India stamps : Are this for Investment ?

Hello,

Let me make sure that I am not writing or certifying that this stamps are forgery. It's up to you to decide when you buy this stamps. I am just doing my comparison (free) of Gandhi stamps so stamp collectors don't get cheated and regret collecting stamps because they pay high price and take pride in their collection and when they find out that they got forgery or cheated they stop collecting stamps.

I am trying to bring awareness in stamp collecting world so they don't get cheated by eBay or delcampe seller's not only by getting forgery stamps, but also inflating price by shill bidding or not paying to seller and all kind of illegal trading practice. It's up to you to decide it's forgery or facsimile, or value of stamps etc.

Do you think this stamps are for Investment ? or Alternate Investment ?

Now let's see what are chances of recent cover sold on eBay.

1) What do you think about following cancellation : Is it Genuine or Forgery ?

We know lot of first day cover, register cover, used cover are available with forgery and Bogus rubber stamps, so what is chance of following cancellation ? Check following blog post to read about forgered or BOGUS cancellation

2) What do you think about pricing of this cover :  $178 is right price or glorified/inflated price ?

We know that there is lot of shill bidding (bidding with other id or friends/relatives helping seller), buyer not paying to seller is happening in Gandhi stamps of India in order to glorified/inflated Gandhi stamps price.

3) What do you think about bidders bidding this auction ?

o***n(2086)
s***1(1316)
t***8(3385)
h***t(1918)

You can find out their real name from eBay only. Look for feedback on eBay and you will find it. It's openly available.!!

Let me know if you have any opinion on this ?

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

1) 1948 Stamps False hope of Riches?
2) 1948 Gandhi Stamps: Are False hope of Riches - Part II ?
3) 1948 Gandhi Mourning Private FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part III?
4) 1948 Expensive Gandhi FDC : Are False hope of Riches - Part IV?
5) 1948 Gandhi Stamps Early Usage cover :  Gandhi Stamps Are False hope of Riches - Part V?
6) Maxi Card sold for $5100 with 1948 Gandhi Stamps - False hope of Riches - Part VI?
7) Indian Philately Exposed
8) Indian Philately Exposed - Part II
9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!! or even Collecting.!!!

Do you think it's INVESTMENT or GAME.!!

I think it's not for Investment but it's a Philatelic GAME.!!

So let's see how to play  Philatelic Game.!! (click to read how to, rules and regulations.!!)

Now you decide whether it's INVESTMENT ?

INDIA SE-TENANT stamps

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

I was surprised when I saw price of 1994 India Se-tenant stamps of Mahatma Gandhi issued. It was for auction with starting price of $25.!!

Face value of this stamp is 17 Rupees which is equivalent to 30-40 cents.!!!  Do you think this stamp is valued $25 in just 19 years.!! ?

But does it makes sense for price of $25 which will make ROI of 100 times in 20 years.!!!

or this is just a high priced item waiting for some unknown to buy it.!!

Don't think after looking this pricing that stamps are for Investment or as an alternate investment, otherwise you will regret that you wrongly enter this hobby.!!

We all know how Gandhi stamps are glorified by all kinds of illegal activity by hiding real identity of seller and buyer so SHILL bidding can be done on items or not pay to seller after buying it at high price and even not paying commission by false trade etc.

This Se-Tenant stamp of Gandhi was for auction by seller "Suman_1416" with feedback of 7 and member since 2007.!

What do you think after looking # of feedback and # of years since account was opened.?

You might be thinking what to do with # of feedback or # of years on delcampe..!! That you have to think and understand !!

Recently I saw this was sold under $5 on eBay.!! even though stamp collection hobby is declining.!! This indicates that stamp value was appreciated more than 20 times.!!!

I don't think this $5 is also make sense for this kind of stamps because they are available in very large quantity.

But I think it's means a lot if you understand how Gandhi philatelic works.

Thanks

Mali stamps and first day cover : How to protect yourself in Philatelic collection : How to find out right price in philatelic collection.

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

Recently I bidded on Mali Gandhi FDC and lost, because I bidded what I thought was right price.

But I was surprised when I  saw it was sold for $33.!!!

But my research indicates that this FDC are not that rare (as usual) and recently 4 FDC were sold on delcampe for $12.!! by "Sachahadrien2" from France and bought by "brownblackcherry" and "Gandhicollector".!!

Click this link to see yourself. !!  or see following screenshot.!!

Now curious about price difference (triple in 2-3 months) I decided to do some research on this  about buyer/collector, collector's other winning auction so we know what's going on.

In past I did similar kind of research and you can read it by clicking following link.'

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/08/gandhi-stamps-and-philately-material.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/06/gandhi-1948-stamps.html

All research is available online on eBay so you don't have to break any computer servers, or snoop any computer networks or hack anyone's computer or eBay password or don't have to do any illegal activity to find out what's happening. Everything is available on eBay and can be find out openly(public) if you do some little work, if you bid on item you can find out who is buyer.!!

