British India stamp value : Are British India stamps forgeries ?

What are chances of getting REPLICA stamp as genuine stamp in this British India stamp collection for thematic collection of King Edward stamp.

Yes, I got this kind of Replica stamps after paying high price in my Gandhi collection.!! But at that time I was not aware of this kind of things.!!

OMG!!

Yes I am screwed.!! But now I can bring awareness in collector community as well as new upcoming collectors that stay away if you are not going to handle this kind of activity.!!

It all glorified that stamps are for INVESTMENT and Indian and Chinese are collecting stamps as alternate investment.!!

But what I notice in last 4 years that most Forgeries happened in Indian and Chinese stamp only.!!

Following are some of the British India stamp of King Edward issued in 1902 with high original value.

What do I mean by REPLICA ?

Replica is stamp which  are reprinted using modern printing technology which are sold as Replica for very cheap price so collectors can have it in their collection so they have to pay very high price. It's nothing but Piece of Paper.!!

But what are chance of having bought this Replica as Genuine.!!!

Yes there are lot of chances of getting this Replica as Genuine stamps and paying high price for just piece of paper.!!

Following British India stamp were sold for $2472 from Taiwan eBay seller "tw123tw" and paid by  USA buyer "iphilately2008"

This kind of selling is very good for eBay shareholder like me.!! as eBay will get good commission on this sell as well as from PayPal.!!

And in future USA government will get Income tax and state tax when it is sold !! So it will help USA government also.!!

Following are some REPLICA stamps available of King Edward and now if you compare most of them are very very high valued stamps such as 50 pounds, 20 pounds etc.

So chances of this British India stamps forgeries are also very high.!!

So Beware!! Do you see any difference if seller don't mention it as Replica.!!

It's not only in King Edward stamp but it is also in Gandhi stamps where higher value stamp of 1948 is available in Replicas only.

Also chance os this replica used on cover or used stamps of 10 Rupees Gandhi is nothing but forgeries applied with Rubber stamps.!!

So think when you buy it.

Why I suspect of getting Replica stamps because there are not that many available for high value stamps.

Let's take 25 Rupees stamp value of King Edward issued in 1902.

25 Rupees was lot of money in 1902 and very elite people can afford at that time.!!

So in past 4 years I had seen more than 50+ selling on eBay.!! Do you think this many Mint stamps were with collectors at that time and after 100+ years do you think it is still in good quality.!! It's a piece of paper printed with color ink.!!

Keeping Mint stamp means it is only for investment.!! And after 2 world wars and lot of things changed in 100+ years do you think it is possible.

So what do you think about British India stamp value?
Chances are it's highly inflated and glorified with all kind of ILLEGAL bidding practice such as SHILL BIDDING, Not paying to buyer etc.

So what do you think about  British India stamps as forgeries ?
Chances are very high because it's easy to print and make money.!! And we had seen in this Gandhi stamps as well as British India stamps or King George stamps, King Edward stamps etc.

Let me make sure that I am not saying it's FORGERY at all.

It's up to you to decide.!!

Because it's your money.!!

Thanks

British India expensive stamps : K Ed stamp King Edward stamps KED stamps

Hello stamps collector,

Recently I saw following on eBay auction of King Edward stamp from eBay seller "tw123tw" from Taiwan which was sold for $1360 and was bought by "bemortensen2012" with feedback of 401 from Denmark.!!

Do you really think that this was actually sold at this price.!!

But what surprise me was following which was written on eBay auction selling page.!! You can see this on following screenshot.

"Currently one Gandhi Blog Mentioning that i am selling fake or forgery items of india Pre independence & Great Britain stamps , i gaurantee all the items i am selling are 100% Genuine & with Genuine Watermark, Check My Feedback & Previously Sold items . i have Serious doubt on his eye vision ."

I was surprised that one of Gandhi Blog is affecting his selling!! But let me make sure that I am not expert and I don't give any expertising certification!!

