 Recently I saw India 1911 World First Aerial Post Air Mail Allahabad - Naini on piece of paper sold for $135 by eBay seller "postbag"

But if you read my previous blog post you will know that I don't think there was anything like India 1911 World First Aerial Post Air Mail Allahabad - Naini.

My personal opinion about this cancellation is BOGUS.

It never exist but created by some over smart person to just make money.

This is not new in special cancellation.

I proved that in 2009 when some famous stamp collector from Winnenden (or near by town) Germany created BOGUS special cancellation with Gandhi and Emblem of India.


Following is the rubber stamp which was selling as Special cancellation from Germany.!!

With my personal research from local stamp club & Winnenden residence this was creation of local Indian origin - Gandhi stamp collector.!!!

I was even barred from writing more about this on my other philately blogspot!!

So you know what this means.!! Everyone is involved in some or other BOGUS material whether it is First Aerial Mail from Allahabad or Nepal Indian Embassy cancellation on 1948 Gandhi stamps or all 1948 Gandhi FDC from various cities or Scinde Dawk or Gandhi SERVICE stamp.!!

It's not collection but a very BIG SCAM.!!!

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ON EBAY- by selling stamps - BOGUS Indian Embassy (Nepal) cancellation FDC

I regret every day for buying Nepal Indian Embassy FDC from "himphinu" a Nepal eBay seller (rich person in Nepal) and still have one of this in my collection.!!

It HURT'S too because I paid $80 for piece of paper and I was cheated!! (Money don't grow on tree")

But I don't want you to regret like me and I don't want all dealers and collectors who had cheated me should be cheating others.!!

I bought Indian Embassy Nepal 1948 FDC of Gandhi after looking some glorified online stamp exhibit as well in stamps Handbooks!!

God know's what happen 65+ years ago.!!

But it's a way to make money on eBay.!!

Make forged or bogus philatelic material, then exhibit in stamp exhibition and send it to author who will write about that forgery and bogus stamp or philatelic material in their Handbook or Year Book or reference guide etc.

Any Indian stamp or philatelic material is nothing but CHEATING so beware of this. 

It's a SCAM.!

Don't you think it's  illegal use of Government of India property by using this kind of forgery rubber stamp.

If they can forged this I am sure they can also forged Indian passport!!

Also there was lot of cheating in bidding when I was trying to buy this by SHILL bidding,  FAKE bidding using multiple id to increase the price, as well as second chance offer.

This was one of the way they want to show that there is lot of interest in Gandhi Philatelic material.!!

In past I wrote following blog post so new collectors know what's going on so they don't get cheated like me as they have some thing to know what happened in past instead of just glorified exhibit or handbooks.!!

But recently I saw this selling by eBay seller from USA "drpokiri" and item location in India. (Not sure how this works on eBay as well as Indian/USA taxation purpose).

As in past I mentioned that I don't certified that this is Genuine or fake or bogus or forgery as it will be very hard to find all information related to this CDS from Government of India using India's  RTI -  Right To Information act also.!!

But my personal opinion as I mentioned in my previous blog post that it's nothing but BOGUS (never issued on 15-August-1948)

It's up to you to decide as you will be paying money for this.!!

In past I saw this seller has sold ($10000 for 3 items) Expensive Gandhi philatelic material, so it's good for eBay shareholders as they will get commission from this kind of expensive Gandhi philatelic material.

This was sold for $21.50 which is the lowest I saw in past 4+ years.!!

Now look at the other philatelic material available from "drpokiri"

To me all the following are private (not officially issued cover) so chances of forgery or bogus is very very high.

Please look at it and think about it that this can be also rubber stamp similar to above BOGUS rubber stamp from Nepal whether it's

• 1948 Gandhi FDC from Bombay 
• 1911 First AERIAL mail rubber stamp (cachet) from Allahabad 
• cover send to Denmark or Czechoslovakia  
• Gandhi SERVICE stamp used by Governor General of India.

Don't you think it's easy to make this kind of rubber stamp and sell it as Private FDC or commercial used cover to different countries.

It's nothing new about FORGERY. In stamp collection FAKE(Bogus - Never Exist) and FORGERY has been going on 160+ years since Penny Black. 

But counterfeit or forgery is going on since 700 B.C. ( 2500+ years).

It's a greed which drives this FAKE and FORGERIES with all kind of CHEATING.

But if you FORGED Emblem of India for stamp collection chances are you will not get arrested or no jail time as no one cares about it.!!

We all know ma-collectorshop or mirokari sells FACSIMILE or FAKE stamps, by letting buyer knows it's fake stamps. Also selling price is  very low, so any collector can have that expensive stamp which are missing in their collection. (They mentioned that it's forgery stamps so it's OK to sell on eBay).

