Personalised stamp - Customized Postage - Mystamp - Smilers

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

What is Personalised stamp?

As name indicate it is personal stamp which anyone can make it " Create your own stamp". This is offered by some of the countries like USA, UK, Belgium, Iran, Nederland etc. Some countries allow label(e.g UK) with there stamp and others allow stamp directly(e.g. Netherlands,USA)

It is also called Customized postage or Mystamp  or Smilers

Why Personalised stamp?
This stamp is for fun to celebrate certain special event or function in someone's family such as birthday, marriage, new arrival etc.

Why Gandhi Personalised stamp?
To make MONEY.!! As there is not enough Gandhi philatelic material to collect when you compare to other thematic collection such as birds/flowers/animals/sports etc so now a days individuals are coming up with a great new idea of making personalised stamp of Gandhi and creating different postal material such as FDC, used covers etc

What is philatelic value of thie personalised stamp?
Nothing.!! ( This is just my opinion). According to me there is no limit of this personalised stamps. If there is huge demand of that stamp than it can be reprinted. Also there is no authority to control this so in future I can also print it with any topic related to Gandhi. This is like making a rubber stamp.!!

In past stamp dealer were printing out stamps from smaller countries and flooded the market, now everyone can print there own stamps.!!

Also sometimes dealers/collectors/seller this stamps as a STAMP instead of personalised stamp, customized stamp, mystamp or smilers.!! Following is example of Gandhi stamp from Austria which was for sale for $100 and then $75!!

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/03/gandhi-stamps-austria-osterreich-gandhi.html

What are other possibilites of this personalised stamps?
There are chances that in future someone will come up with some offending stamps with Gandhi pictures or his principles which he follow throughout his life.

Recently I read article that someone in USA came up with stamp of HINDU GOD and which is offending to all Hindu people around the world and there is no way to stop them.!! You can check following link for this article.

http://www.zeenews.com/news600754.html

Now it's upto collector to decide what they want to collect and what they do want to do with their collection. Also it's upto collector to decide how much value is in collecting personalised stamps or customized stamps or smilers or mystamp.

Following are some of the personalised stamp and FDC. I don't own any of those.
Gandhi Personalised sheet from England which is called as SMILERS is selling for 100+ dollars.

Smilers are not direct stamps but you can add your photo to another stamps.

Following is 6 Gandhi Personalised stamp from Iran which is selling around 10+ US dollars.
Following is FDC of personalised stamp from Australia which mentioned about Gandhi's Death Anniversary but the postmark date is incorrect and selling for about 10+ US dollars.

This personalised stamp is very easy to make. Just go to any countries postal service website and see whether they are offering service to Create your own stamp. If they than just click the link, upload any free Gandhi picture and write anything on it and order it by paying and than start selling on ebay or delcampe and you will make 3 to 5 times profit.

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!!

Azad Hind Stamps : Is it Genuine or Forgery ? Is it Stamp or Cinderella ?

Hello Gandhi Stamp Collector,

Azad Hind is a Cinderella stamps and not issued by British India in 1943 but still has Annas (Indian Money) stamps from Germany.!!

Currently only reprinted or Forgery are available in market as there will be very rare original Cinderella stamp available.

This stamps were produced by Germany in 1943 for Subhas Chandra Bose who was a another great leader of India and it has nothing to do with Mahatma Gandhi but it's there.!! Ofcourse it has to do with freedom struggle of India but not on Mahatma Gandhi's Principle.

This is same way like we are seeing Gandhi Boycott label little bit more authentic as it was produce with approval of German Government during that time.

There will we very few original printed Cinderella stamp/label will be available so guess what forgery of Cinderella is also available.!!

We can understand forgery of 10 Rupees Gandhi Stamps from India but forgery of Azad hind label which has nothing to do with Gandhi is also Forged.

Following are some of the Azad Hind label available on eBay Germany.

Above screenshot indicates it cost between $12-18 and according to me it's too much if you really wants to collect this kind of Cindrella reprinted stamps because it's very hard to get Genuine Cinderella stamps so forgery will be there.

Some times you will see this Azad Hind stamps selling for unbelievable price also.!!

So beware of this.

We had seen this in  Gandhi stamp collection, were everyone think they are smarter than other.!!! Do you think this apply to other BRITISH INDIA stamp also.

Click one of the following link and you will become smarter.!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.

Davaar Island Local Post - Gold foil stamp

 Hello Gandhi Collectors,

"Sanda and Davaar are small islands off Kintyre at the south west side of Scotland.  The islands are uninhabited apart from Lighthousemen--and I hasten to confirm that the 'Local Carriage Labels' are of no postal use whatsoever.