But as you know that this Expertising certification are also FORGED.!!

I never mentioned that this seller is selling FAKE or Forged stamps. Following are blog post related to "tw123tw"

As you know I only compare with other King Edward stamps available as Replica, Copy, Facsimile etc and let buyer decide whether is genuine or Forgery or BOGUS.!!

Also if you see worldwide what kind of forgery is available in everything such as leather purses from Coach or Burberry or Gucci than printing this kind of stamps with modern printing technology is peace of cake.!!

Forget about forged ladies purses, there are even forged watches of Rado or Rolex are available with all kinds of multiple different mechanical parts involved.!! It's very hard to find out which one is genuine and which is forged if they are next to each other.

So this kind of stamps are very easy to print and sell and no one will complain or do investigate as this kind of stamps are very old and it's printed by government and you know.!!

And I just let my blog reader to decide what are the CHANCE of getting this kind of King  Edward as well as King George or British India stamps forgery stamps.!!

This stamp of India K ED 25 Rs. was sold for $1360 by "tw123tw"!! Yes India King Edward stamp was sold for $1360.

So what are chances of this stamp is REPLICA or COPY stamps instead of genuine.?

What.!! Yes chances of getting this are very high because on ebay this kind of REPLICA stamps is available in large quantity.

Also chances of seeing scan of genuine stamps and getting forgery stamps are also very very high.!!!

This item was bought by "bemortensen2012" with feedback of 401 from Denmark.!! Lot of money spend on this kind of item as well as buyer is buying lot of stamp related item.!!(click this link to see)

But it's good for eBay share holder as they get good commission on this kind of transaction.!! ( I am one of the eBay shareholder.!!, so I need to make sure about what my company is doing.!!)

Following are Gandhi 1948 Replica stamps. So what are chances of this stamp ending up on used covers or used stamps by applying rubber stamps.!!

Or what are chances of this stamp end up as Mint stamp without gum or white gum (you can apply gum also.!!).

You have to decide what are chance of this kind of REPLICA India K ED 25 Rs. stamp is also available.!!

Some of the K ED stamps (King Edward stamps) selling on eBay as Royal Replica and it's selling under $10. But you can buy it and sell it for $100 - $200,000 or more !!

It's very hard to make difference between replica stamps and real.!!

Chances are this might be sold as Genuine stamps or rare used stamps on some kind of envelope with unique mail or cancellation.!! or might be from rare airplane disaster or paquebot or seapost mail etc.

Or might be used on envelope send to British Empire or King or Prime Minister of Nepal etc.!!

And what are chances that this REPLICA selling on eBay or anywhere else. So think before you buy.!!

I think chances are more if you are not aware of all this kind of activity then you will be in big trouble.!!

So now all readers of this blog, do you have doubt about on my vision ?

Thanks

King Edward stamps : K ED stamps : King George stamps

Hello Gandhi stamps collectors,

“I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think” ― Socrates

Recently I read following on eBay auction by seller from Taiwain "tw123tw". (click link to see).

“Any fool can know. The point is to understand.”  ― Albert Einstein

Let me make sure I am not jealous, because I only collect Gandhi stamps and I don't have this kind of stamps to sell.!!

Also I would love to get paid for writing, but no one has offered me.!! This is new thing I learned about paid writing for stamps.!!!

We all know what kind of replica, facsimile or BOGUS stamps of Mahatma Gandhi is available with wide varieties of Overprint, Specimen etc. This can be applied to any stamps (expensive, rare) and forgeries are printed and sold.!!

This is not only in Gandhi stamps but also in all Great Britain stamps of King Edward, King George, Queen Victoria stamps as they were ruling every where in 1800 and 1900.!!

Let me make sure that I am not writing or certifying that this stamps are forgery. It's up to you to decide when you buy this stamps. I am just doing my comparison(free) of Gandhi stamps with India Pre-Independence stamps, Great Britain stamps so stamp collectors don't get cheated and regret collecting stamps because they pay high price and take pride in their collection and when they find out that they got forgery they stop collecting stamps.

