We had seen lot of label in Gandhi stamp collection such as Boycott British Goods, Untouchability, Boycott Simon, Leprosy is curable and lot more. Following is the example of labels in stamp collection.

Some of this label are even mentioned in award winning  Gandhi stamp exhibit and even you can see more detail in Online Gandhi stamp exhibit.

In short this label has no value but it is artifically created by stamp collectors to make money. 

Even this label are mentioned in Gandhi Handbook (display of forgery and fake items) in order to make money.!!

Recently I saw India 1941 Rocket mail 1st Parachute unused Labels was sold for $1250  by eBay seller  "asianstamp" from Singapore previously known as "sephilasia2014" and  "sephil.asia.dubai" based in UAE. 

Original account of Asianstamp was opened in Australia then moved to Dubai (UAE) and then Singapore.!!

Can you believe that a label sold for $1250.!! 

It's just label (piece of paper). So anyone can print it any time.!! 

For @1250 you can buy GOLD coin.!! Yes real gold coin with 28 oz of gold.!!

Not sure who are this idiot buyers who are wasting their money.!!

Easy way to make money on eBay.!!

Do you think this is genuine eBay transaction?

Genuine eBay transaction means buyer paid to seller and eBay got commission on this transaction as much as $125.

Reason for asking this is sometimes in order to glorify stamp collection someone will buy it but don't pay to seller but no one know whether this is actually sold.!!

If you see this on eBay then you will think that this is sold for $1250.!!

Following postcard was not included in $1250!!. It's just example how it was used.

Again it is not official which country it was origin. Also anyone can make rubber stamp and forged signature and create postcard with rocket mail.!! Even if it is original created by Stephen Smith it don't have any value as it no official stamp or rubber stamp from country of origin.

Don't you think you can make one or ten or hundred and start making money on eBay.

Stephen Smith, was a pioneering Indian aerospace engineer who developed techniques in delivering mail by rocket. In the ten-year span of his experiments (1934–1944), Smith made some 270 launches, including at least 80 rocket mail flights. (Not sure whether this is correct as Wikipedia can be edited with incorrect information.)

Do you think Stephen Smith was interested in making this kind of postcards and labels.!!

I don't think so as he will be busy in learning new things in Aerospace industry but someone is using his name to make aerophilately.

But some collectors after his dead decided to create this kind of lot of things and started making money on his name.!!

 Asian Stamp - India 1941 Rocket mail 1st Parachute Labels was sold for $1250 and $1500 in Best Offered. Not sure it was actually sold for but may be 10-20% less.

Can you believe that Asian Stamp make about $2000 just on labels of -India 1941 Rocket mail 1st Parachute Labels.

Indian Philatelic - Gandhi Boycott British Goods Non-violence label

We all know how stamp collectors and dealers make money by creating some forgery which they claim it as rare or unique item.

Following Indian Philatelic Gandhi Boycott British Goods Non-violence is one of them.

My personal opinion is that India Gandhi Boycott British Goods Non-violence nothing but FORGERY or might not even exist(Bogus label) in 1930 or even  Gandhiji might not have even seen it. It's just some greedy people during that time might have taken advantage of this and issue couple of label which were legal to even use during that time.

And now India Gandhi Boycott British Goods Non-violence created as forgery by just printing it and putting in sunlight or dust or oil or water and are creating as rare unique label.

What ever you see in Stamp exhibit is not always genuine. And same is the case with whatever you read in Indian Philatelic Handbook or yearbook or blogs or website or stamp exhibit is not true.

It's all about make money.

Some dealer will make it, Some stamp collector will exhibit and some author will write about it.

Now a days stamp collection is not a hobby but a big SCAM or GAME to make money.

Nepal Mount Everest stamps label - Tibet China Base Cancel 1924

Recently one of the deadliest avalanches ever to occur on Mount Everest killed 16 sherpas.

My deep and sincere condolences to all the families, friends and teammates of the fallen Sherpa in last week avalanche on Mount Everest that killed Nepali Sherpa's.

After reading about money they make by taking all the risks and compensation they get as insurance in case of death is very very minimum.

I think they should stop helping foreign climbers and start making philatelic material instead of taking risk. More money is involved in philatelic than being Everest guide.

We know it's just required old postcard or stamp and rubber stamp to make a great philatelic material. Also we know how easy is to make rubber stamp.

In past I had seen FORGERY of this kind of activity in First Aerail Post 1911 Allahabad, Gandhi 1948 SERVICE stamps,1930 Round Table Conference, Gandhi Boycott Label and other British India stamps.

