STAMP COLLECTION VALUE - SHILL BIDDING

USA was 2nd country in the world after India to issue Mahatma Gandhi stamp in 1961.

Now if you see following screenshot you will be amazed that this 32 cents stamps on First Day cover is only getting 41 cents after 53+ years.!!!

Looks like no value left in stamp collection.!!

This has also free shipping + eBay fees and Paypal fees.!! So seller will be paying from his own pocket for all this expense.!!!

So what do you think after looking pricing about your stamp collection value.!!!

Does it make sense to collect stamps ?

This stamp was sold by "bargainhunterfriends"  with feedback 25419 and there were 4 bidders and 4 bids.!!!

And eventually won by k***k(3087).

This proves that it has nothing to with feedback of seller or buyer whether they have single digit feedback or 5 digit feedback. Everyone is using it and doing it.!!

Click following link to my blog post to learn about SHILL Bidding and apply to this blog.!!

As usual I was more curious about lucky buyer for getting this FDC for only 41 cents, so I look at his detail and I was more amazed than any thing else.

Now if you look following screen shot and look at the 30-Day (You can click on bidder and see following detail about bidders).

You will be surprised after looking at summary of this buyer!

In past 30 days this buyer k***k (3087)

Total Bids : 1856
Item Bids on : 1616 -----------> different item bid on
Bid activity (%)  with this seller -----------------------------> 98%

If you do math then k***k(3087) bidded(not won) on 1583 items only for this seller only.!!!

What does this 1500+ bids mean?

So now my question is do you think stamp collection is this much popular.!!!?

Or this is a SHILL Bidding ?

Do you think any body will try to sell  and take loss.!!!

This is Gandhi stamp collection, were everyone think they are smarter than other.!!! Click one of the following link and you will become smarter.!!

USA stamps value : A dead hobby .!!

After looking at pricing of 1961 Gandhi stamps FDC from USA, it looks like stamp collection hobby is DEAD.!!

USA was second country in world to issue Mahatma Gandhi stamps after India. So after 52+ years it's value is going down than initial investment.

Following 1961 FDC with 32 cents USA stamp(+ envelope cost) was sold for only 77 cents including free shipping.!!

So if you count 46 cents shipping  stamps and all expense of posting, eBay fees and Paypal charges it will cost more than $1.!!

So seller is loosing money on this sale even after 52+ years investment in stamps, all storing expense in album etc.!!

So what do you think about USA stamps value : Don't you think it's a dead hobby .!!

So don't you think hobby is DEAD.?

Than why we see all glorified price of stamp collection on eBay or in auction house.!!?

Because it's nothing but CHEATING in price manipulation by SHILL bidding or by not paying to seller.!!

But that's not only thing as there are more FORGERY material of rare stamps and philatelic material, which are sold, but never paid to buyer because all of them are involved in price rigging.!!

So BEWARE what are you collecting. Read my other blog post and you will understand it.!!

Only way to increase price is by

1) Shill Bidding.
2) Selling from different countries by opening account on eBay.!! This covers are selling from South Africa, India and Oregon, USA.!!
2) Buyer don't pay to seller by increasing price. Read following link to see other cheating activity.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/08/postal-history-cheating-in-indian-stamp.html

Also forgery philatelic material

1) Forged rubber stamp ( e.g Governor General cancellation used on Gandhi SERVICE stamp)
2) Forged stamp on philatelic material with forged rubber stamp (
3) Bogus special cancellation (Germany 2009 cancellation from Winnenden, Germany)
4) Forged stamps (facsimile, replica) used on philatelic material.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in postal history of cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 India Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 India Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 India Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?

5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?

8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE India stamps overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all of the above will help you to make decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

After reading above blog post what do you think about USA stamps value : A dead hobby .!!

India stamp used abroad

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

We had seen lot of India used abroad stamps during British India. I am not sure whether it was really used abroad or just get cancel it like following or even forged cancellation as it will be very hard to know whether it was actually used abroad.

Looks like above is genuinely used abroad stamps with USA Gandhi stamps in 1967, but I don't think it was travelled through regular postal stream.

It's easy to make this kind of cover with abroad stamps. Just affix regular USA stamp on cover and request  post office to cancel it and it will also go through postal stream.

Following cover has 2 USA Gandhi stamp as well as 1948 India Gandhi stamp as well as label or Cinderella stamp (reprinted) of Azad hind which was sold for $6.

I think anyone can make this kind of cover by affixing proper postage and asking for hand cancellation.!!

We had seen some 1948 Gandhi stamps used abroad from Tibet as well as Nepal. To me both looked like forged because it has lot of known issue such as date of Sunday used on cancellation as well as there is no genuinely used of 1948 on official first day cover.!!

In past I wrote blog post about India used abroad stamps. Following are the links.

USA stamps First Day Cover

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

USA was 2nd country in the world to issue Mahatma Gandhi stamp in 1961 after India.

After 52 years this first day cover with 4 USA stamps of Mahatma Gandhi is selling for $1.79. (still available). This USA stamps are listed in Scott catalog as 1174 and 1175.

Now think if USA First Day Cover has only one stamp than what will be the value.? Might be 20-45 cents.!!