I am trying to bring awareness in stamp collecting world so they don't get cheated by eBay or delcampe seller's not only by getting forgery stamps, but also inflating price by shill bidding or not paying to seller and all kind of illegal trading practice.

It's up to you to decide it's forgery or facsimile, or value of stamps etc.

From following 3 images can you tell which is Genuine or Forgery (facsimile, replica, copy) or all are forgeries.!! ?

It's very hard to tell which one is genuine or forgery because no one know how genuine looks like and thinks all stamps are genuine.!!

But as per seller "ma-collectorshop"  of this stamps two are replica stamps (Cyprus and Natal) were as third one is genuine as per seller "tw123tw".!!

Now after looking above 3 images what is your opinion of this King Edward stamps which are also sold as K ED stamps or KED stamps.

Do you see any difference between them ? ( I don't!!)

Don't you think it's very easy to make (print) this kind of old stamps which are very rare to be mint stamps.!! ( I think so)

Now if you see seller"ma-collectorshop" selling as replica is selling this stamps under $10 were as seller "tw123tw" selling as "Fresh Mint Stamps" is selling for $200.!!

So what do you think that price it self will indicate it's genuine or forgery.!!

Following are screenshot with detail description of item and you decide as that's your money will be investing in stamps.

Also you can read my blog posts about Great Britain stamps of King Edward, King George, Queen Victoria stamps and compare yourself.!!

Again let me make sure I don't certify stamps as forgery. It's up to you to decide as it's your money.

I just make you think and understand so you do better in your collection.!!

So what do you think and understand ?

“When you know better you do better.” ― Maya Angelou

============  My previous blog post about King Edward stamps forgery ? ================

King George V and King Edward stamps from British India : What are chances of getting a FORGED stamps.?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Forgery in stamp collection and philatelic material is nothing new. It has been going around since last 150 years since Penny Black first every stamp issued by Great Britain. But the quantity  and quality of forged stamps we see in today's world is unbelievable.

It's hard which one is REAL and which one is FAKE. And if it is on used cover or register cover with forged postmark cancellation it will be impossible for new or regular collector.!!

In Indian stamps and philately specially in Gandhi collection we have seen lot of forgery stamps and philatelic materials, some of them are following.

3) Forged 1948 Gandhi Mourning first day cover.(different way to mourn.!!)
.
.
.
.

Looks like Gandhi stamps and philatelic material have all kinds of Forgery.!!! including Indian Philatelic items such as 1911 First Aerial Mail from Allahabad and 1854 Queen Victoria stamps.!!

But recently I saw some British India stamp from early 1900 of King George and  King Edward on eBay sold or available from $2000 to $250!!  I am not even thinking that following are Forged stamps.

But I think a lot so one of my thinking came out of my mind is "What are the chances of this British India stamps are Forged?".

We all know that in China/Taiwan there are plenty of Forged products of famous brand name are available in plenty and people are buying it at 1/10 price such as Coach, Gucci and Burberry women's purses  are available and lot of other things such as Rolex watches.!!

All this forged product which required lot of labor work and wide varieties of different materials and machinery to forged this famous products but so don't you think it's easier to just print on piece of paper and then perforated it to make a forged stamp than making all other Forged products.!!?

So what are the chance of this stamps  (PRINTED PAPER).!!!?? (Again I am not saying following are forged British India stamps.)

Just think what are the chances or possibility of Printed Paper not a stamp.!!

Start thinking about all possible things in order to succeed in philately because technology in printing as well as selling method (SHILL BIDDING) is changed a lot in last 10 years.!!! which is driving the price and quality of Forged stamp which is hard to think that's is forged, which no one can believe it.!!

My personal view about pricing of following British India stamp of King George V and King Edward is INFLATED.  That means it does not deserve this much premium but I think price is jacked up.!!

