'Service' stamps are in circulation.

What are chances of more overprint stamp don't exist.!!

What are chances of more than 13 still exist.

May be 1000 or 10000 or more.!!

God knows how many were printed.!!

So now let's get back to point.!!

Which country is getting Capital Gain TAX ?

India, UK, USA, Australia or European UNION ?

Thanks

Capital Gain Tax on collectibles - Gandhi India stamp sold for $205000.- World Record Price of a stamp.

In USA I just paid my taxes on April 18th and it's complicated when you have to calculate Capital Gain Tax which apply on stamp collection also.

You have to pay Capital Gain Tax on hobby also.!! So I was wondering how much money seller has to pay in Capital Gain Tax in 2012 for Gandhi Service stamp which was sold for $205000.

My opinion about Gandhi overprint SERVICE stamp is nothing but BOGUS (never exist) which can be easily overprint and no one will know.!! ( You just have to let people know about it).

India Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp is nothing but to make money by some famous collectors/dealers when they realize they can make money by overprinting and claim as genuine.

There are even FORGERY of this BOGUS stamp also.!!

Even BOGUS are selling as genuine with Forged Expert Certificate.!!

IN PAST I WROTE BLOG POST Gandhi SERVICE STAMP which will explain it why I called it BOGUS.

Click to  read it or just scroll down and you will see complete blog post.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2015/12/rajagopalachari-governor-general-of.html

My opinion is like Expert Committee.!!

Don't take any responsibility or liability.!!

And you also don't have to believe my opinion.!!

In May 2011, Gandhi 10 Rupees SERVICE overprint stamp was sold for $205000.!!  It's original price was 10 Rupees in 1948 (about $2).

Also you can search on google and you will find tons of information about this Gandhi SERVICE Stamp sold for world record price.

But for this blog post let's forget about my opinion and think it is genuine so we can predict how much profit is made on this not only by seller but also by
  • Stamp auctioneer got commission.
  • Seller's Country where Capital Gain Tax was paid
  • Seller's Country where State Tax  or VAT was paid.

Do you think it was really sold for this price ? As per all the news we read in newspaper, blogs, websites etc  it looks like it was sold.

So seller has to pay lot of capital gain tax on this $205000.

My general estimate for capital gain tax on this collectible item it will be about $35000 - $60000.!! depending on country and seller's buying price.

Lot of money for any government.!!

Do anyone know which country got this capital Gain tax ? (Is it India or UK or USA or ?)

Do you really think Capital Gain tax was paid for this auction by seller?

Do any country cares about this kind of capital gain tax ?

Do you know who is the seller ?

As per Gandhi stamp and philatelic Handbook(Cannot trust this book) as well as other website/blogs/stamp exhibit which specific that only  7 or 11 or 18 ( or more) stamps is known to be with private collector.!! (So it's one of the collector selling it ?)

Do you know who is the buyer ? (needs to pay capital gain tax on this when he sells).

So do you think it one of the seven or eleven known collector who has this stamp is selling this. ?

But how we know all this things ?

IT WILL BE VERY HARD TO FIND ALL THIS INFORMATION.

But we still believe that this is one of the expensive India stamp without actual knowing anything about this stamp.!!!

So what do you think about Capital Gain Tax, Sales Tax/ VAT on this stamp ?

Do any country got it ?

Thanks

Expensive stamps or Most valuable stamps - Need to think about it before STAMP as INVESTMENT.!! - It's Never exist.

Now I can definitely say that all this Overprint Gandhi SERVICE stamps are bogus. It never exist.

All claim about most valuable stamps or most expensive India stamps are also bogus because overprint stamp NEVER exist.!

Click following website of Postal department of Government of India and you will NOT find overprint Gandhi SERVICE stamp.

So this means that all SERVICE stamps are BOGUS. It never exist.!!

Someone like me did this OVERPRINT in 1948 or 1949 and it has been published in handbooks, exhibit in exhibition or auctioned as expensive stamps or most valuable stamps which is nothing but glorified everywhere without knowing the fact about it.

And that's the reason it's not on Indian Government Postal department website.

"A set of stamps over-printed as "Service" was issued to the Government of India for official purposes. Only 100 Mahatama Gandhi 10 Rs. stamps were overprinted with "Service" and issued for the use of C. Rajagopalachari, the Governor General of India, making it the world's least printed stamp. Of the hundred stamps that were overprinted with "Service", a few were given to dignitaries, while most, including an intact sheet of 50, remain at the National Archives, Postal Museums, etc. The 2006 book by Dr. Reuben Ramkissoon and Dr. Rajagopalan reports that less than 8 copies of the Gandhi 10 Rs Service stamps reside in private hands. In 2011 David Feldman sold an example for €144,000 and suggests that only 18 are known. Forgeries of the overprint are known."