Bidder p***l (3712) bidded at last second ( 6 second before auction starts.) so it might by some kind of snipping tool.!!

Now g***a(147) bidded on this auction and set it's maximum bidding price to $32.19 before 3 hours of auction ending.!!

I was winning this auction before that since last 4 days.!!

When I lost auction I always look for who is winner and do some research on him/her activity such as

1) what else he/she is buying (collecting), # of items bidding, what other thematic collection etc.
2) from whom he/she is buying (sellers)
3) what is price range he/she buying
4) feedback of buyer and seller and compare it.!!

What I found out that buyer of Mali Gandhi FDC is eBay member since 1998 "POLLAM" from Singapore.!!

Which reminds me that I had lost eBay auction to him several times.!! but I got second offer on it.!! But as usual I refuse it because I don't beleive in 2nd offer.!!

Now I did some more research on POLLAM and find out that in last 30 days there were total 170 auction won by him on wide variety of stamps and philatelic material even though stamps collection hobby is declining, so not sure what he/she is trying to do.!!

Not sure he is collector or dealer or other.!!! who bought from some famous seller such as "alphaomegaphilately" , "ashokmehta1955", "gorfa" , "london-stamps", "mareval2" , "posthost" and others.!!

Following are details (click to see enlarged copy to read it) if you want to see what else this buyer is buying and from whom and for what price.!!

You can do this for any buyer and find out before you make your conclusion about fair price for any of your collection.!!

Now as per following quotes of some famous people, it's upto you to THINK, UNDERSTAND and DO BETTER.!!

“I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think” ― Socrates

“Any fool can know. The point is to understand.” ― Albert Einstein

“When you know better you do better.” ― Maya Angelou

So what do you think  about this auction and buyer's activity.!! Do you think this is correct price or any cheating is involved in this deal such as

1) Shill biddding (i.e. bidding with other id or friend helping to increase price)
2) Buyer not paying to seller
3) This is the right price of the item?

Thanks

Mali stamps and FDC : Mali Gandhi fdc

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

As you know I research a lot and try to bring awareness in all kinds of Cheating and forgeries in Gandhi Philately which can be also be implemented in any philately collection whether it's a birds, flowers, flag or British India stamps or Great Britain stamps or King Edward or George stamps.

Following are some of the famous quotes which can be applied to my blog posts.!!

“I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think” ― Socrates

“Any fool can know. The point is to understand.” ― Albert Einstein

“When you know better you do better.” ― Maya Angelou

Now recently I saw Mali FDC with Gandhi stamps and I was curious which one is genuine and which is forged.!!

Reason for forged is that we see lot of Gandhi philatelic material with applying just a plain rubber stamp which is very easy to make and it don't cost too much if you cannot sell it.!!

Now if you compare both one looks suspicious because it might be PRIVATE fdc.!! Also chances are it might be done recently using modern printer.!!!

Read following blog posts if you are not aware BIGGEST philatelic scam with Private FDC of Gandhi with 1948 Gandhi stamps from India, which will open your eyes and regret collecting.!!

Biggest Philatelic scam in philatelic with 1948 Gandhi stamps from India.

Also one is numbered (upto 2000) where as other is not.!!

So now it's up to you to decide which is genuine and which is forged or both might be genuine.!!

But looking to history of Gandhi stamps and philatelic material any thing is possible.!!

In past we had seen wide range of illegal  activities in Mali stamps and FDC so everything is questionable. Click following link to read more about Mali stamps.

Mali stamps and FDC : A Gandhi philatelic true story.!!

I hope this blog post make you think and understand and hope you do better.!!

King Edward stamps : K ED stamps : King George stamps

Hello Gandhi stamps collectors,

“I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think” ― Socrates

Recently I read following on eBay auction by seller from Taiwain "tw123tw". (click link to see).

“Any fool can know. The point is to understand.”  ― Albert Einstein

Let me make sure I am not jealous, because I only collect Gandhi stamps and I don't have this kind of stamps to sell.!!

Also I would love to get paid for writing, but no one has offered me.!! This is new thing I learned about paid writing for stamps.!!!

We all know what kind of replica, facsimile or BOGUS stamps of Mahatma Gandhi is available with wide varieties of Overprint, Specimen etc. This can be applied to any stamps (expensive, rare) and forgeries are printed and sold.!!

This is not only in Gandhi stamps but also in all Great Britain stamps of King Edward, King George, Queen Victoria stamps as they were ruling every where in 1800 and 1900.!!

