GREAT BRITAIN - 1847-54 1s green QV EMBOSSED ISSUE SG#54 IMPERF stamps

Recently I saw GREAT BRITAIN - 1847-54 1s green QV EMBOSSED ISSUE SG#54 2V PAIR USED IMPERF stamps selling on Ebay from "scindedawk" seller for $999.

Is stamp collection still exist?

Do you think any of my blog post will apply to this stamps.

1854 QUEEN VICTORIA STAMPS : Forgery in Indian stamps & Gandhi Boycott Label

INDIAN PHILATELY EXPOSED !!

King Edward stamps forgery

By the way Scindedawk is selling 12000+ stamps or philately material from USA or India.

Don't know who will buy all this!!

Are there any new stamp collector coming to this hobby?

On top of that all you still have to pay captial gain tax and income tax, state tax etc.

Don't know which country the tax is paid such as income tax or capital gain tax or whatever.

Similar is the case who knows seller from physical auction site where Gandhi stamp was sold for 500000 pounds.

Do you think all this is REAL?

Thanks

Penny Black - GB 1840 stamps of Queen Victoria - QV stamp

Recently I saw  Penny Black - GB 1840 stamps of Queen Victoria - QV stamp sold for $7100 by eBay seller "collectstamps" from UK.

But stamp location is USA.!!

USA or UK ?

If it is bought by UK buyer then he/she don't have to pay VAT.!!!

Also not sure how Capital Gain Tax rules will apply.!!

Now if you look at there were 61 bids for this auction from 15 bidders.!!

Also it was sold 1/4 price of catalog value.!!

But what are chance of this stamp as FORGERY ?

What are chance of this  SHILL bidding or FAKE bidding were buyer  wins auction and don't pay.

What are chance of increasing the price were bidders increase price so there stamp collection price increases.

What are chance of SHILL bidding where some relatives or philatelic friends or with buyer's other id bidded on this item to increase price or might win the auction.

What are chance of seller cancelling the eBay transaction ?

Do anyone collect stamps ?

Thanks
GSC.

GB Great Britain Mint Stamps - FORGERY stamps selling as Genuine ?

Are REPLICA or FACSIMILE selling as genuine.?

In last 90 days eBay seller "mint.stamps" sold GB Great Britain Mint Stamps for more than $100,000 from 50-60 auction.!!

Do you think eBay seller "mint.stamps" got $100,000 from buyer ?

Do you think eBay got commission on this transactions ?  If eBay got commission it will be $10,000.

Did UK and USA got Capital Gain TAX from this transaction ?

Yes seller is selling from  two countries so Capital Gain TAX, VAT, State Tax etc for USA and UK.

In past I wrote about Great Britain - GB stamp collection - CHEATING in stamp collection ? Click to read so you know what's going in stamp collection.

Do you really think this are  genuine transactions ?

Are stamp collectors paying $100000 for this kind of Mint stamps from Great Britain. ?

Do you really think UK government is getting Capital Gain Tax, VAT and other taxes from this transaction ? If yes then it will be around $20,000 to 30,000.

Do you really think eBay got it's share (commission) from this transaction.? If yes then it will be $10,000.!!

I don't think so.

But to me it looks nothing but following.

How to increase price of stamps ?

How to show there is still interest in stamp collection ?

How to do SHILL bidding ?

How to use eBay infrastructure without paying eBay.

In past we had seen this all in Gandhi stamps, King Edward 1902 stamps and other stamp. Click following link to see it.

So what do you think ?

Do you think it's all BOGUS transaction which are nothing but to glorify stamps ?

I don't think eBay got Commission because seller might not paid to buyer .!!

So seller cancel transaction and don't pay commission to eBay.!!

So seller don't have to pay any Capital Gain TAX.!!

Or VAT.!!

But can some one sell from two countries under same eBay account  in order to save TAX such as VAT etc.!!

IT'S ALL BOGUS.!!