How it end up in National Archives.!!

How we know it's in National Archives or Museum ? (might be given by creator, same way like first aerial mail.!)

How we know only 8 exists?

How we know it's only 100 or 200 printed.!!

Why only 100 or 200!! (To make world least printed stamp!!)

It's nothing but to make money. And that's also lot's of it.!! And someone think it's  investment in Stamp.!!

Not sure whether C. Rajagopalachari (Governor General of India) knows about this stamp.!!

We can't trust all that Philatelic handbooks or year books or exhibit or website for correct info because there are chances they got it wrong information.!!

In past I wrote about incorrect information in handbooks so it does not make sense at all to believe it's genuine.

Following is the screen shot from Government of India website which is Genuine.!!

There are wide variety of BOGUS philatelic material made with this 1948 Gandhi stamps so Beware of this before you buy.

So what do you think about this Expensive Stamp ?

Is it really a BOGUS stamp as per my finding ?

My opinion or believe is that OVERPRINT never happened officially by Indian Government or it was not done by Swiss printer.

I think this was glorified by some famous collector or dealer during that time.!!

Following are some forgery blog post I wrote in past.

BOGUS Rubber stamp of Round Table Conference selling for $255.!!

Do you really think Indian Round Table Conference CDS was actually issued or it's just a rubber stamp which was never issued.

Expensive stamps : Are stamps for investments. ?

We all know how price are increased on eBay by SHILL bidding or by listing at high price and wait for some new buyer to buy it.

Also there is a great push for stamps investment, so some broker or auction company can make money on commission from rich people as they are not aware of CHEATING in stamp collection.

Recently I saw Gandhi stamps from Yemen , Sri Lanka and Somalia were for sale on eBay by "arun7602" for $25 each!!!

And if you buy this stamp for more than $1 or $2 than you will QUIT this hobby and regret whole life why you come in to this.!!

Of course rich people from will not invest in stamp selling for  $25 !!, but it's for medium income family who earned money very hard.!!

According to me this stamp of Mahatma Gandhi from Yemen, Sri Lanka or Somalia should not be more than $1.!! Yes $1, because it's not a unique or rare stamps of Mahatma Gandhi.

Also chances of forgery stamps are very high because it's easier to print now a days.

But if new collector see this price and find somewhere at half price they will try to buy it as they will think they got a deal, but they are ripped off!!

This is not a stamp collection but it's a stamp game, were you try to make fool (cheat) new collectors by listing at higher price and then list with other id at little lower price!!!

Now if you see following screenshot you will get idea what is the pricing of this expensive stamps.!!

It's barely $1 or $2 and it's available in large quantity, more than new collectors will come to this hobby of expensive stamp collection.!!

Even Somalia Gandhi FDC first day cover is selling for $4.!!

So don't you think this $25 for just stamps are very high or unreasonable?

Don't you think if you don't know pricing and buy this stamp then it will be expensive stamps ?

Read some of interesting blog post to see what's going in Gandhi stamps collection and think in your other collectibles items as well.!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.

8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM
11) SCANDAL in stamp collection
12) How to increase stamp collection value

After reading all of the above blog post it's now up to you to decide about what is stamp value and decide whether is there any  Expensive stamps.!!

Straits Settlements stamps B/172 India stamps - Do you really think it's worth $34,500.!!?

Recently I saw  1859 Queen Victoria stampIndia stamp used in Straits Settlements with  post mark rubber stamp  with B/172 octagonal cancellation which was for sale for $34000.

Do you really think it's worth $34,500.!!?

In past we had seen forgery India used in Straits Settlements bisect with B/172 post mark rubber stamp which is in Octagonal shape which is also know as Penang Octagonal.

This forgery was was on East India stamp around 1859 with bisect stamp of Queen Victoria from India which was sold for $2.!!

So now what are chances of FORGERY in following cover from India stamp used in Straits Settlements - 1859 entire with 4a bisect B/172 was for sale $34,500 by "stamp_bay".

Only thing you have to do is cancel lightly and incomplete.!! and you can make lot of money.!!

