China PRC stamps - Giant Panda Imperf stamp - China stamp as investment.

China PRC stamps - Giant Panda Imperf stamp was sold on eBay for $749 by eBay seller "cmcstamps" from California.

Do you think this is Genuine stamp ?

It's easy to make IMPERF stamp by using photocopy (Xerox) or by printing with any latest and greatest printer.!!

Do you think this was officially issued stamp by China government. ?

God know what happened in 1963 in Communist China. It's very hard to eat or save money with Communist rule so how come it's all the way in California.!!

Do you really think China PRC stamps - Giant Panda Imperf stamp is worth lot of money like what you see here.?

MY personal opinion is NO. It's nothing but inflated price. But hard to tell.

Do you think China stamp collector or rich Chinese are investing in stamps as alternate investment after advice from investment banker or after looking it on eBay or other auction house ?

They want Chinese rich people to invest in this kind of things which is worthless.

I don't think so. It's nothing but glorifying stamps on eBay or auction house by SHILL bidding so stamp dealers or seller can convience unknown new Chinese rich people that this will be investment for future.!!

It's an art of selling a piece of paper.!!

But let's see if it was really sold by "cmcstamps" and got money from buyer.

Following will make money on this $750

• eBay gets 10% commission
• Paypal get 2-3% commission
• California will make money on state tax or capital gain tax
• USA Federal Government will get tax money on this as capital gain tax or regular income tax on any collectible item. (USA is very strict on tax so no one can make them fool.!!, USA tax department IRS will go anywhere in the world to get their money.)

So now do you think all of this got money ?

It's really hard as only seller and eBay know that it was sold. Seller only knows whether he/she paid all taxes.

Seller can just open case with non payment by buyer and don't have to do anything.!

Expect sell it again or another item and let people start believing it that China PRC stamps are for investment.!!

So think twice.!!

It's your money so you can investment where ever you want.

You don't have to believe in my opinion like Expert Stamp Certificate even after paying to the expert.

So this is free opinion.!!

Imperf Stamps - Plate proof stamps - Mahatma Gandhi & John F Kennedy from Antigua & Barbuda

With latest printer and photocopy equipment IMPERF stamps are very easy to be forgery.

Also this are actually not a IMPERF stamp it's a color proof and which is waste, but it might be stolen from government archives.

Yes this is also mentioned in Gandhi Handbook but to me this is not a stamp collection but it's collecting stolen goods.!!

So beware what you are collecting.

Recently I saw eBay seller "kohinoor100" from India is selling Antigua & Barbuda 1984 MASTER PLATE PROOF IMPERF Pair Gandhi Kennedy for $500.!!

Don't you think it's easy to make forgery of this by using photocopy or printer!!

Don't you think it's hard to find out whether you are getting this is genuine or forgery because no one knows.

You can create even FAKE (never issued) by various color combination using printer and photoshop software.

Gandhi Nehru Imperforate colour trial.

 Recently I saw Gandhi Nehru Imperforate colour trial stamp from India selling for $1800.

In past I bought some Gandhi imperforate sheet and I was cheated.

It was just photocopy. (color) and cut. Also it was just regular paper.!!

(Color printers are very advance so be careful. They can print currency notes so this IMPERF stamp don't even needs to perforated.!!)

So be careful when you go for IMPERF stamp.!!

Imperforate stamps - 1973 Gandhi Nehru stamp

India 1973 Gandhi and Nehru Imperforate stamp is currently selling for 1400 UK pounds from ebay seller "zeboose".

If this is genuine imperforate stamps then it is stolen from Government of India Postal archives as this should not be available to public. 

This are colour trial so it should not be sold.!!

But  to me this looks like photocopy from stamp Gandhi Handbook or some other philatelic material.

Imperforate stamps are mostly forgery or Bogus (never exist) but to make money  by creating unique stamp.!!

This is one of the way you can make money by creating photo copy and sell it as genuine stamp.!!

So BEWARE of Imperforate stamps.!!

Imperf stamps - Proof stamps - Grenada stamps

Recently I saw Grenada IMPERF stamps - Proof stamps of  Gandhi Disarmament selling for $120 by ebay seller "steelhouseauctions"

This imperf stamps are also mentioned in Gandhi Handbook which has more imperf stamps than actual stamps.!!

I don't believe in Gandhi Handbook because it has incorrect information about stamps and philatelic material.

