How to Invest in Stamps ?

Do you want to Invest in stamps ?

I think after reading my my previous two blog post about Stamp Investment you will never collect philatelic stamp material as well as stamps because you will get idea that you will be CHEATED.!!

Following are two blog post which can help you to avoid Invest in stamps.

Make sure you read above two blog post before you continue blog post so you will get idea.

Now will you Invest in Stamps ?

I think NO.!!

But if you still don't believe that stamp investment is not cheating then let's see one more example of Gandhi Memorial stamps issued in 1948 by India.

Following is First day cancellation rubber stamp applied on Gandhi Memorial stamps and to me it looks like possible forgery.!!

This special cancellation is applied on Mahatma Gandhi Memorial stamp issued in 1948 and made it as private or personal FDC. (not official issued FDC by post and telegraph).

This cover is selling for $1000 by eBay seller "rohit98103"

If you compare this rubber stamp selling by eBay seller "rohit98103" than it does not match with other BOMBAY G.P.O cancellation.!!

But it's easy way to make money.!!

If you sell Gandhi stamps no one is going to buy it but if you sell as Gandhi philatelic material than you offer it for $1000.

Now let's talk about this special cancellation.

Special cancellation is nothing but rubber stamp and it can be easily made by anyone.

There are more than 500 FORGED rubber stamps exist in Gandhi stamps which are used on Gandhi philatelic material.

Following are FAMOUS FORGERY RUBBER STAMPS USED in PHILATELIC and STAMP COLLECTION so it's not hard to make any regular rubber stamp.

Collectors don't care about humanity or people value to make money.  Following Germany philatelic rubber stamp was made to celebrate Non violence day where 16 high school kids were killed.!!

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2010/01/fake-gandhi-postmark-cancel-from.html

What is Tibet 1949 register cover with 1948 Gandhi stamps without stamps from Tibet and Indian Embassy of Nepal?
FAKE 1948 Indian Embassy of Nepal cancellation and Independence day of India

Forged 1948 Gandhi FDC with Indian Embassy of Nepal cancellation!!
Forged 1948 Gandhi Nepal Indian Embassy Cancellation
FORGED India 1948 Gandhi stamps FDC!!
FAKE 1948 Gandhi  stamps "JAI HIND" Cancellation
OVERPRINT stamp issue from Cameroun, Nicragua & Togo. Does not make sense at all someone printing on stamp by mistake. This is delibrate act.

FAKE Overprint Cameroun, Nicaragua stamps and FDC!!
Also 1979 - 1980 wrong year printing with UNICEF, Olympics, Einstein , TajMahal. It's nothing but a SCAM to make money by making false assumption of RARE!!

Now this O.H.M.S philatelic cover was for auction starting at $69,000 or 50,000 Euros.!!! It's a one of the most expensive stamp collection item.!!

O.M.G!! Don't you think you just need one of this cover (expensive stamp) so you can live your whole life easily!!! It's almost 40+ Lakh rupees Indian money (40,00,000 Rupees or 4 million Rs.!!)

Rare Indian Stamps. Below is rare Indian stamps used on cover if genuine.!! This is  among the most scarce and rare Indian stamps available on market.!!

But to me it looks like rare FORGERY Indian stamp!! To more authentic maker of this cover wrote Registered + Airmail and also receiving date and time.!!!

Also Register label is just a piece of paper printed with R 186.!!

But amazing thing is that blue ink rubber stamp of C. Rajagopalachari without any title such as Governor General of India.!!

You can make one and try to make money.!! (Just Kidding.!!)

Want to learn "HOW TO MAKE MONEY USING INTERNET" or expensive stamp collection item then read following three blog post so you will be expert in making money and also making expensive stamps.!!

To me it's nothing but forgery to make and feel like it's genuine without thinking whether it make sense to write O.H.M.S.!!

So what do you think about this cover ? Is it official cover or just a big forgery.!! ?

To me it looks like a big time forgery !!

Now see following screenshot and you decide that this are really used Gandhi SERVICE stamps.

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

Following is the large quantity(very rare!!) currently for sale!! In past 6 months I had seen more than 30 for sale!!