Also it''s easier to make forgery of this than Gandhi SERVICE stamps cover because you don't need to worry about overprint Gandhi SERVICE stamp and also Governor General postmark (rubber stamp) and O.H.M.S cover and also make more money than Gandhi SERVICE cover.!!

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/12/most-valuable-postage-stamp.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/12/most-expensive-stamps-ohms-covers.html

Don't you think it's easy to make this kind of cover and make money.!! I think so.

You just need do following.

1) Buy some 1850 Queen Victoria stamps
2) Find some old covers in stamp exhibition dealers
3) Make forged B/172 octagonal rubber stamp
4) Now affix that 1850 QV  stamps Queen Victoria stamp on cover and apply B/172 rubber stamp. (lightly)
5) If you want some back cancellation stamp date then make forged rubber stamp from that city.

And now you are ready to make money.!!!

Lot of money.- $34,500.!!

You can get Expertising certificate from any philatelic society to authentic any stamp also.!!

Of course they don't certify rubber stamp post mark cancellation or piece of paper or cover. They will certify stamp only so you can sell it with Expertising certificate.!!

You can forged Philatelic Expertising Certificate also.!!

Now learn more by read following of three blog post so you will be expert in making money.!!

We had seen lot of forgery so anything is possible or doable.!! It's not only Gandhi stamps but any British India stamp is affix on cover and apply forged rubber stamp and a great unique rare stamps philatelic cover is ready.!!

Following is one more forgery with Queen Victoria stamps.

In past I wrote about Forgery stamps so it will make easy for you to decide.

So what do you think about India stamp used  in Straits Settlements stamps with B/172 post mark.!!?

Can you start making money.!! I think so it's easy.!!

Thanks

Expensive India stamps - Rare Indian stamp ?

We all know when it's rare (very very rare) then only it will be expensive and famous. Also it should be from some well know country, otherwise even if it is rare stamp than also it will be not famous and it will be not expensive.

Expensive stamps are actually made rare so it will eventually become expensive.

Think about 10 Rupees Gandhi SERVICE stamp from India and apply logic there why it is expensive. First all it was only printed 100 stamps for use only by Governor General of India. (Government usage only). So how in the world normal collector will have this stamp. According to me if general people cannot buy it at face value than it is not consider a stamp.

Think if KING of England decide in 1850 than only King will use first stamp and it will be only with King. If that was the case than penny black stamp will be billion dollar right now.!! But it's available under $100, because this stamp were printed in large quantity and it was available to general public.

Some of the rare stamps are which were printed in error and it was available to general public during that time. One of the famous example is INVERTED JENNY. Recently this stamp was sold for 2 million dollar for block of four.

You will think your collection also become rare and has expensive stamps, but chances are very less unless you start CHEATING.!!

How to increase your stamp collection value :

Philatelic SCAM:

Make forgery philatelic material :

Art of Making Money:

Create RARE stamps or Philatelic material:

O.H.M.S., is short for On Her Majesty's Service or On His Majesty's Service (depending on the sex of the reigning monarch), is an official franking commonly seen on correspondence from government departments.

Not sure why someone will write with pen O.H.M.S on cover even after 17+ months of India Independence from British.!! But my guess is by hand writing it they want to prove it's genuine and make it one of the most expensive stamp in Gandhi stamp collection.!!

This kind of thing happens when you do some thing wrong and keep some proof which will help to find the mystery.!!

In Hindi language there is proverb 'Chor ki Daadi mein Tinka' and this O.H.M.S is a "Tinka"!!

In English it will be "Mole in Thief's Beard."

Now this O.H.M.S philatelic cover was for auction starting at $69,000 or 50,000 Euros.!!! It's a one of the most expensive stamp collection item.!!

O.M.G!! Don't you think you just need one of this cover (expensive stamp) so you can live your whole life easily!!! It's almost 40+ Lakh rupees Indian money (40,00,000 Rupees or 4 million Rs.!!)

Rare Indian Stamps. Below is rare Indian stamps used on cover if genuine.!! This is  among the most scarce and rare Indian stamps available on market.!!

But to me it looks like rare FORGERY Indian stamp!! To more authentic maker of this cover wrote Registered + Airmail and also receiving date and time.!!!

Also Register label is just a piece of paper printed with R 186.!!

But amazing thing is that blue ink rubber stamp of C. Rajagopalachari without any title such as Governor General of India.!!

You can make one and try to make money.!! (Just Kidding.!!)

Want to learn "HOW TO MAKE MONEY USING INTERNET" or expensive stamp collection item then read following three blog post so you will be expert in making money and also making expensive stamps.!!

