International Day of Non-Violence - Making money on eBay by selling stamps.

United Nations declared 2 October as The International Day of Non-Violence, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement and pioneer of the philosophy and strategy of non-violence.

But greedy collectors/dealers are making their living by selling BOGUS (never exist) Gandhi Philatelic material on this day.

So BEWARE if you are collecting special cancellation  on First Day of Cover or special event cover because it's very easy to make and start selling stamps on eBay.!
  • Make rubber stamp
  • Tell blog authors or weekly/monthly philatelic newsletter to publish that it's  this town is coming up with this cancellation
  • Write about it in stamps forum about this cancellation.
  • Send to some famous award winning stamp collectors/philatelist as gift so they will exhibit in their stamp exhibition or private display during some events.
  • Also send this cover with cancellation who helped  you to make it famous by advertising on their blog/newsletter.
  • Now start selling on eBay.
  • Increase price by SHILL bidding (Cancel bid if you win by complaining eBay that buyer did not pay, so you don't have to pay commission.)
  • Now send it to Handbook authors and Museum as gift so it's more famous.!!

Following is one of the example where some group of collectors from Germany/ India/UK/USA are making money by doing this kind of activity.

So beware what you read or see online or also in various philatelic magazine or even in philatelic museum.

This rubber stamp is currently selling for $60 on eBay seller "ashokmehta1955" from India and member since 2001.!!

Don't you think it's easy to make money on eBay by selling stamps.!!!

It's free to open account so you can open eBay account as many as you want, so BEWARE of it. It's a CARTEL working on this from different countries where they help each other to ship their philatelic gems.!!

Click following link if you want this Philatelic GEM of Gandhi for just $60 (3800 Indian Rupees).!!. It's still available so grab before it run's out of your hand.!!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Germany-2009-Gandhi-Cancel-Cover-Extremely-Rare-/110879169117?hash=item19d0e9da5d

It's lot of money even if you can sell one of this.!!

So avoid collecting rubber stamps on First Day Cover or Special events cover such as Birthday or Anniversary of Gandhi because it's nothing but forgery unless it's issued by government with proper proof.

Stamp Collectors/dealers will go to any extent to make money and they don't care of anybody's feelings. This BOGUS special cancellation was made on 2nd October, 2009 on occasion of international non-violence day as a protest against the massacre which took place on 11th March 2009 in Winnenden High School in which 16 students and teachers were killed.!!

I contacted local stamp collectors and philatelist, but no one in Winnenden knows about this special cancellation and they were all surprised that it was made to protest against massacre.!!

Just to make money they will find out any cause to justify  and make this Bogus cancellation!!

Now we all know that following is one of the classic BOGUS philatelic material made (not issued) on October 2nd from Winnenden Germany was issued in 2009 with Gandhi image and illegal use of Emblem of India.

Here 2 issues needs to take care of.

1) Illegal use of Emblem of India
2) Illegal use of Gandhi Image for forgery.

If you draw cartoon insulting Emblem of India then you will be arrested, but no one cares about this illegal use of India's Emblem.!!

If you are not aware of this BOGUS cancellation was made (not issued) on 2nd October to celebrate International Day of Non Violence then click following link to read about my investigation along with proof from Germany Postal department.

This Bogus rubber stamp cancellation cover (Extremely Rare) is still available on eBay seller "ashokmehta1955" for $60. Following is the link if you want to buy it.!!

If you sell some other forgery item such as Rolex watches or Burberry/Coach ladies purses then eBay will shutdown your store and also take legal action by blocking paypal account and all kind of legal issue, because this multinational companies want to stop this forgery item so their brand is not affected.

But in stamp collection, no one cares.!! So you can make forgery without any legal issue and still make your living by selling this kinds of extremely rare stamps philatelic material, which don't even cost more than $10 to make rubber stamp and just start applying it not only on envelope, but also to postal receipt or international reply coupon or letterhead or stamp used abroad etc.!!