Out of which I found interesting. I saw two Gandhi SERVICE stamps with KGVI on a piece of paper with Governor General Camp P.O. (Click this link to see it on delcampe) and it's starting price is 3000 Euros.!!!

Yes 3000 Euros.!!!

But I noticed that date of cancellation on that piece of paper is 15 May 1949 which was SUNDAY.

* Do any one know Governor General was working on SUNDAY in 1949 ?

* Do any one know Governor office (post office / camp p.o) was open on SUNDAY in 1949?

* How can you tell that this piece of paper is from Offical Cover  as it is mentioned in description.?

* Did you notice that King George Stamp is regular stamp ? SERVICE overprint is missing? Is it Error.!! (No there was also regular stamps of King George.!!)

* Don't you think collector or receiver or maker of this piece on paper don't know the value of this.!!! You can see 1 or 2 or 3 on piece of paper but not 30+ in last 2-3 months.

* Don't you think it's easy to make this kind of rubber stamp?

What do you think about this Gandhi SERVICE stamp with Governor General PO date stamp?

FAKE or FORGED ?

I think your guess will be mine.!!

We all had seen FAKE stamp of 1948 India GANDHI SERVICE for all kind of value!!

So now do you think it's above Governor-General cancellation GENUINE ? or FAKE (just piece of paper) ?

This is how to make money in Philatelic.!! Use Mint stamps worth $5 and make $4000!! by creating this kind of material.!!

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Philatelic Stamp investing is nothing but PIECE OF PAPER with rubber stamp.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!!

Thanks

Gandhi Memorial Stamp folder : A Hobby in Decline. - Part II

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

As I mentioned in my previous blog post that value of Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic material is not appreciating at all and it's on decline path. ( A Hobby in Decline!! )

Here is another example of Gandhi 1948 stamps with folder and documentation from paper and Indian Embassy.

This memorial stamp folder was sold by ebay id "ktsun00" from Holly Springs, NC with all 4 mint stamps was sold only for $215.!!! and that's also in auction with last 2 bidders bidding at last second to get maximum benefit in pricing.!!

Can you believe this.!!? In past I had seen this folder selling for very high price(not sure why, but you can guess!!) Even used 1948 stamp were sold for more price then this.!! In past it was sold between $600 - $137.!!(of course without all documents.!!)

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic material with 1948 Gandhi stamps.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) First Aerial Post - Indian Philately Exposed - Part III
10) 1911 First Aerial Post - Allahabad - Indian Philately Exposed - Part IV

After reading all of the above blog post in which very very high price was paid for 1948 Gandhi stamps cover and falsely inflated price, don't you think this cover was sold at very low price.?

But I think this is the real price as very less collectors are involved in collecting 1948 Gandhi stamps. Also now new collectors are getting into this hobby, but there is a huge push to create a glorification of 1948 Gandhi stamps from India on FDC as well as used on cover.

Thanks

Gandhi Stamp Exhibition

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

India issued first Mahatma Gandhi stamp in 1948 and I think it one of the most valuable  and interesting  collection  in Gandhi Philately.

Initially I was thinking to collect India 1948 Gandhi Philatelic material but I stopped this and try to avoid it if possible to add in my collection. My reason for avoiding is

1) Needs lot of study and research to make sure it is Genuine item as because of  almost 65 years quality of Cancellation Data Stamp (CDS) is not in good condition and also it will require lot of research time to authenicate cancellation.

2) Also it will be very hard to research about Receiving Postmark cancel (Back stamp) on the philatelic material as it is very hard to believe that it is real. (Like Nepal 1948 from Indian Embassy).

3) Even some of the register cover I saw makes me nervous.!!

4) Lot of questions about bidding on this auction which is truly amazing to research.

5) I figured it out that in India 1948 Gandhi philatelic material it requires lot of experience (15+ years) and knowledge to even start collecting 1948 Gandhi philately.

6) Even some times I think about Postmark Cancellation on cover. I cancelled my 55th Congress cover because I cannot decide on it eventhough I only paid under $10.(It's easy to make Rubber stamp of 1948, same way like FAKE special cancellation 1969 Burma, Fiji, Luxembourg or 2009 from Germany.!!)