To me it's nothing but forgery to make and feel like it's genuine without thinking whether it make sense to write O.H.M.S.!!

So what do you think about this cover ? Is it official cover or just a big forgery.!! ?

To me it looks like a big time forgery !!

Now see following screenshot and you decide that this are really used Gandhi SERVICE stamps.

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

Following is the large quantity(very rare!!) currently for sale!! In past 6 months I had seen more than 30 for sale!!

Out of which I found interesting. I saw two Gandhi SERVICE stamps with KGVI on a piece of paper with Governor General Camp P.O. (Click this link to see it on delcampe) and it's starting price is 3000 Euros.!!!

Yes 3000 Euros.!!!

But I noticed that date of cancellation on that piece of paper is 15 May 1949 which was SUNDAY.

* Do any one know Governor General was working on SUNDAY in 1949 ?

* Do any one know Governor office (post office / camp p.o) was open on SUNDAY in 1949?

* How can you tell that this piece of paper is from Offical Cover  as it is mentioned in description.?

* Did you notice that King George Stamp is regular stamp ? SERVICE overprint is missing? Is it Error.!! (No there was also regular stamps of King George.!!)

* Don't you think collector or receiver or maker of this piece on paper don't know the value of this.!!! You can see 1 or 2 or 3 on piece of paper but not 30+ in last 2-3 months.

* Don't you think it's easy to make this kind of rubber stamp?

What do you think about this Gandhi SERVICE stamp with Governor General PO date stamp?

FAKE or FORGED ?

I think your guess will be mine.!!

We all had seen FAKE stamp of 1948 India GANDHI SERVICE for all kind of value!!

So now do you think it's above Governor-General cancellation GENUINE ? or FAKE (just piece of paper) ?

This is how to make money in Philatelic.!! Use Mint stamps worth $5 and make $4000!! by creating this kind of material.!!

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?

8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!!

Thanks

India Stamps - 1948 India Gandhi Stamps are false hope of RICHES?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

You will be seeing that some of the Gandhi 1948 FDC and Used cover are selling at unbelievable price which makes  me curious to dig more into this and trying to aware all collectors.

FDC was sold for $6350

Do you Really think this is a Genuine price?

Forget price, do you think this is Genuine special cancellation?

I don't think it's a genuine special cancellation, but it forgery.!!!

http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p4340.l2565&rt=nc&item=300691868130

Please look at the following screenshot of expensive Gandhi Philatelic material sold  and you will think, Is Gandhi Stamps are for only RICH people or Is this a real transaction or a way to inflate the price so you will buy same or similar philatelic material it at half price or less thinking you got a great discount.!!

Collectors (Buyer) stay in this hobby if you have following kind of buying power  like ebay buyer "hitlerandgandhi", "blue_guy_1234", "philapragya24" , "echobangla" etc otherwise run away from this hobby and Think Different hobby(it's a game).!!!

Do you really think eBay got commission from this transaction ?

It will be about $2500.!!

Or eBay is also CHEATED by seller not paying commission ?

Click above image to see enlarge copy of it so you can see details.

What do you think about this all expensive Gandhi Philatelic material purchase.?

Collectors (Seller) stay in this hobby only if you have above kind of philatelic material such as from drpokiri(aka stampsniper), akhtarkk, barrydavid2005 etc.

If you don't have this then learn how to sell it at high price and stay in this hobby(it's a game).!!

Study all buyers and sellers activity and then you can play this game of hobby too.!!

Ebay buyer "hitlerandgandhi" from India bought more than 25000 US Dollars worth of Philatelic material mostly Gandhi in last 30 days.!!

Also in August 2011 he bought some expensive 1948 FDC. Click following link to see what he purchased.

I am not sure who is "hitlerandgandhi" but to me he looks like a very rich person!! who is spending this kind of  offical white money openly in public auction market without any fear of goverment because all this transactions are recorded on ebay and paypal and they keeps this kind of information for 7-15 years or more depending on finiancial transaction for any future inquiry.

Do you think "hitlerandgandhi" is really paying for this item?

After looking all the above sold Gandhi Philatelic material,  Do you think 1948 India Gandhi Stamps are false hope of RICHES? I think so.!!

Again thanks for reading and  please share your thoughts in the comments section.

Also there are lot of cheating such as Forgery stamps, Shill bidding, BOGUS philatelic material  involved in stamps collection.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.

3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.