Don't you think it's easy to make money by selling rare stamps cancellation !? I think so as maker of this cover did not spend more than $1 to make it and now asking for $60.!! (BTW : It came down from $100 selling price.!!)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Germany-2009-Gandhi-Cancel-Cover-Extremely-Rare-/110879169117?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19d0e9da5d
But while doing detail in-depth research on this special cancellation I was surprised when I saw same hand writing (now I am also hand writing verification expert) on different register cover from Patna, India send to same town in Germany.

So I am not sure whether this BOGUS special cancellation rubber stamp was made in Germany or made in Patna.?

Also you can compare hand writing in following image of register cover send from Patna to 71409, Schwaikheim and other words and alphabets.!!

According to my assumption, I think BOGUS philatelic material of Gandhi was made on October 2nd might be from Patna, because we can consider register cover with label on Taj Mahal stamp from India might be genuine, or same person might have written from both places.

Or might be from Schwaikhein, Germany who might have send hand written cover to Patna for register mail and mailed it from Patna, G.P.O post office.

To me it looks like there are multiple people(gang) are involved in this Bogus philatelic cover in multiple countries were one make this cover, some famous collector will glorify by exhibiting in stamp exhibition, and someone will sell it at very high price!!

Following is one more example and you can find lot more. Let me know if you need to see wide range as now I am also hand writing verified expert and I need to keep all that screenshot I see it on eBay or Delcampe auction site.!!

This are not rare stamps as you can see 4 covers are already mentioned here with different address of Winnenden & Schwaikhein in Germany and there is rubber stamp out there!!

Also not sure whether owner of this address know's that they received this kind of mail or  this was stolen from mailbox in Winnenden & Schwaikhein, or it's just write down any address near by and start selling such as we see all the time post to Prime Minister of Nepal or Prime Minster of India.!!

This BOGUS cancellation with illegal use of Emblem of India and Gandhi image issued from Winnenden to celebrate Non-Violence of Winnenden high school massacre which occurred on March 11th, 2009. Do you think it make sense to issue this kind of cancellation?

So what do you think about origin of this BOGUS rubber stamp?

Patna or Winnenden ?

Don't you think Gandhi Stamps Collection is suspense where world famous detective Sherlock Holmes will also get confused.!!

It's easy to make rubber stamp and claim it as unique material by even winning the medal.!!

Gandhi Jayanti - International Day of Non Violence or stamp collectors CHEATERS day.!!

Tomorrow is Mahatma Gandhi 145th Birthday. In India it is celebrated as "Gandhi Jayanti" and whole World referred October 2nd as The International Day of Non-Violence as per United Nations.

But BEWARE of CHEATING on this date from Gandhi Stamp Collectors/Dealers because it's very easy to make money by creating rubber stamp and call it as a special cancellation from unique city.

In past I EXPOSED this activity by writing following blog post, but this again to remind others who don't know.!!

FAKE Gandhi postmark cancel from Germany on 2nd October 2009 ???

Beware it's October 2nd.!!

In 2009 some Gandhi stamp collector decided to create rubber stamp and called it as Special Cancellation on October 2nd .

It was not approved by Postal Department of Germany or it was not authorized to used Emblem of India on rubber stamp by Indian Embassy in Germany (so it's punishable by law).

Following is the crown jewel of FAKE or BOGUS special cancellation issued on Gandhi Jayanti.!!

99% of Winnenden or Schwaikheim, Germany people might have not idea about Mahatma Gandhi's Birthday.!!

Not sure Barton Hoti or Carola Franzspock or Andrea Helsch really got this cover with special cancellation? (Identity theft or Bogus!)

Looks like same person(hand writing) is sending it to different names and address.!!

It's still available for $60 on eBay.!! Click following link to see it.!!

Germany-2009-Gandhi-Cancel-Cover-Extremely-Rare

It's easy to cheat by doing following and still create a big splash in stamp world.!!
  • Inform your philatelic friends and authors of various philatelic weekly news letter or philatelic magazine about upcoming special cancellation.
  • Create BOGUS philatelic material with rubber stamps on varieties of envelopes.
  • Send some of them your philatelic friends and also to authors of blogs, website, newsletter etc.
  • Now some of the philatelic friends will display this in their stamp exhibit and might win medals.!
  • Now start selling it on eBay with different id.
  • Shill bidding to increase price
  • Sell it at Fix price auction.
Don't you think it's simple.