Thanks
GSC.

Great Britain - GB stamp collection - CHEATING in stamp collection ?

Recently I saw Great Britain stamp collection (Mint stamps) sold by eBay UK seller "mint.stamps" since 2003 and item location in USA on January 31 for $5628.

Same Great Britain stamp collection was sold  by eBay UK seller "collectstamps" since 2012 and item location in USA on November 22 for $6225.

Do you think it's REAL GENUINE transaction ?

This means eBay got commission from both of them.!!

Also one is going to pay Capital Gain tax and other is taking loss on Capital Gain Tax (short term) on collectibles.!

Do you BELIEVE that some one will sell this fast after buying it and taking loss ? ($1200+ including commission to eBay ).

But not sure which country will get CAPITAL GAIN tax. USA or UK ?

Reason for this is seller is from UK but item location is USA ?

My guess is about VAT or Capital Gain tax or who knows.!!

Do you think both eBay id are of same sellers. "mint.stamps" and "collectstamps".

Chances are very high. ( My opinion is yes, but you don't have to believe)

So it's nothing but canceling the eBay transaction so don't have to pay commission which is about 10% of selling price which will be around US 1100$.

Look at catalog value of Great Britain stamps from GB, Canada, FAlkland Islands as per seller.!!

$119,800.!!

And selling for $6000.!!

Recently seller was selling Saudi Arabia ARAMCO used cover for 2nd time .!!

Not sure why but it was for sale again for $999,99 (one hundred thousand US dollars.!!)

This is common practice in Gandhi stamp collection were stamps are sold multiple times by same seller or with different id.!!

So what do you think about this transaction?

Is it GENUINE ?

or CHEATING ?

My personal opinion (you don't have to believe me, but you can think) it's CHEATING .!!

Reason for CHEATING in Great Britain stamp collection.
  • This happen in Gandhi stamps all the time, to increase price by SHILL bidding or by FAKE bidding to increase price and not paying to seller.
  • Who is going to take loss of $1200 in 3 months.! (including commission to eBay).
  • Seller is based in UK and item location in USA.
According to me no one is getting money from this.!!

This is only FALSE hope of riches to increase price and show there is still interest in stamp collection.!!

But according to me there is no interest in stamp collection  as it's DYING hobby.

I can even say it's an OBSOLETE hobby.

Thanks
GSC.

BTW: Read my 2011  blog post and it same method is used to CHEAT.!!

What is Gandhi Stamp Value ? Does it make sense to Invest in Gandhi stamps.!!

We all know how price are increased on eBay.

1) SHILL bidding
2) Not paying to seller
3) Selling with different accounts.

Now let's research about Gandhi Stamp Value.

I know you all might have following Gandhi stamps in your collection but this is blog post is for future new Gandhi collectors.

Above 12 stamps are very colorful from 9 different countries which are Brazil, Hungary, Chile, Tanzania, Guyana, Senegal , Morocco, Nevis & Ireland. Most of this stamps were issued in 1969 which is almost 40+ years.

But all this stamps were UNSOLD for $12 and now it for resale again at $13.!!!   Look at following screen shot of this Gandhi stamp value and it's amazing that same stamps are sold by 2 different sellers.!!

As I mentioned before that you can find MNH Gandhi Stamps any time as there are NO RARE stamps. It is made RARE by certain dealers who try to profit out of it.

So who ever bought this stamps 40 years ago and preserve this very nicely in album can't sell for $12 from 9 different countries.

In past we saw GANDHI DU CAMEROUN 2 STAMP 1969  sold for $2-3,  Gandhi SOMALIA 3 STAMPS 1969 sold for $3-4  and GANDHI SYRIAN TWO STAMPS 1969 sold for $1-2.

As I mentioned in my previous blog posts that Gandhi stamps are not for Investment. Now it's up to you to think whether Gandhi stamps make sense for Investment.!!!