7) But main think for me it does not Justify the value of Stamps, FDC and other USED covers.!!! (I think Lot of Shill Bidding.!!)

If you are really interested  into 1948 Gandhi Philately  then following are 2 exhibit from Maulik Thakkar (founder of this blog) which will help you what kind of material you needs to collect and what is required to make sure it genuine.

Click on both links or on caption to see this exhibit in detail. I think this is one of the best available in 1948 thematic collection. Start dreaming to make this only if you have more than 50000 US dollars in spare.!!

1) Memorial Issue of Mahatma Gandhi- 15th August 1948 By Maulik Thakkar.

2) Usage of the 1948 Gandhi Memorial issue. By Maulik Thakkar.

http://www.japhila.cz/hof/0684/index0684a.htm

But don't jump after looking this and start buying it otherwise you will endup like buying something like Nepal Indian Embassy or some FDC with Pondicherry or Goa postmark cancellation or FDC from TajMahal hotel etc. Before you start it required lot of study and research otherwise you will regret.

It's very hard to find Genuine cancellation (special cancellation) as it is very easy to forged.!!! and sometimes there are NO GENUINE cancellation even exist.!!

Read following blog post which might help you to understand what's going in Gandhi 1948 stamps and India philately.!!

Still not decided then my opinion is AVOID it all the cost.!! and have peace of mind instead of worrying you are buying Genuine material.!!!

To me all Gandhi Philatelic material available ( specially before 1950) looks FAKE or Forgery as it is very hard to find Genuine stuff and as new collectors (like me) wants to collect, so some greedy experienced collectors/dealers will provide  all of us as well as experienced collectors.!!

Still want to do research  then please read my other blog post and have fun.!!

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II

By reading this blog post with all think link, will  you ever trust this postmark cancellation even it is sold to me by some known person also ?

Don't you think Gandhi Philatelic material is very easy to FORGED or FAKED.?

Thanks

Only one each were send through regular postal stream and other 7 has only cancellation (not through postal stream ) so it stays in good condition.

This event card has some of famous Gandhi quotes :

9/11 Memorial Cover

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

On 12th September I was lucky enough to visit 9/11 Memorial in New York on First day of opening  for General Public. I paid tribute  to the thousands who died on 9/11/2001. After visiting this place I truly understand and respect value of life and sacrifice of people.

Above cover has Mahatma Gandhi  USA stamps along with 33 cents of USA Flag over City & Liberty 29 cents stamps. Also this cover has Mahatma Gandhi Label with his quotes " Be the change that you want to see in the world" & "You must be the change you wish to see in the world.". Also postmark cancellation date is Monday, September 12, 2011 is from biggest post office in USA located near Penn Station and opens everyday of the week including Sunday.
.

The National September 11 Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, Pa., and at the Pentagon, as well as the six people killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February 1993.

The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in the North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood. Architect Michael Arad and landscape architect Peter Walker created the Memorial design selected from a global design competition that included more than 5,200 entries from 63 nations.

The names of every person who died in the 2001 and 1993 attacks are inscribed into bronze panels edging the Memorial pools, a powerful reminder of the largest loss of life resulting from a foreign attack on American soil and the greatest single loss of rescue personnel in American history.

THE 9/11 MEMORIAL is located at the site of the former World Trade Center complex, and occupies approximately half of the 16-acre site. The 9/11 Memorial features two enormous waterfalls and reflecting pools, each about an acre in size, set within the footprints of the original twin towers. The Memorial Plaza is one of the most eco-friendly plazas ever constructed. More than 400 trees are planned for the plaza, surrounding the Memorial's two massive reflecting pools. Its design conveys a spirit of hope and renewal, and creates a contemplative space separate from the usual sights and sounds of a bustling metropolis.

Swamp white oak trees create a rustling canopy of leaves over the plaza. This grove of trees bring green rebirth in the spring, provide cooling shade in the summer and show seasonal color in fall. A small clearing in the grove, known as the Memorial Glade, designates a space for gatherings and special ceremonies.

Following are pictures of names of some Indian Origin People inscribed into bronze panels edging the Memorial pools who died during the attack.

Also some pictures from outside 911 Memorial.