But recently I saw him/her selling EMBLEM OF INDIA, which is completely illegal to use without permission from Government of India, so I am not sure what  is this ? Is it emblem of India rubber stamp or some stamps ?

So not sure what is this "Set of 4" ?

But my guess is eBay id "speedbird1*" (aka "bipin8") since 2004.!!

In  2009 Mahatma Gandhi  and Emblem of India  forged rubber stamp was used to create some forged philatelic material from Winnenden, Germany issued on Mahatma Gandhi birthday October 2nd, which is also celebrated as International Non Violence Day to spread message of peace in 6 months after high school shooting incident in Winneden.!! ( For money they don't care about any human value. Can go any extent to make money.!!)

So if they can make it in 2009 they can  do it in 1969 or 1970 or 1948 and god knows what happen during that time and some of the forged stamps and stamp material is coming out right now or made in last 5 years because of false demand of Gandhi stamps.!!

Why Emblem of India was printed on it in 1948 before it was officially declared as Emblem of India in 1950 ?

• Even emblem of India was not printed on official booklet or folder of 1948 Gandhi stamps which were available to general public, because it was not official until 1950.!! So why on this leather folder.!! 
• Do you think Courvoisier stamp printers from Switzerland will try to use Illegal Emblem of India.(I don't think so.!!)

Emblem of India on 1948 Gandhi Special Booklet or folder from Brazil is BOGUS (never issued). It's Early Usage of Emblem of India.!!

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

National Emblem of India was adopted on 26 January 1950, the day India become republic and this Brazil folder booklet with 1948 Gandhi stamps was issued in 1948 (15 months in advance) so I came to conclusion that it is ILLEGALLY  used and it's BOGUS.!!

Until 1950 it was  a sculpture of Lion  Capitol of Ashoka which was modified to Emblem of India with the bell-shaped lotus beneath the abacus has been omitted. (you can see that in following 1947 India stamp.) so how Swiss printer knows about Emblem of India.!! This proves it's nothing but BOGUS or forgery of Emblem of India.

So now what do think about following folder from Kenmore. Look at the details on the folders which looks like genuine.

WHAT IS STATE EMBLEM OF INDIA:

The State Emblem of India is an adaptation from the Sarnath Lion Capital of Emporer Ashoka, who ruled from 272 BC to 232 BC.The Lion Capital has four lions standing back to back mounted on a circular abacus. The frieze of the abacus is adorned with sculptures in high relief of an elephant, a galloping horse, a bull and a lion separated by intervening Dharma Chakra (Wheels of Law). The abacus rests on a bell-shaped lotus.

The State Emblem is the official seal of India. As such, use of the State Emblem for official seal is restricted to the President, the Vice President, Union Ministers, Ministers and others Officers of the Central Government including diplomatic missions abroad, Governors, Lieutenant Governors, Chief Commissioners and Administrators of Union Territories and Ministers and departments and offices of the State governments and of Union Territory governments and administrations who have adopted the State Emblem. 

It was adopted as National Emblem of India on 26 January 1950, the day India become republic.

To me following folder sold on eBay by "bayphilatelics" member since 1998 from USA and item location is Taiwan!! is one more addition in questionable Emblem of India  which is ILLEGALLY used.!! Don't know how income tax (taxation) is done in this kind of selling where member is from USA and item is in Taiwan.!!

I came to conclusion that it is ILLEGALLY  used, because this Gandhi stamp folder Brazil booklet was issued in 1948.!!!

So now don't you think it's a BOGUS.!! 

How can it be on any folder or paper even no one knew about this will be Emblem of India.!! But this is Gandhi stamp collection and there are lot of visionary out there.!!!

You all know how easy it is to make FORGED products in China such as Coach/Gucci/Burberry women's purses, Rolex watches etc. If all that can be forged than this is the easiest thing to made because it's just piece of paper (thick paper) printed with Emblem and written in Portuguese with golden thread.!!

Also no one will notice that it's forged product because there is no one to make any complaint and you can make $749.!!

Don't you think collectors are buying this kind of BOGUS philatelic material by closing their eyes or it's a part of the philatelic GAME.!!?

Reason for this is questionable (BOGUS: Never exist or made) folder is that to use Emblem you need permission from Indian Government or Indian Government office(embassy).

If you see that this folder only has Emblem of India in front without even mentioning any thing about India or issuing authority or Indian Embassy of Brazil. Also there is no cancellation date stamp (CDS) so don't know when it was actually issued or not.!! Also no description about stamps or issuing agency etc.

Genuine folder will have all kind of information on folder such as picture, description of stamp etc. Following is official folder from Post & Telegraph department of India issued for 1948 Mahatma Gandhi stamps and even that one don't have Emblem of India.!! 

