Forgery stamps or FAKE or BOGUS stamp collection postal history from India 1948 Gandhi First day cover

We all know that no one collect stamps any more but still if . you see on eBay there are lot of postal history selling for unbelievable high price.

But also there are lot of Forgery stamps are available also. REPLICA are selling as genuine.

If you read my blog post you know that in 1948 Gandhi stamps from India also had special cancellation (rubber stamp) from Bombay.

But some of the collector came up with idea of special cancellation from different cities and created FAKE or BOGUS (never issued or existed) rubber stamps of special cancellation.

Following First day cover is BOGUS.

Reason for bogus is that there was no special cancellation  issued from AGRA.

But certain famous collector started displaying this kind of first day cover in there in stamp exhibit and also provided this to Gandhi Philatelic and Stamps Handbook author who also wrote and printed in his/her book.

Now new collectors don't know what happen and we believe Philatelic handbook and online exhibit and think this are genuine.

On top of them they started selling on eBay and also started SHILL bidding to increase price so it make us think more that this is genuine.

Also expert certificate were issued for this kind of BOGUS philatelic postal history. There is no one EXPERT in stamp. !!

Recently in August 2018  eBay seller "01visitor" from Hungary sold 1948 Gandhi private (without official envelope) FDC with special cancellation from AGRA was sold for $1000.

He sold another one for $500 in September.!!

Also this FDC has also high value 10 Rupees stamp. In 1948 ten rupees was too much money and regular people will not spend this kind on money on stamp collection to send it to their own address.!!

So to me this stamp is also FORGERY. (Replica is used).

Also regarding the rubber stamp of special cancellation is BOGUS. It was not issued by Post & Telegraph department of India as they never want to sell this stamp from smaller cities like Agra or even Ahmedbad.(Gandhiji spend 15-20 years during freedom fighting.).

Do you really think both transaction are genuine ? ( two covers were sold ?)

Do you really think eBay got commission on  transactions worth $1500 which will be $150 ?

Do you really think Hungary got VAT  (20%) from this transaction which will be $300 ?

Want to read more about Jai Hind special cancellation. Please read following blog post and you I guarantee you will never collect stamps.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/02/gandhi-stamps-and-1948-jai-hind-special.html

So what do you think about this AGRA Jai hind special cancellation first day cover.

Forgery stamps is used ?
FAKE or BOGUS ?

Thanks

Gandhi 1948 stamps first day cover FDC from India sold recently

After looking recent selling on eBay it looks like Gandhi 1948 FDC from India are selling at good price.

Do you believe that price are correct by just looking selling price ?

Do you think this is genuine transaction ?

Do you think this are genuine FDC with genuine stamps and special cancellation ?
  • I had seen lot of Forgery stamps selling as genuine
  • I had seen lot of Forgery of special cancellation from Bombay, Delhi, Madras etc.
  • I had seen lot of FAKE (never exist or issued) special cancellation from different cities of India.!!
Do you think FAKE bidding like
  •  seller using other id to bid
  • inflated by other collectors
  • buyer did not paid after winning it.
  • Do you think # of bidders & bids on each transactions are real.!!
Do you think eBay and Paypal are getting commission on this transaction ?
  • seller can open eBay case for no payment by buyer, so seller don't have to pay any listing fees as well as commission.
  • any eBay member can increase price by just bidding it even they don't have any balance in their account.
  • it's simple for buyer just don't pay.
Now let's consider all of the following  transaction is genuine.
  • Do seller paid VAT for Europe or India ?
  • Do seller paid Federal tax, state tax or any local tax to there respective countries.?
  • It's lot of money for government as just 7 item were sold for $10000.!!

It will be very hard to find all this details so we will not know it's genuine stamps, genuine seller, genuine buyer, genuine transaction etc.

So BEWARE what are you investing.

To me stamp hobby is DEAD. No one is investing but after looking following transaction worth of $10000 from just seven auction item and # of bidders it looks like lot of interest in it.

How to make money on eBay - Selling stamps

Recently I saw 1948 Gandhi FDC sold for $1700 by eBay seller "peter_se26" based in UK since 2002.

Item is located in Spain.!!

There were 44 bids on this Gandhi FDC.