You can also read my another blog post about Mahatma Gandhi Stamp - Is it for Investment ?

I know by writing this kind of information I am decreasing my own collection value, but it's OK to let other's new emerging  collectors what is True value of Gandhi  Stamp Collection instead of just using other technique to increase the prices.!!

Another example of same philatelic material sold by 2 different id.  Sellers are "sanu108" and "405940"

Following 3 covers from Suriname, Zambia and Costa Rica were on auction by 2 different sellers.!!!

Also Covers from Zambia and Costa Rica needs more research because CDS is unclear and not sure about postage rates at that time. So stay away from any Gandhi USED covers as it's a big scam going on.!!!

But looking all screen shot it looks like all  3 sellers id's is from same ebay seller.!!

"10saki88" , "sanu108" and  "405940" .!!

And might be more.!!

I hope you got my point.

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

Great Britain First Day Cover : Looks like people living on stamp ?

Great Britain was pioneer in defining stamps and this makes them pioneer in stamps collection also.

So there are lot of Great Britain stamps and Great Britain First Day Cover.

But stamp collection is declining like no one ever think about it which makes Great Britain First Day cover almost worthless.

In past I wrote blog post about Great Britain First Day Covers. Please read it and understand the pricing about it so it helps to know what's going on.

We all know that stamp collectors turned into dealers (small or big) are making their living or going on big vacation or spending money as it grows on tree.

But "money don't grow on tree", but it's accumulated through all illegal ways.!!

In stamp collection selling money is accumulated by small time or big dealers through

1) Shill Bidding
2) Buyer don't pay to seller
3) Seller show image of genuine item and sends you forgery items.

Recently I saw Great Britain First Day cover of Gandhi which was sold around $20 and I was surprised by this selling price so I decided let's see what's going on. ( I paid more than this for same cover from same seller.!!)

Seller : brianreeveauctions from Great Britain. ( In past I bought same FDC from him for high price)
buyer : b***e(3261) ---------------> bem240243

In past I bought same FDC from him for high  price.

Following is the bidding details.

Winner : b**e(3261). Click this link to see his detail bidding.

And you will see he is bidding on 346 auction and 891 bids in last 30 days.!!

Stamp collector don't spend this money or don't bid on this many auction.!!

So don't you think this is not a stamp collector but makes living on stamp by bidding it and buying it.!!

http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=371038750449&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565

So as a curious I decided to use eBay search for bidders and  found out in past 30 days he has won 144 auction also.!!

Lot of money is spend on stamp collection.

Do you think it's all are genuine transaction.?

Stamp collector don't spend this money or don't bid on this many auction.!!

So don't you think this is not a stamp collector but makes living on stamp by bidding it and buying it.!!

No it's up to you to decide when you buy stamps or First Day Covers because some one is making living by selling and buying stamps.!!

Someone made living on my money by using one of the following way, so make sure your money stays with you and you spend it.

1) Shill Bidding
2) Buyer don't pay to seller
3) Seller show image of genuine item and sends you forgery items.

It's not stamp collectors who are buying all the time. !!

So BEWARE about stamp Collection.!!

Other wise someone will be living on your money and your kids might have just piece of paper.!!

STAMP COLLECTING VALUES : STAMPS WORTH - Stamps Investment

This blog post is to bring AWARENESS to new or  long time stamp collector about Stamp Collecting Values or How much is my Stamps Worth or Stamp Investment makes sense in today's world.

We all are always thinking about stamp worth because we put lot of effort in it as a hobby, but hobbies don't last for ever.

Same is the case for stamp collection and what I notice in last 4+ years that it's value is declining like great depression, and chances are it will never come back because there is lot of other things to do as time has changed and communication method is also changed so no one even use stamps what was daily part of life.

If you are thinking about STAMP COLLECTING VALUES  or  STAMPS WORTH then you are in big trouble because you might get in depression. There is not value in Stamps Investment as no body collect it.!!