Above official folder from Post & Telegraph department of India with three 1948 Gandhi stamps will sell for $30-$40 and if all four stamps then it will sell for $100-$140. Check following post to see what price it sold for.!! If higher price then you know it's glorification only.!!

Following is folder issued by USA postal department in 1961 for Gandhi stamps. Look all kind of information on this folder which will explain you a about stamps as well as special cancellation issued on that day, brief description of Mahatma Gandhi and other participation information. 

Following folder will sell somewhere between $5-$10.!!

Now think pricing of this BOGUS folder.!! which itself makes it BOGUS.!!

By just printing name on piece of paper don't make a folder.!! 

Even country name "Brazil" is missing.!!

If you compare both of the above folder with Brazil folder as well as Courvoisier folder then you will notice the difference.

To me it looks like Emblem of India is used ILLEGALLY and if it is indeed illegal use then it is a great insult to country.

My personal view on this special booklet of Gandhi 1948 stamps is it's illegal and was not issued in 1948. I am not expert in philatelic material so you don't have to believe my view, but you can think what are the chances before you buy as you have to pay money.!!

If anyone has proof that it was legally issued in 1948 then please let me know so I can modify this blog post and bring awareness about Genuineness of this folder instead claiming as  BOGUS, Forged, FAKED Gandhi philatelic material.!!

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

Nepal Indian Embassy Mahatma Gandhi 1948 Cover (FDC) with 1.5 Anna Gandhi stamp

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Today is 15th August which is Independence Day of India.  This day was not possible without  Mahatma Gandhi who sacrificed his life to achieve this for all Indians.

I am rewriting this blog post which I published on May 16, 2011 as this blog post is related to 15th August 1948.

(Gandhi Collectors who don't have this cover or New collectors DON'T BUY Nepal India Indian Embassy Mahatma Gandhi 1948 cover (FDC) with 1.5 Anna stamp UNTIL YOU have research in detail about each and everything about this cover. I don't question postmark cancel from embassy but I questioned about this covers with 1.5 Anna stamp )

Think how 1948 Gandhi stamp reach to Nepal Embassy on First Day of issue.? There are lot of other cities which did not received this stamps whose people are more in philatelic.!!! How many of us have seen any kind of First day CDS from AHMEDABAD or Baroda or Rajkot.!!



BTW: Looks like seller is making his living in Nepal on all of us (USA, Germany, Norway etc). NEPAL 2010 GDP is $562. This seller already made more than 2000 dollars in just 2 years by selling this dirty cover which looks like commericial used without receiving postmark cancel. This is all because of us who bought this cover including myself.

I am not sure what are we all trying to prove here.


Last month Nepal India Indian Embassy Gandhi 1948 commemorative small value 1.5 Anna stamp on cover from Indian Embassy (Nepal) with comet postmark 15 Aug 1948 was sold for $158. Unbeliveable price.!!

Both buyer paid $155+ are from India(If nothing is FAKE!! This is Gandhi Philately.!!). Looks like India is really booming.!!

In last 2 years I saw around 10-12 similar FDC sold on ebay by only one seller "himphinu" from Nepal.

I bought this for $81 (including shipping) in June 2009, So comparing this with selling price of $158 my purchase is appreciating by 90-100% in 2 years. Not bad at all in this kind of economy where nothing is certain except Gandhi Philately.!!




As you know I do research on Gandhi philatelic items so I bid on some of Gandhi items again and again and because of this I got two second offer from this seller.!!!

In March 2010 I got second chance offer for $39 & in April 2011 I got it for $106. What a difference!!!!!!





(Second Chance Offer on Gandhi Philatelic material is another interesting Research topic on which I am working on.!!)




Looks interesting.!! Reason for getting this second offer is that seller don't know that I bidded with different id.!! Yes I do have multipe id.!!

Following screenshot will show you who made seller super RICH by buying this cover/FDC at what price and you will see some great Gandhi collectors and some questionable collectors!!!

Also some feedbacks are missing both by sellers and buyer.!! Also looks like some buyers are questionable.!!






Some of the covers sold for 200+ dollars are for 3 covers with 3 different Gandhi 1948 stamps.

After all this research for 2+ years on this FDC I think I & other paid very high price for this cover without knowing indepth details about this cover. Also there is no place to look about this.!!

I need help in following questions to find more details about this cover. If you know please comments on this blog post.

1) How many total FDC was issued from Indian Embassy Nepal??
2) Why only one person has this in lot? (this is not private comet postmark so there should be more).
3) Do anyone has proof that this are GENUINE cover?
4) Any record from Indian Goverment or Indian Embassy about this cover or Hira Singh?
5) Do anyone has this cover with 10 Rupees Stamps as I never saw one? Why? (It's embassy so there will be rich collector even 1948.!!)
6) Anyone has seen this cover with shipping address to other countries with CDS in back side?
7) Anyone has seen this cover with receving postmark cancel (CDS) in back from Nepal(receiving cds) ?
8) Any Register cover?