Sometimes it don't even exist and collector make it FAKE. (No forgery needed as it was not even exist, complete BOGUS, create what ever you want and how you want and what you want on it) like 2009 Germany FAKE Cancellation created to spread non-violence on occasion of School shooting in Winneden Germany.

Look at the following screenshot and see the quantity available for Mount Everest Tibet 1924 philatelic material with rubber stamp.

I don't think genuine at all because climber main goal to climb the summit not to make mail.!!

No one has time to do this kind of activity in 1924 and in that freezed condition (almost unlivable) and do you think someone mountainer will go and do this kind of thing.!!

Usually there is one type of cancellation but here we see multiple cancellation as if in 1924 Tibet has lot of stamp collectors or stamp collectors were climbing mount Everest.!!

Making money on internet is so easy that some times I wonder why future work force needs to study and work very hard.

I think they can just start making money by just printing stamps or labels and start selling on internet. 

Don't you think it's easy to print label using Digital Print Solutions which can print anything you ever imagine of including US dollars or rare stamps or imperf stamps etc, so this India Gandhi Patriotic and Boycott labels are very easy to print.

You can make $3000 just by printing this label (like IMPERF stamps) and sell it. No question asked.!! 

Also no government or corporate owns this so don't need to worry about forgeries or lawsuit etc.

Also you don't need high tech digital or inkjet printers because this are old labels during Mahatma Gandhi India Gandhi Patriotic And Boycott times so who cares even it is is improper.!!

3) Make clear cancellation postmark(clear date, clear city etc)  using forged rubber stamp after typing (invest in buying one typewriter) or writing address on it. 

4) Start selling on internet.

Now in order to make money on internet do following so you can make more money by increasing price

5) Open multiple account (you don't have to pay to open account ) and start Shill bidding on it ( So you can increase price and make more money.!!)

6) Use another id and do more Shill bidding (so you  can show there are lot of collectors interest) and also write FAKE feedback even transaction is not complete.!!

7) If no buyer other than you  than cancel transaction by opening case of non paying buyer, so you don't have to pay eBay Commission.!! (cheat eBay shareholder also for using FAKE transaction.!!)

Then what if it don't sell or your shill bidding id wins

8) List again (you don't have to pay unless it sold and get money from seller).

9) Do same steps 5-7 again,  but little lower shill bidding.!!

10) And wait for some one to buy it.!!

Then what if still not sold

11) Wait for another 5-6 months and do step 1-10 again.!!!

12)  Also list as "with expertise certification" by forging stamp Expertising certification of famous philatelic society or reuse (photoshop) of some original certificate.!!

13) Send your used cover to philatelic handbook author so it will be published in their Gandhi collection yearbook or handbook, which will make it authentic material and there will be interest in buying it.

14) Exhibit your forgery collection online such as topicalphilately  or japhila  or write in stamp forum or stamp boards or blog so new collector will try to get some idea what to buy (collect) as they think this are genuine philatelic material (because new collector don't know).!!

15) Participate in stamp exhibition or let friend (team work) and win medal with forgery material.!! Philatelic Judges don't want to confront with famous collector as they might not know whether it's genuine or fake and will trust that famous collector. 

So what do you think ?

Do you need to study hard or work hard in order to make money.?

I don't think so.!!

But if you want to buy this you need to study hard and work hard to make money so you can buy it.!!

What is Personalised stamp?

As name indicate it is personal stamp which anyone can make it " Create your own stamp". This is offered by some of the countries like USA, UK, Belgium, Iran, Nederland etc. Some countries allow label(e.g UK) with there stamp and others allow stamp directly(e.g. Netherlands,USA)

It is also called Customized postage or Mystamp  or Smilers

Why Personalised stamp?
This stamp is for fun to celebrate certain special event or function in someone's family such as birthday, marriage, new arrival etc.

Why Gandhi Personalised stamp?
To make MONEY.!! As there is not enough Gandhi philatelic material to collect when you compare to other thematic collection such as birds/flowers/animals/sports etc so now a days individuals are coming up with a great new idea of making personalised stamp of Gandhi and creating different postal material such as FDC, used covers etc

What is philatelic value of thie personalised stamp?
Nothing.!! ( This is just my opinion). According to me there is no limit of this personalised stamps. If there is huge demand of that stamp than it can be reprinted. Also there is no authority to control this so in future I can also print it with any topic related to Gandhi. This is like making a rubber stamp.!!

In past stamp dealer were printing out stamps from smaller countries and flooded the market, now everyone can print there own stamps.!!