It is a complete racket and there is absolutely no postal justification whatsoever, for their use.  I regret that there is no such thing as a postally used cover." David C. Jefferies  ( Read and see more @ http://www.sossi.org/local/davaar.htm)

Recently 6 Gold foil (cannot be consider as stamp) because it's a foil!!(not even piece of paper!!) were sold under $4.!!

But good way to make money.!!

But recently I was surprised when I saw a seller "phil-centre" from UK is selling this Davar Island local post Gandhi Gold stamp foil for $106!!!

Yes $106 for 7 gold foil.!!

This piece of foil (stamps) which are not valid. It's like a label or Cinderellas so anyone can print it.!!

We are seen lot of forgeries of original stamps of India such as King George, King Edward and 1948 Gandhi stamps from India so this is a safe bet to make it completely FAKE.!!

If you want to make it UNIQUE or RARE collection then you can have it in your collection, but it will be completely UNIQUE-RARE.!!

This is a best way to make money.!!

Even you will see F.D.C of this stamps.!!

It's just require a printed cover and rubber stamp with circular date stamp.!!!

Who cares it's official or just FAKE.!!

Why worry about date!! Just copy what you see on other cover and that's your First Day of Issue.

So beware of this kind of ridiculous pricing other wise you will regret buying this kind of not valid stamp.

Thanks

Gandhi Boycott Label - Gandhi Boycott British Goods Label - Do you really need this kind of Gandhi Cinderella label?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Recently I saw 2 Gandhi Boycott British Goods Label sold for $17.!! I think this is too much for this kind of label as this are not 80+ years old.!! It is just printed recently and dealers are trying to make money out of it.

You can read my other blog post about Boycott Label which will explain in detail about this.

Seller : Collstamps
Buyer : akhilesh_1983

Following screenshot will show you how much currently seller are asking for this kind of Cinderella material which can be printed any time and any body without worry about any forgery.!! Because it's label and it's Cinderella label (not stamp!!).

So beware before you jump into this.

I almost bought this 2 years ago, but when I saw some suspicious bidding activity and seller recent and past activities I cancel this deal so I think I was lucky at that time.

Now I will not even buy it for $1 as it will take my album space, as this label don't justify any significant philatelic value.

Again thanks for reading and  Please share your thoughts in the comments section.

Thanks
Ketankumar Patel.

What is Gandhi Boycott Label.?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

The Swadeshi movement, part of the Indian independence movement, was a successful economic strategy to remove the British Empire from power and improve economic conditions in India through following principles of swadeshi (self-sufficiency). Strategies of the swadeshi movement involved boycotting British products and the revival of domestic-made products and production techniques.

Swadeshi Movement emanated from the partition of Bengal, 1905 and continued up to 1908. It was the most successful of the pre-Gandhian movements. Chief architects were Aurobindo Ghosh, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bipin Chandra Pal and Lala Lajpat Rai. Swadeshi, as a strategy, was a key focus of Mahatma Gandhi who described it as the soul of Swaraj (self rule). However there is no corroborative evidence to support that Swadeshi was successful at punishing the British.

I don't have this Gandhi label because it never appealed me to add in my collection as I think it can be printed any time as there are no law to prevent this from reprinting and also no authority to monitor this as it is a LABEL.!!

So I am not sure why collectors are buying it for 5-15$. Sometimes it goes upto 50+ dollars.!!!

I think it will be very hard to find original as it has been almost 80+ years and during that time it's main purpose was to use it on mail to oppose British and spread the message. Also there were very less collector during that time and also paper quality & local printing quality cannot sustain weather and all other condition required to keep this kind of material in good condition. Another thing is that people were even afraid to keep this kind of label with them as they were feared from Britisher.!!

Recently this kind of label was sold for $41 and only single bidder for this item. Don't know why paying $41 for this PIECE OF PAPER.

Also one more thing I noticed is initial starting price of auction was $41.!!! Not sure why so high.!!

If it is high price than seller has no confidence about his item.!! but this will stop shill bidding.!!

Seller: London-stamps from UK.
Buyer: Coolblue1955 from India
Sale: $41
Date: 4/17/2011

My advice will be stay away from this PIECE OF PAPER or Label or Cinderella.!!!

Or look for some genuine seller who will mention that this is Cindrella and price will be cheap. Following screen shot is from ebay where seller mentioned about this and selling under 6-7$.

If you have any more information than please write a comment so everyone can read it.

Thanks
Gandhi Stamps Club

BTW:- There are some more available which does not make sense to add in collection. so avoid Gandhi label all together. Genuine label are very rare and REPRINT are available same way like Azad HIND Fauj.

Read and compare my following blog post about  BOGUS FORGED Gandhi stamps and philatelic cancellation with rubber stamp applied on piece of paper or envelope and trying to MAKE huge money instead of selling just MINT stamps or making BOGUS or Forgery philatelic material, which are sold from $100 -$1000. Also some are selling for more than $15000+!!!