Even forgeries are also in Gandhi Handbook and there is no description or mention about that this is forgery such as 1948 Gandhi FDC from Indian Embassy Nepal or Gandhi SERVICE stamps on piece of paper and lot more.

According to me there are more chance of getting photocopy instead of IMPERF stamps.

It's very easy to print or make imperf stamps with latest printers or photo copy machine so be careful.

Most of the IMPERF stamps are nothing but forgery. Some times it's even bogus(never exist).

Some times it's STOLEN from Government Archives so be careful when dealing with some special philatelic material.

So be careful when you buy IMPERF stamps.

IMPERF stamps - stamp investing.

In past I bought some IMPERF stamps but now I avoid completely, after understanding how some collectors turned dealer make money by making FORGERY or BOGUS(never exist) material and sell it as Genuine IMPERF stamp.!!

Recently I saw 2008 Gandhi IMPERF stamps (without zigzag cutting) and I was wondering how easy is to make this kind of IMPERF stamp and sell it.!!

Following is IMPERF stamp of 2008 Gandhi from India and not sure whether it's was available to general public or not.!! I don't it was available to general public otherwise it will be not that expensive.!!!

What do you think about this IMPERF stamp, is it's stolen from printing waste or forgery stamps.!! and this kind of IMPERF stamp can be made in to error stamp.!!!

Following screenshot is from eBay seller "alphaomegaphilately"  were this 1 rupee stamp is for sale or $20. It's lot of money if you compare $20 to Indian money which is 1200 rupees. !!

So think stamp investing in 5 years. It's 3000% return on investment .!!

If they sell it just PERF stamp no one will buy it, but this is how you make money on internet.

So what are chances of this as forgery.?

When ever there is lot of profit I usually suspect that stamps, because it does not make sense if it was available freely in market.!!!

If you compare following screenshot this $20 for 4 stamps with full sheet of 100 stamps was not even sold for $10.!!

Now think stamp investing make sense.!!

But it make sense to create forgery stamps and sell it as genuine stamps, which will make sense of stamp investing.!!

If you compare above imperf stamp with following screen shot of 1971 Great Britain Postal Strike stamp you will think it's easy.!! (BTW there was no imperf stamp of 1971 Great Britain postal strike).

Look at the following screen shot of 1971 Great Britain Postal Strike stamp. This stamp is forgery stamp or facsimile stamp.

Now don't you think same is possible for any stamp which can make forgery.

Following is facsimile or replica or photocopy stamp. If we can see this kind of quality in PERF stamp than don't you think it's easy to make IMPERF stamp as it will not required cutting perforation.!!

Also when you see certain philatelic handbook you will find more information about IMPERF stamps so it will be glorified and collector will try to buy it.

But to me IMPERF stamp is nothing but forgery done with modern printers and photoshop.!!

IMPERF stamps - Imperforate stamps : What are chances of getting FORGERY stamps by photocopy or printing?

A perforation is a small hole in a thin material or web. There is usually more than one perforation in an organized fashion, where all of the holes are called a perforation. If perforation is not done then it's imperf stamp or imperforate stamps.

In the early years, from 1840 until 1850, all stamps were issued imperforate, and had to be cut from the sheet with scissors or knife.

According to me there are more chances of forgery in Imperf stamp than perforated stamps because it's easy to photocopy or print using modern technology. Also it will be very hard to get notice as it don't required perforation.!!!

Following is imperf stamp from Senegal issued during Gandhi Centenary in 1969.

What are chances of this stamp is FORGED, using photocopy or printing machine.?

Do It Yourself  (DIY) and you decide.!!

This imperf stamp was for sale for $85.!!

Don't you think it's easy to make living by printing or photocopying this kind of imperf stamp!!

I think so because $85 is lot of money for some countries such as India or Africa countries or any 3rd world countries.!! (It's about 5200 rupees in India.!!)

To me it's all imperf stamp after 1900 are PHOTOCOPY because this was not actually for sale to general public, as it was initial print for quality check and after that it needs to be destroyed or should be in government archival.!! But you will see all kinds of things from 3rd world countries were law can be broken without and fear.!!

Look at following Queen Victoria four annas imperf stamp.!! This full sheet of stamps is selling for $10.!!

Of course it's forgery.!! But good thing is that it is sold as forgery and at minimum price.

But what if this stamp are cut and sold as genuine.!!?