Do you think stamp collection is this much popular in this modern age where no one collects anything because of lot of other things to do such as facebook/twitter/instagram/snapchat/youtube, surfing internet on mobile phone and more.

But there were 11 bidders who were interested in this stamp collection.!!

Do you think eBay got commission on this transaction ?

What are chances of

  • buyer might have not paid to seller.
Do you think this is really worth $1700 ?

What are chances of

    • FAKE bidding by other stamp collect to increase price ?
    • Shill bidding by friends, relatives ?
    • Shill bidding by seller by opening another eBay id ?

All are the possibilities when you sell on eBay so you cannot decide pricing based on selling price and you can't think that stamps are good investment.!!

Also do you think all government taxes like VAT/capital tax/income & local taxes etc are/will be paid for this eBay selling.?

    So BEWARE of stamp collection.

There is lot of cheating going in stamp collection to show that there is lot of interest in it. Also lot of Forgery and BOGUS stamps related items are selling.

    Thanks

Private FDC stamp collection - Personal FDC - Philatelic material collection

Recently I saw  1948 private FDC  with India Gandhi stamps which was sold for $340 by eBay seller "pom_poko51" from UK.

It has 17 bidders and 35 bids.!!

After looking this do you really think 17 bidders are interested in this or it's SHILL bidding ?

Following is the description of the cover.

"1948 MAHATMA GANDHI , FULL SET INCLUDING THE VERY RARE 10 RUPEE , FIRST DAY COVER , POSTMARKED CALCUTTA , POSTED BY HSBC BANK MANAGER TO HIMSELF ON HSBC COMPANY ENVELOPE ….  HAS REAR BACKSTAMP ALSO , ITEM HAS TEN DAYS TO RUN ONLY  ….. "

Now think following points and decide whether this make sense.?
    • Why HSBC manager want private FDC from Ballgunge  local post office? (Even though official Post & Telegraph FDC envelopes were available in Calcutta GPO which was 8-9 km away from this post office).
    • Why HSBC manager did not want official Jai Hind special cancellation issued for this stamp.?
As I mentioned in my previous blog post there were only 2-4 cities GPO  in India (Bombay, Caluctta, Delhi and Madras) were issuing FDC because of 1st anniversary of Independence day and also it was Sunday.

It will be very hard to deliver stamps to all post office on first day of issue. (It's not possible in 2016.!! so how it's possible in 1948 and that also on Sunday which was first anniversary of India Independence.)

Also there were not that many stamp collectors in 1948 as there was not that much money with people to invest in stamps and FDC.!!

Click following link to know what is this 1948 special Jai Hind cancellation.!!

    http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/02/gandhi-stamps-and-1948-jai-hind-special.html

I had seen more than 100 cities rubber stamp which are claimed as personal FDC which are nothing forgery of post office rubber stamp. I think Ballgunge is one more addition to this.!!

Even after 17 bidders price did not go up for this  Private FDC stamp collection- Personal FDC - Philatelic collection.

In past I saw Private FDC stamp collection - Personal FDC - Philatelic collection of 1948 Gandhi stamps were sold from $3000 - $900.!!

Private FDC was sold for $1675. (by eBay seller "mafeking100")

There are more than 100+ blog post just about 1948 Gandhi stamps Bogus  & Forgery philatelic collection.!!

There are so many forgery philatelic material with 1948 Gandhi stamps, one can open exhibit for just  FORGERY and BOGUS Gandhi philatelic collection.

It's just required FORGERY stamp and rubber stamp to make philatelic collection material and apply on any old cover you find with stamp dealer in stamp show.!!

You can write a Handbook about Gandhi stamps forgery and Bogus philatelic material.!!

The current Handbook has lot of examples of forgery and bogus philatelic material and also some of them are with incorrect information.

In Handbook they never mentioned it's forgery or possible forgery.!!

But author know who submitted in the book.!!

To me Handbook is nothing but marketing of bogus or forged philatelic material with help of other famous collector who exhibit in stamp show.!!

To me it's easy way to make money by creating philatelic material.!!

I think philatelic used cover or register cover was made to make money.!!

So beware before you buy and philatelic material. It's just a rubber stamp.!!

    Thanks

gandhistamps Maximum Card : What a price difference in Gandhi Philately material

    Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

In this blog post I am writing about recently auctioned Max cards with all 4 stamps (including 10 Rupees Gandhi) 1948 Gandhi stamps from India.  Following are selling price and date it was sold.