I think it is still expensive because this USA stamps  were printed in very large quantity along with lot of first day cover are still available because stamp collection hobby of collecting USA stamps and USA first day cover at that time.

Also stamp collection hobby is declining so it's very hard to keep up the price.

So BEWARE what you are collecting and why are you collecting.!!

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

Now let's talk about 1948 India Gandhi stamps.

Even official 1948 Gandhi Memorial Folder from Post & Telegraph department of India with all 4 Gandhi stamps are selling for $137.!! (To me it looks that seller is Genuine as there are multiple copies of folder and also you can enlarge it to see in detail).

You will see blank folder selling for $150.!!! which was sold for 10 paise (1/10 rupee) or 7 US cents in 1948.!!

It's nothing but waiting to swallow your money.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!! or even Collecting.!!!

It's a GAME.!!

So let's see how to play  Philatelic Game.!! (click to read how to, rules and regulations.!!)

FFC : First Flight Cover

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

Do you think following FFC First Flight Cover with Gandhi stamps make sense, specially with USA Gandhi stamps and United Nations Gandhi stamps ?

I don't think it make sense to collect this kind of cover.!! It's waste of time and money and it will never appreciate in your life. Ofcourse it will be good display and exhibit write up, but it will never appreciate because FFC collection is DEAD since last 10+ years.!!

Don't you think it's easy to make this kind of cover and make money instead of selling just mint stamps?

I think so because $1.05 will get you minimum $8 if it sells!! or in future it will sell for $20 or $30.!!!

Do you think this are actually traveled in first flight?

I don't think so. It's just either by sending envelope to certain post office and get it stamped for particular date and get it back in SASE, and then go to receiving destination post office and get it cancelled.

If you don't want to do this get your own rubber stamp. !! It's easy to make.!!

This is not true for 2012 or 2010  FFC but also for all FFC which were made after 1970.!! But there might me forgery in 1969 or 1970 FFC from certain countries.

Some of the following cover don't consider as First flight cover  because Gandhi stamp used on the cover was not either flight path of the first flight.!!

But main reason for such a decline is FORGERY selling as Genuine which is killing hobby.

Also price are increased by SHILL bidding in order to glorify stamps as well to increase value, which eventually brought down this King of Hobby.

It's like dealers and collectors want to ripoff new collectors instead of motivating new collectors and some experience and genuine collectors just sit and watch Philatelic GAME.!! instead of exposing what's going.!!

What to learn how to play Philatelic GAME then click following link to read my blog post.

1) Philatelic GAME.!!
2) Philatelic Greed !!
3) Stamp Collecting FACTS.

Also following are different ways to make money by selling stamps on Internet. (Of course is CHEATING!!)

1) Make money by selling SPECIMEN postcard
2) Make money by making RUBBER stamp
3) Make money by selling TRIAL PROOF waste by stealing it or by art using Photoshop.
4) Make money by selling FORGERY stamps
5) Make money by selling FORGED special cancellation from different cities.
6) Make money by selling FORGERY stamps as GENUINE.
7) Make money by selling BOGUS - never exist special cancellation
8) Make money by selling LABELS - forgery or bogus
9) Make money by selling FAKE or BOGUS First Flight Cover FFC
10 ) Make money by OVERPRINTING stamps.!!

Great Britain USED Abroad stamps

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Recently I saw 1969 Gandhi Stamps from Great Britain USED in Arizona, USA on 2nd October 2012 which is also Mahatma Gandhi birthday and worldwide it is celebrated as International Day of Non-Violence.

You can read more about International Day of Non Violence by clicking following link.

A classic example of USED abroad stamp of Great Britain, but this is currently it is not a valid postage of Great Britain because they converted to decimal system in 1971.

This Great Britain Gandhi stamps is used with 1961 Gandhi stamps of USA which is still valid and this cover has 6 Gandhi stamps of 8 cents each, so this aerogramme has 48 cents stamps which is valid postage(45 cents) rate in 2012.

So this aerogramme has DUAL countries stamp which makes unique and I think it's valid in USA if there is a valid postage so it's nothing wrong with it or illegal.

But don't you think it's easy to make STAMPS USED ABROAD.!!

Click following link to read more about stamps used abroad in my previous blog post about India Used Abroad and you decide that's it's very easy to make rubber stamps and apply it on any stamps DIY (Do It Yourself.!!)

So when I see some expensive items listed on eBay I wonder that this are really not used (gone through postal stream) but just cancellation from post office or just FORGED or FAKE rubber stamp and make it USED ABROAD STAMPS.!!

Following are FORGED cancellation used abroad in Penang Straits Settlements on British India stamps.!!

So now don't you think this can be applied to any old cover and make it stamps used abroad cover.!!

Following are some of the India stamps used abroad "Singapore India used abroad", "India used Aden", "British India stamp used Port Blair", "India Gandhi stamps used in Nepal"available on eBay from $2500 to $200. I am not expert to give my opinion on this stamps whether this are Genuine or Forged. It's up to buyer to make sure about this after looking all consideration in philatelic materials.

So BEWARE what you are collecting and why are you collecting and at what price.!!

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!