If you see 20 years ago there was no computers, no internet, no video games , no Facebook, no google search and limited amount of reading material available. Also at that people don't have money so no more going out to eat or vacation to see different places so there was lot of extra time for stamp collecting hobby, but now you don't have enough time for hobby.

As there are only 24 hours in a day and 365 days in a year there is no way you can accomplish all this things and have time for hobby.!!

So your new hobby is facebook or video games or surfing the web  for daily activity other than going to school or work and during weekend go out to eat and see movie and during long weekend or school vacation travel to different places.!!

Now look at the following screenshot from eBay.

1969 Great Britain Gandhi stamp sheet of 120 stamps was sold for $9 which will be 7 cents per stamp.!!

After 45 years it's value is not appreciating and if you count all inflation and investment and storage of stamps it is losing value.( also needs to pay for shipping, handling and eBay and PayPal fees.!!)

Now don't you think it's a sign of great depression in Stamp collecting if you look at it's value.

But you might see lot of HIGH price in stamps which are nothing but GLORIFICATION of stamps by

1) Increasing price by SHILL Bidding
2) Not paying to seller after winning so it increase price
3) FORGERY and FAKE items are even selling at high price
4) Even expertising certificate are FORGED.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!! or even Collecting.!!!

Do you think it's INVESTMENT or GAME.!!

I think it's not for Investment but it's a Philatelic GAME.!!

So let's see how to play  Philatelic Game.!! (click to read how to, rules and regulations.!!)

After reading above links what do you think of  STAMP COLLECTING VALUES : STAMPS WORTH - Stamps Investment ?

RPS certificate - Royal Philatelic Society Certificate of Great Britain stamps

Recently I saw 1969 Great Britain Gandhi stamp printed on Gum side sold for $2225 on eBay  by seller from Great Britain "capital-collectables".

It also has stamp Expertization certificate from "The Royal Philatelic Society" or RPS certificate # 212225 issued on 30 May 2012 submitted by "M. Dave"

Lot of money for eBay/PayPal as they will get huge commission on this sale. (about $200).!! Do you really think eBay got commission on this sale.?

In past I wrote about STUDY OF RPS certificate were I discussed about FORGERY of expertizing certificates.

After reading above blog post what do you think about following RPS expertising certificate # 212225 issued on 30 May 2012.

Do you really think Gandhi Unmounted Mint Gummed side with RPS Certificate submitted by "M. Dave" and Capital-collectables is really worth $2225.?

So if there was one sheet printed on gum side there might be 120 stamps (per sheet) were printed on gum side and  some of them still has house to stay.

So one sheet will be worth around $267,000.!!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GANDHI-UNMOUNTED-MINT-PRINTED-GUMMED-SIDE-RPS-CERT-Cat-1500-/231166581517

You need to see connection in this sale.

Seller : Capital-collectables (UK)
Expert Certificate submitted by : M. Dave
Buyer : d***1(302) (our famous hitlergandhi)

But if you see stamp hobby is declining and no one collect stamps. Recently this regular sheet was sold for $15 as well as for $28.!!

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/10/gandhi-centenary-great-britain-stamp.html

In past I wrote about used postcard with Great Britain Gandhi Stamps printed on gum side.

So what this will be worth ? (of course there is no RPS cert) as I  bought it without RPS certificate on eBay without it.

Of course there are forgery RPS certificate are also available. Like we saw for 1948 Gandhi SERVICE stamps or India Bird Error stamps so any thing is possible.

So what do you think about this pricing ? Did it really sold for $2225.!!

Of course on eBay you can see it as sold but it's not always true, because chances of SHILL bidding, buyer don't pay to seller or seller cancel the transaction after completion in order to increase price so it's glorified.

So think what you buy at what price otherwise you will ?