    3/29/12 :- $5105
    6/07/12  :- $2501
    7/20/12 :- $1390
    9/13/12 :- $810

Don't know why this much difference, even there was no difference at all, but your guess is my guess.!!

But amazing thing is that max card with 3 stamps (without 10 Rupees) was sold for $680.!! So not sure what's happening!!
But my feeling is that it's nothing but glorification of Gandhi stamps by increasing value(but not paying it) and make you think that this is it.!! You got to invest in 1948 Gandhi Stamps.!!

Now what is the real value of this kind of material.?

Max card with only 3 lower value Gandhi stamp was sold for $680!!!

Is it not amazing that 4 stamp  max card sold for $810 were as 3 stamp sold for $680!! So 10 Rupees Gandhi stamp is only worth $120 with first day special "Jai Hind" cancellation on a maxi card.!!

On 29th March,  Max card with 1948 India Gandhi stamps was sold for $5105 to ebay buyer id "hitlerandgandhi". (To me this was just a FAKE transaction as it was not paid and just glorified Gandhi Stamps, so you think "Is it really for investment.!! or Is it really worth collecting.!!").

Please read my previous blog about this Maxi card so you will be aware of what's happening in 1948 Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic.

    http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/06/1948-gandhi-max-card-sold-for-5100-is.html

    Don't know why Gandhi Max Card value fell by 100% !! $5100 - $2501.!!

Why it went only for $2501.!! Don't know what happen to other bidders  who bidded and lost in $5105!! But your guess is my guess.

    2nd Bidder : h***t (1689) "posthost" aka "philametrics"
    3rd Bidder : m***1(421) "airmail1929"

All this information is collected from public available sources. (In USA if you buy house everyone knows who is buyer and seller and what price it sold after 30-60days in local newspaper and after that partly available on zillow.com!!)  Also as one of the bidder (loser) I can get ebay buyer info easily.!!

On July 20, this maximum card was sold for $1390!!!!!!! So don't know why again price fell down by 100%.

Not sure what happen to previous auction bidders" posthost" and "airmail1929" who bidded twice the amount in previous auction. !! But my guess is your guess.!!

I lost following auction. I just bidded very minimum so I can do research.!!

But it's not worth collecting because it's HIGHLY INFLATED with all kind of methods just to glorify Gandhi stamps.

Not sure where the price of this kind of Max card with Gandhi stamps will stop.!!

If you have money to throw away then start collecting 1948 Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic material and get some worthless piece of paper.!! (Same is true of Panama Gandhi Stamps !!).

Still cannot decide then read following blog post which might help you.

Still not decided then my opinion is AVOID it all the cost.!! and have peace of mind instead of worrying you are buying Genuine material.!!!

To me all Gandhi Philatelic material available ( specially before 1950) looks FAKE or Forgery as it is very hard to find Genuine stuff and as new collectors (like me) wants to collect, so some greedy experienced collectors/dealers will provide  all of us as well as experienced collectors.!!

Still want to do research  then please read my other blog post and have fun.!!

1948 Gandhi Stamps : Are false hope of RICHES? - Part - II

    Hello Gandhi Collectors,

All of you are aware of  amazing things happening  in Gandhi Stamps and Philately world with lot of FAKE, Forgery, Shill bidding, etc this is one more example of it.

You can read my previous blog post   "1948 Gandhi Stamps are false hope of RICHES?" about following FDC which will give you more understanding about this blog.

Last month I bought a very expensive ($2000) register 1948 India Gandhi FDC from delcampe  to do some research as same  register FDC was sold 2 days ago on ebay for $6350.

I asked some question to seller and wrote blog post about this FDC, and before I even think about paying this seller closed the store on delcampe.!!

This FDC has same Register Label # which was sold on ebay auction today.

Don't you think Register label should be different # ? so is it FAKE or it's ERROR or it's a way of selling in Gandhi Philatelic as well as other pre-independence British India Philatelic material.!!

This register FDC has every thing similar including stamps, address, register label # and CDS has same date and same place on FDC!!. Only difference is seller's country. One is from France(delcampe) and other is from Australia(ebay).