What if this imperf stamp are sold as used stamp by applying forged rubber stamp.!!? It's possible, we had seen lot in Gandhi stamps as well as other British India stamps.!!

So BEWARE when you buy IMPERF stamps.

If you don't then you will have PHOTOCOPY.!!

Imperf stamp - Antigua Gandhi Train stamp.!! :

Recently I saw Antigua Gandhi Train Imperf stamp and it remind me my purchase of this stamp back 3-4 years ago.

If I have to buy it right now I will never buy this IMPERF stamp.!! Because to me it looks fantasy stamp.!! 

After getting this stamp and observing it thoroughly, it's nothing but piece of paper (very thin). It's a useless and valueless piece of paper. Can't consider as philatelic material.!!

I think it's very easy to print this kind of stamps with modern printing technology and using photoshop.!!

And once you print it than you need to glorified by either sending to publisher of book or magazine or stamp collector friend who will exhibit in their collection.!!!

I am not sure why Imperf stamp is required.!! There is no imperf stamp of 1961 USA Gandhi stamp or Great Britain stamp.!!

So why such as small country (84000 people in 2011) needs imperf stamp.!! Think how many people were in 1984.!!

All kind of cheating happen in smaller country stamp as there are no resource to go after cheaters as well as no one cares.!!

To me either it is BOGUS (never exist) or stolen from printing press which are proof before actually printed and are not perforated.!!

But still I have it.!! Because I was not aware of all kinds of illegal activities in Gandhi stamp collection.!!

To me all IMPERF stamps on paper or cardboard are not official issued stamp and it's nothing but fantasy and glorification of stamps by various legal and illegal ways such as Shill bidding, by bidding high and not paying seller so price is looks very high, second offer etc.

How we know that this are real or genuine stamps.!! There is no way to find out.!! 

We can't trust any philatelic handbook were they mentioned about this kind of IMPERF stamp.!! We all know there are lot of errors in philatelic handbook and magazine. 

All this philatelic magazine, blogs(even mine.!!) , books etc are nothing but to glorified the material as unique or rare.!! Even it is glorified by exhibiting and winning medal even with BOGUS philatelic material with special cancellation.!!

So what are chances of forgery or bogus of this Antigua & Barbuda $1 Gandhi IMPERF stamp.!!

Recently I saw Gandhi Imperf stamp from Antigua and Barbuda was sold by eBay seller "rushstamps" from UK for $79 for block of 4 and buyer is from India "adianil"

Spending good amount of money 10,000 Rupees on this two imperf stamps auction.!!

But interesting thing is that eBay seller t***e(370) "rthaper" is bidding for 48.51, who also bought this stamp 3+ years ago.

So do you really think this stamp is worth $79!!

Do you really think this is Genuine IMPERF stamp or it's BOGUS stamp ?

I have this in my collection and I consider this as BOGUS stamp (never exist) or it's proof trial then it's should not be counted as stamp, but it is stolen goods.!!

I am not sure what happens to buyer of stolen goods.!!?

I bought single stamp for $40 from eBay seller "qv500" from UK.!! 

I know I was idiot at that time!!  This was because I depend on information from handbooks, or online exhibit or just what's selling on eBay. I never thought any thing else and no one was there to provide correct information as every one wants to Glorified Gandhi stamp collection.!!

Also look who was buying this stamp at that time. eBay member id "coolblue1955"!! who is also "ashokmehta1955" who sells forged Gandhi Germany 2009 special cancellation from Winnenden Germany.

Also this was bought by eBay member id "rthaper" from eBay member id "qv500"

By writing this I hope you will not become idiot like me.!!

So think before you buy and  beware all kind of activities in philatelic collection.!!

Imperf stamps : Are they Genuine or just Forgery ? Why Imperf stamps are needed? To make forgery easier.!!

There are different types of stamps such as perf, imperf, specimen, overprint etc. But I still don't get it why IMPERF stamp is required.

There are more chances of FORGERY because it's very easy to use photocopy (Xerox) to make this kind of stamps. Also it's very hard to know whether it was originally created as IMPERF stamps or it was a BOGUS (never exist) creation!!

Do this IMPERF stamp of Gandhi was available to general public ? I don't think so.!!

If it is not available to public then I don't think it needs to be consider as artwork or painting but not as a stamp other wise any piece of paper will consider as stamp.!!

