Bhutan Gandhi Stamps - Don't think Gandhi Stamps are for Investment.!! 200 pieces of 3-D plastic stamps of Gandhi, Kennedy, De Gaulle, Pope Leo XII, Churchill & Eisenhower are selling under $3.!!

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

In 1972 Bhutan issued Plastic 3-D Stamps of  Gandhi, Kennedy, De Gaulle, Pope Leo XII, Churchill & Eisenhower. Even though it is small country Bhutan makes lot of money by selling stamps from collectors like you and me.!!

Even though this are kind of rare stamps as it is made from plastic, it is not appreciating in value. Read my previous blog post about Bhutan Gandhi stamps.

But I was surprised when I saw 200 pieces of 1972 Plastic 3-D stamps was for sale for only $3 per set of 6 stamps (3x200=600$) even after almost 40 years. This means that each stamp is worth only 50 cents including Gandhi.

In past I saw some dealers trying to sell for $175 for a set.!!! What a ripe off they are trying to do to new buyer who is completely unaware of correct market value. (check my previous blog about this)

Also more surprised is that there are more lots like this available for sell, so not sure who will need this many stamps.!!

Now I can imagine for other countries also that there will be plenty of this stamps sitting in everyone's collection trying to find owner for that particular Gandhi stamps.

So again before buying Gandhi stamps please make sure what you are jumping into and what is the right value for Gandhi stamps.

If you don't do your own research than chances are you will pay high price which will make you regret in future.

Also think how many Gandhi Stamps collectors are in the world. Might be 1000-2000 or 3000 or 5000, but not more than that and usually stamps are printed in very large quantities such 100,000 - 140,000,000.

Recently we are seeing auction of big lot of Gandhi stamps. 2 Weeks ago we saw 100 Indipex 2011 Gandhi Khadi Miniature Sheet + Presentation folder for sell. This Khadi stamp is also special stamp made from cloth. So not sure why big lot are coming out.!!

I hope by providing this kind of information I am helping new collectors that Gandhi stamps are not for Investments, so don't just buy thinking it will go up.

Think what's reality.!!

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic materials and you will think it's all BOGUS.!! Yes it's all BOGUS.!!

So looking to all this facts I think this set of 6 plastic embossed 3D stamps is 595$ for 200 peices is also too much. Yes $3 per set is too much.

So beware.!!

Bhutan Gandhi Stamp FDC with Plastic 3D Emboss Stamp of Churchill, Kennedy, Ghandi

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Today Bhutan Gandhi FDC issued in 1972 with Plastic 3D stamp was sold only $8. I think this is reasonable value when you compare that it has 3 famous people on it and there are lot of thematic collectors who collects particular person.

Also seller has 30000+ feedback so there is no chance of shill bidding (price increase on their own item or friends/families items) on this sale. This feedback is very important when you buy any Gandhi Philately material as you will have very less chance of getting cheated.

This is just FYI for new collectors so they don't overpay for this kind of item which is frequently selling on ebay. I know there is huge quantity of this Plastic 3D stamps in market so make sure before you buy.

Now look at following Bhutan FDC starting price for auction.  Seller's are waiting for some new collector to buy it.

Seller "allstamps4you"  from Germany is selling this on ebay at starting price of $45.!!! (Please buy me.!!!, Please new collector, Buy me and regret and quit this hobby!!).

Thanks

Bhutan Gandhi Stamp Value - Why you will quit Gandhi Philately or Stamp Collections - Part-1

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Recently we got some comments on our blog and we notice that lot of collectors quit Gandhi Philately because they were trapped by some commonly available items at very high price or some FAKE items at high price.  So I decided let me write up about this.

Following will explain you why you will QUIT Stamp collecting or Gandhi Philatelic items.

In 1972 Bhutan issued Plastic stamp set of 6 famous people including Gandhi. It's price should be under $5. Also you can buy FDC with Gandhi Stamp for around 8-15$.

Look at following screen 2 screen shot and you will find out what a different way of selling. So again do your research before you buy. Don't just buy it otherwise you will also quit this hobby.!!

You can see One seller  (rajsukhani) is selling for $175 and other seller (philimpex)  is selling under $5.!! Look at shipping charges $6.50 and $2 also and also take a note of feedback of both seller. Rajsukhani has 1720 where as Philimpex is 8800+. I hope this will explain you.!!

OMG.!! what a difference in price.!!

Also look at the RETURN Policy of both seller.!! Rajsukhani don't want to accept return after selling at 175$ where as Philimpex will accept return after selling you at $5 (3500% lesser value than Rajsukhani).

So you decided from whom to buy in future, from which country to buy, from how many feedback seller you need to buy etc.If you keep this in mind then you will stay in stamp collecting hobby otherwise you will regret.

So think what if you had bought this for $175.!! You will quit this hobby soon and curse this hobby!!!

Click this link and  look for just 2 things (Seller Feedback, Seller Country ) and you should know from where and whom you should buy Gandhi Stamps or any Philately material.

So Think Think Think before you jump on any thing you buy it on ebay or delcampe. There are people who are waiting for you.!!

I think it is up to all fellow collectors to motivate new collectors by raising awareness about things going on in Philatelic world such as your experience, inflated prices, common stuff to look around etc. And now a days it's easy to spread your word by blogging it or by facebook page etc same way sellers are trying to cheat by creating multiple accounts and start increasing price of their items.

If you are cheated or feels cheated then spread the word so someone else can be saved. That's what I am doing it since last 2 years.!!