King George 25 Rupees stamp from India Postage, sold for $291

India 25 Rupees King George V stamp with overprint SERVICE, sold for $222.

King George V 25 Rupees stamps from British India, sold for $250

King Edward postage stamp from British India, sold for $246
King Edward 15 and 25 Rupees Stamp from British India from "Taiwan" for $1990 (still available)

Following are Forgery King Edward and King George stamps KGV stamps from Central Africa and Nigeria. Compare above stamps with this and think what are the chances.

Also you can read my previous blog post about King Edward and Kin George stamps.

Now you might be wondering what above stamps and following ERROR stamp from India has to do with Gandhi stamps and King George V, King Edward and Queen Victoria philatelic collection.!!

But looking to the price it's sell it make forger to print this and sell it instead of making forged famous product and get caught by that multinational companies.

Where as making forged stamp no one has time to go after them.!! so it's a safe bet.

Following is the error stamp. In  1992 India Year Pack of commemorative stamps, the lowest value of the Birds of Prey set was discovered to be a 1 r. value, instead of 2 r. as generally issued. The 1 r. value also included the species description for the 6 r. value from the same set.

Left side stamp is GENUINE where as right side is FORGED copy of error stamp.

We see lot of FORGED 1948 India Gandhi mint stamps which makes me compare to Forged Indian Bird Prey stamp with error. Following are some FORGED 1948 India Gandhi stamps which are sold as copy, replica, proof and facsimile (even genuine, rare etc).

All of the above 1948 GANDHI stamps from India is FORGED (FAKE).

You will not able to believe it that following is the Forged stamp probably printed with help of high scanner or in China which is more easier than making forged Coach, Gucci purses or Rolex watches.!!

Seller "posthedge" from USA also mentioned it's FORGED.

Seller description of above stamp

" This type of forgery is nothing unusual - the 10Rs Gandhi stamp (the whole set actually) has been extensively forged. The forged SERVICE overprint is abundantly available. Even worse, there are many older genuine RPSL and BPA certificates (for the 10Rs Service stamp) that are floating and have been used to pass of forgeries. The red cross missing stamp and the bird of prey that recently appeared in auction houses were also determined to be fake when they were sent for certification after auction "

"One of the genuine stamps also has two certificates issued on it - which means a genuine certicate may be available to pass off a forgery. So it is not merely enough to buy a stamp with the certificate , but as always to ensure that the stamp belongs to the certificate and that the certificate itself is legitimate by writing to/emailing the BPA directly (as certificates have also been forged)."

Enlarge above screenshot to read about BPA and RPLS. !! It's amazing that expertising certificate are used to pass of forgeries.!!

But recently I saw similar stamp sold for $811 from Taiwan seller "vivistamp2009" even without mentioning that this is FORGED or GENUINE.  Only thing is that SEE THE SCAN.!!

Do you think this is a GENUINE stamp with error.? I don't think so as there are very less quantity available and it will not sell for $800 it might sold for higher price around $2000-$5000 (just my guess).!!

So what next time any seller can make it happen to $5000 by shill bidding (bidding with other account or philatelic friend might help the seller.!!)

I just gave you the point to think that what are the chances of FORGED stamp in British India Pre-Independence specially in King George Stamps and King Edward stamps.

So if you can find Forged 1948 Gandhi stamps and Forged 1992 Bird prey stamp with error then  what are the chances of other expensive British India stamps of King George V, King Edward and other Indian stamps which I mentioned in start of the blog post.

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic material with 1948 Gandhi stamps.

Expensive and Rare Stamps for Investment ?

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

Recently I saw first Gandhi stamps issued in 1948 Gandhi FDC from India. These stamps were in 4 denominations, 1.5, 3.5 & 12 annas and Rs 10 . These are the first of the Gandhi stamps ever.

It is glorified that Gandhi stamps are expensive and rare Stamps philatelic material are for Investment.?