Recently I saw Gandhi IMPERF stamp from India selling for $115!! It's original or face value is just 60 paise each (1 Rupee twenty paisa for two stamps).

Now think return on investment as it's even very hard to count.!! But it's more than 50000+% (more than fifty thousand percent) because it only cost  2 US cents ($ 0.02) and seller "Rogerpo99" is asking for $115.!!

Don't you think it's tempting to make this kind of IMPERF stamp.!!

With all this latest printing technology it's very easy to print as you don't need to high security printers.!! If there are forged perf stamps of Gandhi, King George, King Edward etc than anyone can make IMPERF stamps.!!!

So what do you think ? Is it Forgery or Genuine or Bogus.!! ?

Think before you start collecting using reference of false, incorrect or bogus information from philatelic handbook or online exhibit or philatelic blog(including mine) or collector or dealer or reading articles as none of them will provide you correct information , as everyone is trying to glorifying Gandhi stamps and keep reality with themselves.!!

So beware of all Gandhi imperf stamps from Togo, Cameroun, Mali, Germany, Hungary, Grenada and all others.!!

Proof or Black print stamp or Test stamps from Germany

Hello Gandhi Collector,

On eBay you might be seeing Germany Gandhi Proof Print stamp or Black Print stamp, but it's a photograph taken from 1969 Germany Year Book. In past, I bought this Germany Proof print and I have to return it to seller.

So make sure when you buy this kind of Rare material. It's selling as Germany Gandhi 1969 Black test stamps or Photographic proof  or German Archive  proof prints.


Germany has issued a surprising number of "proof prints" commonly called "black prints" or in some cases referred to by the post office as, "test stamps". After stamp is selected they come up with color trials which you will see from different countries but very rarely seen this tests stamps.


Test Stamp is a label not valid for postage, used by postal authorities on sample mail to test various sorting and cancelling machines or machines that can detect the absence or presence of a stamp on an envelope. May also be known as "dummy" or "training" stamps.

In most cases, the "proof prints" from Germany have been made using the
engraved portions of issued stamps. They are usually imperforate, printed in one color (different than the issued stamp).

How you can make TEST stamp.

1) Print above sheet
2) Cut it
3) Print more on kodak paper or any good paper
4) start selling.!!

Recently I saw this kind of photographers (similar to my purchase) are selling for $130!! on eBay by seller "creativityplus4" from UK. So make sure before you buy what are you buying it.!!

Martin Luther King Stamp with Gandhi and Kennedy Imperf stamps : How can we tell it's GENUINE.!!

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

How can we tell whether Imperforated (having a straight edge without perforations)  stamps are Genuine ?

There is no real measurement or visual inspection which will indicates it's Genuine.!!  because it don't need perforation (a long series of holes or slits so that paper  can be torn more easily).

Recently Gabon Imperf stamp Scott Catalog # C78 - 81 of Martin Luther King Jr, Mahatma Gandhi Imperf stamp, Kennedy Imperf stamp were not even sold for $15.!!

But one seller is selling this imperf stamps for $180!!!

I am not sure why this imperf set was not sold but to me it looks like lot of factors.

1) Forgery are available more then Genuine not only in Imperf stamps but also in perforated stamps so  it's very hard to believe it's real.

2) I don't think anyone collect stamp of Robert Kennedy and John Kennedy because it's  not interesting collectors and I don't see anyone collect this at all. It's in history books only.!!

3) Martin Luther King Jr stamps are also long gone as no one is even issuing new stamps of him as there is no demand in USA were he was widely popular in 1960 -1980 in philatelic world but after that stamps are in decline.

4) Mahatma Gandhi stamps are in plenty of quantity and looks like forgery & shill bidding is killing this hobby. Also overall stamp collection decline is also affecting it.

So beware what you are buying it because it's very easy to make a COPY in printer and sale it. I am not expert but this is only my opinion what are possibilities in philatelic world.

But now look at the following screenshot from eBay and you decide what will be the pricing of this stamps.

Yes it's $180!! What if you don't know correct pricing and buy this kind of philatelic material for collection.!!

Germany Gandhi Imperforated Stamps : Do you think this Gandhi stamps card price is justified.?

Germany issued Gandhi stamps in 1969 both perf and imperf. It's very hard to find imperf used stamp. Following is one of a kind.

Do you think $199 is right price for this kind of postcard.? Looks like this postcard is Genuine, but when ever it's unique or rare and asking high price then you need to lots and lots of research.