Also on delcampe it was at Fixed price where as on ebay it was on auction which were active at same time.!!

I bought it from declampe and ebay FDC was bought by "hitlerandgandhi" for $6350.

Following is my purchase for $2050 (in Fixed Price Auction) from seller in France who is member of delcampe since April 13, 2012 (only 1 day ago!!) and 22 feedback!!!

    http://stamps.delcampe.net/page/item/id,0169320254,language,E.html

Following is purchased by "hitlerandgandhi" for $6350 (3 times of my value.!! in auction)

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&hash=item4602a1c9e2&item=300691868130&nma=true&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_
    0&rt=nc&si=J65hCkwjMxKV0RDUUrxakpauuwQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_500wt_1413

Now let's see who are top 3 bidders who bidded 44 bids.

Following finding are not at all illegal activity. All this information is available to public by just putting extra effort without illegally entering ebay servers or snooping ebay networks. Anyone can get this information (It is like looking things in public and using smartness what's going on.!!). There is no privacy invasion as it easily available by advance ebay search.!! without using spycam or password hacking or entering anyone personal computer.!!!

    1) hitlerandgandhi  (d***i (188))
    2) drpokiri (i***1 (327))
    3) boba_boba_boba (o***b (35))

Click above 3 links and see what is going on and try to figure out what it is and why it is and understand carefully about pricing, bidding etc.

I am not sure whether ebay transaction is a Genuine or something else.  Do you think it is really bought and sold.?

I don't think this FDC should be more than $100 or 200 or 300.!! So what do you think about this FDC pricing and transaction.?

Also there are lot of cheating such as Forgery stamps, Shill bidding, BOGUS philatelic material  involved in stamps collection.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

India Stamps - 1948 India Gandhi Stamps are false hope of RICHES?

    Hello Gandhi Collectors,

You will be seeing that some of the Gandhi 1948 FDC and Used cover are selling at unbelievable price which makes  me curious to dig more into this and trying to aware all collectors.

    FDC was sold for $6350

Do you Really think this is a Genuine price?

Forget price, do you think this is Genuine special cancellation?

I don't think it's a genuine special cancellation, but it forgery.!!!

    http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&_trksid=p4340.l2565&rt=nc&item=300691868130

Please look at the following screenshot of expensive Gandhi Philatelic material sold  and you will think, Is Gandhi Stamps are for only RICH people or Is this a real transaction or a way to inflate the price so you will buy same or similar philatelic material it at half price or less thinking you got a great discount.!!

Collectors (Buyer) stay in this hobby if you have following kind of buying power  like ebay buyer "hitlerandgandhi", "blue_guy_1234", "philapragya24" , "echobangla" etc otherwise run away from this hobby and Think Different hobby(it's a game).!!!

Do you really think eBay got commission from this transaction ?

    It will be about $2500.!!

Or eBay is also CHEATED by seller not paying commission ?

Click above image to see enlarge copy of it so you can see details.

What do you think about this all expensive Gandhi Philatelic material purchase.?

Collectors (Seller) stay in this hobby only if you have above kind of philatelic material such as from drpokiri(aka stampsniper), akhtarkk, barrydavid2005 etc.

If you don't have this then learn how to sell it at high price and stay in this hobby(it's a game).!!

Study all buyers and sellers activity and then you can play this game of hobby too.!!

Ebay buyer "hitlerandgandhi" from India bought more than 25000 US Dollars worth of Philatelic material mostly Gandhi in last 30 days.!!

Also in August 2011 he bought some expensive 1948 FDC. Click following link to see what he purchased.

I am not sure who is "hitlerandgandhi" but to me he looks like a very rich person!! who is spending this kind of  offical white money openly in public auction market without any fear of goverment because all this transactions are recorded on ebay and paypal and they keeps this kind of information for 7-15 years or more depending on finiancial transaction for any future inquiry.

Do you think "hitlerandgandhi" is really paying for this item?

After looking all the above sold Gandhi Philatelic material,  Do you think 1948 India Gandhi Stamps are false hope of RICHES? I think so.!!

Again thanks for reading and  please share your thoughts in the comments section.

Also there are lot of cheating such as Forgery stamps, Shill bidding, BOGUS philatelic material  involved in stamps collection.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

    1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
    2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