But in reality it's nothing but cheating to new collectors who don't know more details about stamps or philatelic material which are forged or bogus (not issued by government permission or illegal usage of government emblem or symbols or stolen from government archives.).!!

But what surprise me is that there are no buyers for  1948 stamps and FDC even it's starting price is low.!! Seller is selling 2 first day cover of 1948 Gandhi stamps from Bombay and Calcutta and one set of MNH Gandhi stamps and 2 used 10 Rupees Gandhi stamps.

We all know what's going in Gandhi stamps and philatelic material as there is nothing but forgery available not only in stamps with facsimile/copy/replica but also in philatelic material by using rubber stamps. Also pricing is inflated by SHILL Bidding or not paying to seller, so it can be glorified.

Check out my following blog post to understand what is REALITY.!!

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic materials.

Not sure why but some of the reason are

1) It's Forgery stamps ?
2) It's Forgery First Day Cover ?
3) Forgery USED stamps ?

Or

1) No interest in collecting stamps ?
2) Gandhi stamps are not for Investment ?

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

Don't you think it's easy to make all this special cancellation, postmark cancellation, post office cancellation and apply to any mint or even used covers, postcards or even International Reply Coupon (Coupon Response International.).!!

It's very hard to find Genuine cancellation (special cancellation) as it is very easy to forged.!!! and sometimes there are NO GENUINE cancellation even exist.!!

Still cannot decide then read following blog post which might help you.

So what do you think? Why it's not selling ?

It's all FORGED ?

Thanks

King Edward K ED stamps - Queen Victoria QV stamps - King George KGV stamps

Hello,

Recently I saw stamps of King Edward ( K ED stamps), Queen Victoria (QV stamps) and King George KGV stamps.

To me it looks like questionable, because if you clearly you can see it has perforation issue.

There are forgery widely available in all BRITISH INDIA stamps of King George stamps KGV stamps, King Edward stamps K ED stamps, Queen Victoria stamps QV stamps so beware what you are collecting otherwise you will have some piece of paper. I can tell that it's ONLY Forgery are available.!

This is not first time I am seeing this,  but in past also I had seen seller selling as facsimile or copy or forgery, but here eBay seller from taiwan "tw123tw" does not mention anything about it.!! So it's very hard to find out it's Genuine or FORGERY.!!

In past we saw Replica or Facsimile or copy of this K ED stamps, QV stamps and KG stamps of British India stamps. You can read that by clicking following link.

After reading above blog post you will change your mind from questionable to FORGERY.!!

But he is also selling some Gandhi philatelic material also for $6300.!!

This Gandhi item has one official first day cover and first day cancel on piece of paper and three 10 Rupees Gandhi used stamps and one block of four 1948 Gandhi stamps from India.!!

Do you think $6300 is good price for this kind of material or it's cheap!! ?

Needs to investigate whether it's Genuine or Forgery  not only stamps but also first day cancellation because we had seen all kind of different FORGERY and  BOGUS in Gandhi stamps and philatelic materials.

Click following link to read more about Forgery and BOGUS 1948 "Jai Hind" special cancellation issued on 15th August as first day cancel for Gandhi stamps.

India King Edward 25 Rupees Stamp

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Recently on eBay I saw 1902 King Edward India 25 Rupees Stamp of India(British India) and it was sold for $2150!!

Do you really think this stamp is worth $2150, when stamp collection is declining very fast, so we need to look in to this ???????

After reading description I was surprised that this stamp is very rare than 1948 India Gandhi 10 Rupees Stamp, so I decided lets' do some research outside my collection topic.!!

Before you read my blog post, please read MSNBC article about "The Stamp Racquet Stickiest SCAM on the Internet"

READ MORE @ http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17171372/
ns/technology_and_science-security/t/
ebay-stamp-racket-nets-stickiest-scam/#.UCmP1Z3XErV
We had seen lot of Replica or Facsimile or Photocopy stamp of 1948 Gandhi stamps from India as well as other following  British Central Africa 1907 KE stamp and 1904 King Edward stamp from Northern Nigeria.