Thanks

Commonwealth Day stamps - Colonial stamps

In 1983 United Kingdom issued Commonwealth stamp Colonial stamps to celebrate Commonwealth Day. All British Colonial countries  issued stamp

Four stamps were issued with 4 different special cancellation and one of the special cancellation  was dedicated to honor Mahatma Gandhi.

Four stamps were

Atlantic Salmon, 15 1/2p
Northern Pike, 19 1/2p
Brown Trout, 26p
Eurasion Perch, 29p

But what surprise me that FDC with all 4 stamps are selling below 90 pence.!!

Recently Commonwealth Day stamps - Colonial stamps FDC with all four stamps were sold for 0.25 GBP.!!

Loss of 300% in 31 years.!! So after 31 years it's value is not appreciating at all.!!

Do you think you still want to collect stamps.!!

Even Presentation Pack Commonwealth Day is not selling for more than one GBP.!!

Even Gandhi special cancellation is not helping.!!!

On Jan 13 it GB stamps first day cover 1983 commonwealth Gandhi collection was sold for 1.74 GBP.!!

Reason for this low price is that no one collects stamps.!!

But also lot of FORGERY and SHILL bidding which is killing this hobby.!!

Want to know more about FAKE and FORGERY stamps then checkout other blog post click one of the following link and you will be surprised.!!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.

Postal History - Event Covers

"In philately, the term cover pertains to the outside of an envelope or package with an address, typically with postage stamps that have been cancelled and is a term generally used among stamp and postal history collectors. , , The term does not include the contents of the letter or package, although they may add interest to the item if still present. Cover collecting plays an important role in postal history as many covers bear stamps, postmarks and other markings along with names and addresses all of which help to place a cover at a given time and place in history, , Event covers are decorated, stamped and canceled commemorative envelopes. They are created to celebrate an event or note an anniversary. (From Wikipedia)"

Recently I was researching about postal history and event covers as philatelic material with USED stamps of Gandhi from various countries and I was surprised by selling price even after 40+ years.

This Gandhi stamps used on cover as event covers or postal history were selling from 0.01 cents to $3.!!

Can't believe it. Don't know why such a low pricing for used event  cover or postal history. Also it's not rare anymore from UK, Russia, Greece, India, USA and Germany.

Following are screenshot you can look in detail and understand type of cover, value of cover etc. This is only for reference so you can see what kind of covers are available and what's price you need to pay for event covers or postal history.

To me used cover does not make sense to pay high price as there are very large quantity available and because of that you can have wide variety in your postal history collection, but you don't have to pay high price for this kind of events cover or postal history covers.

Of course you will find unique varieties of this event covers as well as postal history covers, which will be unique but make sure you don't pay HIGH price

So what do you think about pricing of  this USED covers.

To me it's a genuine price when it's between 0.01 cents to $3.

You need to make sure about pricing when you buy this kind of used cover and if you see it's expensive then chance of forgery  or SHILL bidding is possible.

We had seen lot of forgery in USED cover also and very expensive by SHILL bidding or not paying to seller.!!

Read my blog post about following BOGUS FORGED Gandhi stamps and philatelic cancellation with rubber stamp applied on piece of paper or envelope and trying to MAKE huge money instead of selling just MINT stamps.!!

Germany FAKE Cancellation :

Mauritius Gandhi stamp used on Indian cover with Early zipcode usage even before zipcode was introduce:

Early Usage cover of 1948 Gandhi stamps :

Gandhi SERVICE stamp BOGUS usage :

F0RGERY of rubber stamp with Red ink.!!!
Chances of correct ink cover might be in Museum or selling on eBay!!

Above are all bogus RUBBER stamps (which never exist) or forgery which will help future collectors whether they really want to start collecting stamps and philately as postal history or event covers.!!

My personal opinion is that when any expensive philatelic item from India there are more chances of forgery. Also it's not only India philatelic material but any expensive postal history or event cover philatelic material.!!

Thanks
Gandhi Stamps Club.