Also sometimes dealers/collectors/seller this stamps as a STAMP instead of personalised stamp, customized stamp, mystamp or smilers.!! Following is example of Gandhi stamp from Austria which was for sale for $100 and then $75!!

What are other possibilites of this personalised stamps?
There are chances that in future someone will come up with some offending stamps with Gandhi pictures or his principles which he follow throughout his life.

This personalised stamp is very easy to make. Just go to any countries postal service website and see whether they are offering service to Create your own stamp. If they than just click the link, upload any free Gandhi picture and write anything on it and order it by paying and than start selling on ebay or delcampe and you will make 3 to 5 times profit.

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

Gandhi Specimen Stamp : Is it real or !!

Hello Gandhi Stamp Collectors,

A specimen stamp is a postage stamp or postal stationery indicium sent to postmasters and postal administrations so that they are able to identify valid stamps and to avoid forgeries. The usual method of invalidating the stamps is either overprinting in ink or perforating the word Specimen across the stamp. (From Wikipedia)

Not sure how postmaster or postal administrators will validate stamp or identify forgery using following Specimen stamp with all kind of missing information such as issuing country, value of stamp etc....!!!

Do you think you can validate stamp using following Specimen stamp.?

When I saw above Gandhi Specimen stamp I was surprised because it has no country name, no value of stamp and even looks like specimen is printed on the stamp instead of overprinting or perforating.!!

I have following questions for this Specimen Stamp before we can consider this a Genuine stamp as well as Specimen stamp.

 If anyone has more info then please let me know so I can add to this blog post so it will be helpful for all gandhi stamp collectors.

1) Is this a real stamp or just a label.?
2) If real stamp (SPECIMEN) then how it is available in blocks or sheets.!! ? Not sure whether they were sending one stamp or whole sheet to postmasters.!!?
3) Is this error stamp? ( missing lot of printing before it is made SPECIMEN)?
4) Which country issued this stamp? (Only Great Britain don't have country name on the stamp).
5) What is face value of this stamp ? (no info at all!!)
6) Which year it was issued or government planning to issue this stamp?
7) If stamp was officially printed but not issued then how it is available to general public? (Don't you think it should be government property)

Currently 59 stamps is selling on ebay for $7000 - 9900!!

Will you pay this amount to add this in collection.!!?

Ashoka Watermark paper means this stamp should be printed in INDIA ?

Is this official usage of Emblem of India on stamp sheet paper ?

What is Gandhi Boycott Label.?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

The Swadeshi movement, part of the Indian independence movement, was a successful economic strategy to remove the British Empire from power and improve economic conditions in India through following principles of swadeshi (self-sufficiency). Strategies of the swadeshi movement involved boycotting British products and the revival of domestic-made products and production techniques.


Swadeshi Movement emanated from the partition of Bengal, 1905 and continued up to 1908. It was the most successful of the pre-Gandhian movements. Chief architects were Aurobindo Ghosh, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bipin Chandra Pal and Lala Lajpat Rai. Swadeshi, as a strategy, was a key focus of Mahatma Gandhi who described it as the soul of Swaraj (self rule). However there is no corroborative evidence to support that Swadeshi was successful at punishing the British.


I don't have this Gandhi label because it never appealed me to add in my collection as I think it can be printed any time as there are no law to prevent this from reprinting and also no authority to monitor this as it is a LABEL.!!

So I am not sure why collectors are buying it for 5-15$. Sometimes it goes upto 50+ dollars.!!!



I think it will be very hard to find original as it has been almost 80+ years and during that time it's main purpose was to use it on mail to oppose British and spread the message. Also there were very less collector during that time and also paper quality & local printing quality cannot sustain weather and all other condition required to keep this kind of material in good condition. Another thing is that people were even afraid to keep this kind of label with them as they were feared from Britisher.!!


Recently this kind of label was sold for $41 and only single bidder for this item. Don't know why paying $41 for this PIECE OF PAPER.

Also one more thing I noticed is initial starting price of auction was $41.!!! Not sure why so high.!!

If it is high price than seller has no confidence about his item.!! but this will stop shill bidding.!!

My advice will be stay away from this PIECE OF PAPER or Label or Cinderella.!!!

Or look for some genuine seller who will mention that this is Cindrella and price will be cheap. Following screen shot is from ebay where seller mentioned about this and selling under 6-7$.

BTW:- There are some more available which does not make sense to add in collection. so avoid Gandhi label all together. Genuine label are very rare and REPRINT are available same way like Azad HIND Fauj.