Yes it is replica of King Edward Stamp.!! which was sold only for $5.!! and that's also for two stamps.

Looks like higher the face value of stamps such as 25 Rupees KE stamp from India, 25 Pounds King Edward stamp from Northern Nigeria, 10 Shilling KE stamp from Southern Niegeria higher the chances.

So looking to above 2 King Edward stamp what are chances of following 1907 KE Southern Nigeria King Edward stamp SG43 which is selling on eBay. If we can see see Nigeria 1904 KE stamp, British India King Edward stamp as replica then we need to think about this.

We had seen this in  Gandhi stamp collection, were everyone think they are smarter than other.!!! Do you think this apply to other BRITISH INDIA stamp also.

Click one of the following link and you will become smarter.!!

1) Philatelic FAKE and FORGERIES.
2) FAKE AERO PHILATELY Covers.
3) Stamp collection CHEATING.
4) Stamp Collection Value
5) Stamp Collecting Facts
6) China stamp collection value.
7) First AirMail Post
8) World First Flight Cover
9) Greatest Stamp Collection Scandal
10) Biggest stamp collection SCAM
11) SCANDAL in stamp collection
12) How to increase stamp collection value

Now does it make sense to collect stamps after looking above blog posts?

As this is very RARE than 1948 India Gandhi 10 Rupees stamp what are the chances of facsimile  of this 25 Rupees stamp ? I think chances are very high if we compare with Gandhi 1948 Stamps facsimile which are currently selling as facsimile 1948 Gandhi 10 Rs. in huge quantity.

Read my following blog post to understand what's going in Gandhi 10 Rupees stamps (facsimile world) and then make sure about any expensive stamps.

So when price is high (expensive) it needs to be make sure that you are not getting any facsimile or photocopy of stamps.!!

Following are some of the FAKE items we are aware off.

1) Fake Pictorial Postmark Cancel To make collection unique or money.!!
2) Fake Postcards Just to make little money.!!
3) Fake seller (pretending from different country or trying to outbid .!!)
4) FAKE Error Stamp (to make money!!)

This 25 Rupees King Edward stamp from India (eBay item #  2007-5036-3969) was sold by ebay seller "simrenzo1" from Australia for $2150 only for single stamp with 17 bidders bidding on it.!!!!!

Do you think this is a Genuine Transaction? ( Forget about Genuine transaction, Yes I am talking about Genuine or Real or Authentic transaction!!! where seller paid all fees to eBay and buyer never return this item!!!)

Looks like eBay is really making money on this King Edward sale as eBay will get around $150 or more (including PayPal) commission on this just single stamp sale. So eBay shareholder will do good.!! (I own eBay share/stock.!!)

From the above I see lot of  SIMILARITIES  with Gandhi Stamps seller and buyer.!!!!!!

O.M.G!! Do you think a big game or scam?

But when I saw full set of King Edward India stamp of 2, 3,5,10,15, 25 Rupees along with some overprint (OHMS) stamps on 25 Rupees, 15 Rupees, 10 Rupees and other 10 stamps of lower value of pies and annas, just selling (Buy it Now) for $2450 from Taipei, Taiwan by "tw123tw" (unmabc).

You know what happen in China/Taiwan. You can find everything FAKE such as Gucci, Coach, Rolex etc. If that's possible how about just printing on  paper.!!

BTW : No buyer yet for this set of 20 stamp.!!

I am not sure why no buyer, but that's not what this blog post is about, but it's to bring awareness about facsimile, shill bidding and pricing going around in stamp collection hobby even though stamp hobby is declining.!!

So when the price is high (expensive) it needs to be make sure that you are not getting any facsimile or getting ripped off by shill bidding !!

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic materials.

Looking to current philately  trend I think this stamp is not worth what it is selling for !! so beware before you buy it.

Thanks
Ketankumar Patel.