I think it makes more sense to buy  Philatelic material from Collector who has his name & address on the philatelic material because his/her name is involved in that kind of special cover/postcard etc. If we know who is Hira Singh then we can have little proof about it and we can get in confidence.

I had seen commerically used cover to USA with multiple stamps and embassy cancellation. So no issue with embassy cancellation. Only issue is cover without CDS in back and mailed to other countries and who is the creator of this.!!

Gandhi Collectors who don't have this or New collectors DON'T BUY THIS UNTIL YOU GET SUFFICIENT INFORMATION OF ABOVE QUESTIONS.

If you still need this cover then let me know I will give my cover which I purchased from same person to you at reasonable price (no profit no loss) so I can get rid from my collection and have peace of mind.!!

Mahatma Gandhi and Indipex 2011.

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Update : - This is genuine stamp as I got email from Bangladesh Postal Service and I have this in my collection.

I am not changing my blog post but you can read about it and think what's going on in other thematic collection.

Some of you might be attending Indipex 2011 in New Delhi, India and you will be amazed how much interest is going on in Mahatma Gandhi Khadi stamp valued 100 rupees(US $2.20) which is approximately 2 dollar and 20 cents. Also Presentation Pack cost 250 (US $5.50) Rupees which is approximately 5 dollar and 50 cents.

President of India, Mrs. Pratibha Patil inaugurated the World Philatelic Exhibition, INDIPEX 2011, by releasing a special limited edition Khadi stamp on Mahatma Gandhi."
India has never issued any stamp on any material other than on paper. In other countries, materials like silk, gold and diamonds have been used to make stamps.


First of all Thanks to Indian Post for excellent work of making this Khadi stamp instead of paper. The 39X39 milimetre, diamond-shaped stamp is made of the usual unwatermarked gravure coated stamp paper, on which is stuck a square of khadi cloth . A charkha appears in the foreground of the cloth, with the thread spinning out to form a line drawing of the Mahatma spinning.



Indian Post has printed 100,000(one hundred thousand) stamp and now they are printing more because of demand.

Currently this stamp sheet is selling on ebay from $20 to $50.!! What a easy way to make money.!!

India Post Indipex 2011 Mahatma Gandhi Presentation folder

Following is the Mahatma Gandhi stamp on Khadi(cloth) which Gandhiji used to wear during his Indian Indepedence revolution against British. I think this is the only official stamp/stampsheet from postal department issued for Indipex 2011.





I also verified on Royal Mail website (UK) is another country to issue official stamp for this event, but WHY personalised stamp (Smiler in UK). Following is the half stampsheet(10 stamp) from UK.

Now let's talk about which other countries stamps available on name of Mahatma Gandhi for Indipex 2011 event.


Currently 3-4 Personalised stamp of Mahatma Gandhi from countries such as Bangladesh , Micronesia, Tuvalu etc. with Indipex 2011 logo are available on ebay/delcampe.

My main concern is Why Indipex 2011 logo on all stamp?



Following is First Day Cover from Bangladesh. Here no INDIPEX Logo is used on stamp or FDC but Indipex 2011 is printed on FDC. Bangladesh Post was participant in the event so they can officially use Indipex logo on the stamp & FDC!! So now I am more curious about this stamp and FDC also.

Not sure whether this is offical or Personalised stamp?

Also pictorial Mahatma Gandhi cancel is official or just rubber stamp?

I emailed Bangladesh Postmaster of 5 postoffice to verify this and waiting for reply from them as I Can't find more info on Bangaldesh Postal Service website. If Bangladesh stamp is not offical than I am wondering this is personalised or FAKE stamp(printed at home because now a days printers are very advance.!!) because I don't think Bangladesh is offering personalised/custom stamp. Indian Post is not offering that service till recently so how Bangladesh can offer this kind of personalised stamp.

I have not heard about Tuvalu before this.!!!!! Because of Gandhi stamp from Tuvalu today I learned one more new country. It is Polynesian Island Nation near Australia with 10,000 people in 10 sq miles. It's GDP & Poplulation is somewhere around 225th in the world.!!I think this is good for small countries like this as they make money as this stamp are not going to use and also keep them in business.!!(if they are printed offically from them.)



Also I am not sure what more is coming with Gandhi for Indipex 2011.?

I am not sure what Gandhi collectors want to do with kind of personalised stamps.

Do we want to spend money on this kind of personalised stamp and increase our collection or we just keep distance from this personalised stamp. I leave this upto individual collector.