Yes this was applied in 2009 Germany Winnenden special cancellation issued on October 2nd to celebrate Non -Violence day were there was High School shooting/massacare happens were 26 people died.

No shame to make money.!!
  • In 2009 during September/October time frame I read in weekly newsletter from India that Germany is issuing Special cancellation on  Mahatma Gandhi's birthday 2nd October to celebrate Non Violence Day.
  • Some of the my philatelic friends(not any more) got this special cancellation cover to their address.!
  • Some of the famous stamp collectors(philatelists) won medal with this BOGUS special cancellation.
  • It started selling on eBay (seller from India) at $100.
  • Some of them were also bought at that price.(FAKE buying, to show others!!)
As a new comer in stamp collection I thought this is insane and crazy. So I decided to dig more and found out that more by contacting various German official and  local philatelic club members through email and all of them reply that this is BOGUS.

  • It's not officially issued by Germany Postal department
  • None of the stamp collectors in Winnenden knew about this. ( I contacted local philatelic society)
  • Even local famous Gandhi Collectors don't know about this special cancellation even though address on this BOGUS cancellation on the covers were next to them.!!
It's plain and simple.!!

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

Beware of October 2nd.!!

This day is referred to in India as Gandhi Jayanti and it is very important date for all people around world who believes in Non Violence, Human Rights, Truth and all other Mahatma Gandhi's Principle.

There will be lot of prayers, peace walk, Mahatma Gandhi statue unveiling etc. all around the world to celebrate this date.

Stamp Collectors/dealers will go to any extent to make money and they don't care of anybody's feelings. stamp used abroad - India stamp

Hello Gandhi Stamps Collectors,

We all know that during British India rule around the world, some India stamps were used abroad. Used abroad stamp means that stamp is used from other countries then it is issued. Not sure all that used abroad was genuine and really used as postage from other countries as it's easy to forged rubber stamp as we had seen it from Tibet, Nepal, Maldives etc covers with fake rubber stamp on the cover and made it used abroad.

Recently I saw 1948 Gandhi stamp from India with 1.5 annas value was used from Arizona, USA on 2nd October 2012 on Mahatma Gandhi Birthday which is known as Gandhi Jayanti in India and International day of Non-Violence all around the world when United Nations declared in 2007.

Technically this is valid aerogramme because it has 43 cents postage on it. I think it's 1 cent less than the regular postage requirement of 44 cents in 2012. I think it might be overlooked by postal administration of Arizona or it may not be actually travelled through regular mail stream as it don't have barcode in front, but some times because of smaller size it can be missed.

It's legal to use other countries stamp if there is a valid postage on the envelope.

Ofcourse it looks unique and varities in your collection, but it's not appreciating all the work and looks like no interest in stamp it only sold for $10 for 2 covers.!! Also needs to research more in bidding details.!!

But all other used in Tibet and Nepal or any other countries are nothing but BOGUS and forgery as it was nothing but to make money out of it by making it DIFFERENT.!!

In past we saw following FORGED cancellation from India.

It looks like FAKE or Forged is a way to go in Indian Philately especially in British India, Indian Princely states and 1948 Gandhi Stamps as well as other Gandhi Philatelic material.!!

Following blog post will explain you that indeed that Indian Stamps and Philately (British India and 1948 Gandhi Stamps) needs to be examined before you even think about buying it.

Forgery in Indian Philately as well as 1854 Queen Victoria stamps.
Beware of First Aerial Mail.
King Edward stamp and Gandhi Stamps.!!
Gandhi Stamps and Independence of India. (shameless act !!)
A Hobby in Decline.!!

So after looking above forgery in Indian cancellation what do you think about following India USED abroad stamps on covers or stationary.

Read some of interesting blog post to see how CHEATERS are working to get your money by selling forgery or Bogus gandhi stamps.!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.

