Recently I saw 1948 Gandhi Maxi Card sold $1025.!! by "iphilately2008". It's still lot of money if you compare it's original value of stamps.
But 3 years ago I saw this maxi card sold for $5105 !!
So looks like stamp value is going down ?
Don't you think so. ?
But according to me this $1025 is also very high because there are lot of chances of forgery when lot of money is involved.
Not only forgery maxi card but also forgery stamps as well as special cancellation.!!
Also do you think eBay Shareholders are also CHEATED by this kind of high stamp value pricing, eBay will not get commission if buyer don't pay or seller cancel transaction.!!
But there is also forgery in auction bidding.!!
In order to increase price there is lot of shill bidding (seller use other id or friends will bid ) as well as FAKE bidding in which buyer don't pay seller.

This $5105 maxi-card was sold by eBay seller "wiwauctions" and bought by "hitlerandgandhi". Do you think eBay got commission from this transaction or it's a FAKE bidding ?
So now you decide it's stamp value going down or it's does not makes sense to collect Gandhi Philately material.
Compare Maxi Card cancellation with following other FORGERY special cancellation or rubber stamp and you decide what you are collecting.!!
Compare above four cancellation from BOMBAY and check for # of lines, types of lines in center of special cancellation. (some has 7 and some has 8 and some don't make sense.!!)