Great Britain USED Abroad stamps

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Recently I saw 1969 Gandhi Stamps from Great Britain USED in Arizona, USA on 2nd October 2012 which is also Mahatma Gandhi birthday and worldwide it is celebrated as International Day of Non-Violence.

You can read more about International Day of Non Violence by clicking following link.

A classic example of USED abroad stamp of Great Britain, but this is currently it is not a valid postage of Great Britain because they converted to decimal system in 1971.

This Great Britain Gandhi stamps is used with 1961 Gandhi stamps of USA which is still valid and this cover has 6 Gandhi stamps of 8 cents each, so this aerogramme has 48 cents stamps which is valid postage(45 cents) rate in 2012.

So this aerogramme has DUAL countries stamp which makes unique and I think it's valid in USA if there is a valid postage so it's nothing wrong with it or illegal.

But don't you think it's easy to make STAMPS USED ABROAD.!!

Click following link to read more about stamps used abroad in my previous blog post about India Used Abroad and you decide that's it's very easy to make rubber stamps and apply it on any stamps DIY (Do It Yourself.!!)

So when I see some expensive items listed on eBay I wonder that this are really not used (gone through postal stream) but just cancellation from post office or just FORGED or FAKE rubber stamp and make it USED ABROAD STAMPS.!!

Following are FORGED cancellation used abroad in Penang Straits Settlements on British India stamps.!!

So now don't you think this can be applied to any old cover and make it stamps used abroad cover.!!

Following are some of the India stamps used abroad "Singapore India used abroad", "India used Aden", "British India stamp used Port Blair", "India Gandhi stamps used in Nepal"available on eBay from $2500 to $200. I am not expert to give my opinion on this stamps whether this are Genuine or Forged. It's up to buyer to make sure about this after looking all consideration in philatelic materials.

So BEWARE what you are collecting and why are you collecting and at what price.!!

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!!

Also don't you think it does NOT make sense to collect all thematic stamps because it will keep coming.!!

Thanks

International Day of Non Violence - 2nd October - Mahatma Gandhi Birthday

Hello Gandhi Stamp Collectors,

Today is Mahatma Gandhi 143 Birthday. In India it is celebrated as "Gandhi Jayanti".

Where as whole World referred October 2nd as The International Day of Non-Violence, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi.

On 15 June 2007 the United Nations General Assembly voted to establish 2 October as the International Day of Non-Violence. The resolution by the General Assembly asks all members of the UN system to commemorate 2 October in "an appropriate manner and disseminate the message of non-violence, including through education and public awareness.

There will be lot of celebration all around the world and I also celebrated this event by sending following cover to my philatelic friend with cachet of Gandhi Statue of San Francisco (photo taken by me) and cancellation postmark date stamp from near by post office. (My son also send this to his philatelic friend world wide.!!).

Mahatma Gandhi Statue was dedicated to on October 1988 by Art Agnos, Mayor of San Francisco. It is located at "1 Ferry Building, San Francisco, CA 94199". This statue was sculpted by Zlatko Pounov and Steven Lowe and was presented to the City of San Francisco and Citizens of the United States by Gandhi Memorial International Foundation.

Plaque at the bottom has Mahatma Gandhi Quotes as well as Einstein quotes on it.

"My Life is My Message" - Mahatma Gandhi.

"Non Violence is the greatest force at the disposal of the Mankind. it is the supreme law. By it alone can mankind be saved." - Mahatma Gandhi

"Generations to come, it may be, will scare believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth." - Albert Einstein.

Last year I celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with cover with cachet of Washington DC Mahatma Gandhi statue. You can see that by clicking following link.

Aseem Trivedi Cartoons using National emblem to protest corruption and Gandhi FAKE Germany Cancellation with Emblem of India to celebrate first anniversary of Winnenden school shooting

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

I read news about arrest of Aseem Trivedi (Indian Cartoonist) that he was charged with sedition for insulting national symbols through his cartoons. The cartoons in question are on the theme Cartoons Against Corruption and one of them depicts the Indian national emblem as comprising wolves in place of lions and the slogan Bhrashtameva Jayate in place of Satyameva Jayate.

But in Gandhi Philately we are seeing lot of FAKE and FORGERY special cancellation with "Emblem of India" from Germany issued in 2009 on International Day of Non-Violence.

Above special cancellation are FAKE as per German Postal Service. So that means that "Emblem of India" was also used without permission of Indian Goverment ( Indian Embassy of Germany).

Read my previous blog post about this FAKE Germany Cancellation

1) FAKE Germany 2009 Cancellation
2) It's back again with special cancellation issued to celebrate 1st anniversary of Winnenden School shooting.!!
3) Offical used of National Emblem of India and Gandhi Postcard and Specail Cancellation

So my question is what is more INSULTING ?

Making Cartoon to protest using National Emblem ?

or

Making FAKE special cancellation to cheat people and make money using National Emblem!!?

So my advice is to stay away from all lucrative offers about INVESTMENT in 1948 Gandhi stamp from India or any British India stamp collection.

So beware what are you collecting.

So you need to think always before you buy otherwise you will regret.

To me at the end it will be JUST PIECE OF PAPER.!!

If you have money to throw away then start collecting  British India Stamps, 1948 Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic material and you will have a PIECE of PAPER (with no peace of mind.!!).

Still cannot decide then read following blog post which might help you.

Still not decided then my opinion is AVOID it all the cost.!! and have peace of mind instead of worrying you are buying Genuine material.!!!

To me all Gandhi Philatelic material available ( specially before 1950) looks FAKE or Forgery as it is very hard to find Genuine stuff and as new collectors (like me) wants to collect, so some greedy experienced collectors/dealers will provide  all of us as well as experienced collectors.!!

Still want to do research  then please read my other blog post and have fun.!!

Romania Gandhi Stamps : International Day of Non-Violence Stamp : One of the most Colorful stamp from bucharest .!!

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

On 6-10-2009 (October 6th, 2009) Romania issued very colorful stamp to celebrate International Day of Non-Violence (IDNV). As all of you might know that IDNV is celebrated by United Nations on October 2nd, which is Mahatma Gandhi's birthday.

Official FDC
Private FDC

Also special cancellation is picture of  "Non-Violence", a sculpture by Karl Fredrik Reutersward, sits permanently outside UN Headquarters in New York

I think this is first IDNV stamp which don't have Mahatma Gandhi Picture on it.  United Nations and India has stamp and special cancellation, where has Croatia has only special cancellation issued on 2nd October with Mahatma Gandhi picture. Also you can read by clicking following for  FAKE cancellation with Gandhi Picture and Emblem of India from Winnenden, Germany to celebrate International Day of Non-Violence.

I am not sure why Romania decided not to issue stamp on October 2nd and also no picture of Mahatma Gandhi in stamps or cancellation.(Looks like "Think Different").!!

Miniature sheet with 6 stamps

The International Day of Non-Violence is marked on 2 October, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence movement and pioneer of the philosophy and strategy of non-violence.

According to General Assembly resolution A/RES/61/271 of 15 June 2007, which established the commemoration, the International Day is an occasion to "disseminate the message of non-violence, including through education and public awareness". The resolution reaffirms "the universal relevance of the principle of non-violence" and the desire "to secure a culture of peace, tolerance, understanding and non-violence".

Introducing the resolution in the General Assembly on behalf of 140 co-sponsors, India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, Mr. Anand Sharma, said that the wide and diverse sponsorship of the resolution was a reflection of the universal respect for Mahatma Gandhi and of the enduring relevance of his philosophy. Quoting the late leader’s own words, he said: "Non-violence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man".

Following is the brochure of Romania International Day of Non-Violence stamp.

Romania is a country located at the crossroads of Central and Southeastern Europe, on the Lower Danube, within and outside the Carpathian arch, bordering on the Black Sea. Romania is the ninth largest country of the European Union by area, and has the seventh largest population of the European Union with 20.2 million people. Its capital and largest city is Bucharest, the sixth largest city in the EU with about two million people

This stamp is widely available on ebay and delcampe for reasonable price as lot of collectors/dealers are not aware of it.