Let me make sure that I am not writing or certifying that this stamps are forgery. It's up to you to decide when you buy this stamps. I am just doing my comparison(free) of Gandhi stamps with India Pre-Independence stamps, Great Britain stamps so stamp collectors don't get cheated and regret collecting stamps because they pay high price and take pride in their collection and when they find out that they got forgery they stop collecting stamps.

From following 3 images can you tell which is Genuine or Forgery (facsimile, replica, copy) or all are forgeries.!! ?

It's very hard to tell which one is genuine or forgery because no one know how genuine looks like and thinks all stamps are genuine.!!

But as per seller "ma-collectorshop"  of this stamps two are replica stamps (Cyprus and Natal) were as third one is genuine as per seller "tw123tw".!!

Now after looking above 3 images what is your opinion of this King Edward stamps which are also sold as K ED stamps or KED stamps.

Do you see any difference between them ? ( I don't!!)

Don't you think it's very easy to make (print) this kind of old stamps which are very rare to be mint stamps.!! ( I think so)

Now if you see seller"ma-collectorshop" selling as replica is selling this stamps under $10 were as seller "tw123tw" selling as "Fresh Mint Stamps" is selling for $200.!!

So what do you think that price it self will indicate it's genuine or forgery.!!

Following are screenshot with detail description of item and you decide as that's your money will be investing in stamps.

Also you can read my blog posts about Great Britain stamps of King Edward, King George, Queen Victoria stamps and compare yourself.!!

Again let me make sure I don't certify stamps as forgery. It's up to you to decide as it's your money.

I just make you think and understand so you do better in your collection.!!

So what do you think and understand ?

“When you know better you do better.” ― Maya Angelou

============  My previous blog post about King Edward stamps forgery ? ================

King George V and King Edward stamps from British India : What are chances of getting a FORGED stamps.?

Hello Gandhi Collectors,

Forgery in stamp collection and philatelic material is nothing new. It has been going around since last 150 years since Penny Black first every stamp issued by Great Britain. But the quantity  and quality of forged stamps we see in today's world is unbelievable.

It's hard which one is REAL and which one is FAKE. And if it is on used cover or register cover with forged postmark cancellation it will be impossible for new or regular collector.!!

In Indian stamps and philately specially in Gandhi collection we have seen lot of forgery stamps and philatelic materials, some of them are following.

3) Forged 1948 Gandhi Mourning first day cover.(different way to mourn.!!)
.
.
.
.

Looks like Gandhi stamps and philatelic material have all kinds of Forgery.!!! including Indian Philatelic items such as 1911 First Aerial Mail from Allahabad and 1854 Queen Victoria stamps.!!

But recently I saw some British India stamp from early 1900 of King George and  King Edward on eBay sold or available from $2000 to $250!!  I am not even thinking that following are Forged stamps.

But I think a lot so one of my thinking came out of my mind is "What are the chances of this British India stamps are Forged?".

We all know that in China/Taiwan there are plenty of Forged products of famous brand name are available in plenty and people are buying it at 1/10 price such as Coach, Gucci and Burberry women's purses  are available and lot of other things such as Rolex watches.!!

All this forged product which required lot of labor work and wide varieties of different materials and machinery to forged this famous products but so don't you think it's easier to just print on piece of paper and then perforated it to make a forged stamp than making all other Forged products.!!?

So what are the chance of this stamps  (PRINTED PAPER).!!!?? (Again I am not saying following are forged British India stamps.)

Just think what are the chances or possibility of Printed Paper not a stamp.!!

Start thinking about all possible things in order to succeed in philately because technology in printing as well as selling method (SHILL BIDDING) is changed a lot in last 10 years.!!! which is driving the price and quality of Forged stamp which is hard to think that's is forged, which no one can believe it.!!

My personal view about pricing of following British India stamp of King George V and King Edward is INFLATED.  That means it does not deserve this much premium but I think price is jacked up.!!

King George 25 Rupees stamp from India Postage, sold for $291

India 25 Rupees King George V stamp with overprint SERVICE, sold for $222.

King George V 25 Rupees stamps from British India, sold for $250

King Edward postage stamp from British India, sold for $246
King Edward 15 and 25 Rupees Stamp from British India from "Taiwan" for $1990 (still available)

Following are Forgery King Edward and King George stamps KGV stamps from Central Africa and Nigeria. Compare above stamps with this and think what are the chances.

Also you can read my previous blog post about King Edward and Kin George stamps.

Now you might be wondering what above stamps and following ERROR stamp from India has to do with Gandhi stamps and King George V, King Edward and Queen Victoria philatelic collection.!!

But looking to the price it's sell it make forger to print this and sell it instead of making forged famous product and get caught by that multinational companies.

Where as making forged stamp no one has time to go after them.!! so it's a safe bet.

Following is the error stamp. In  1992 India Year Pack of commemorative stamps, the lowest value of the Birds of Prey set was discovered to be a 1 r. value, instead of 2 r. as generally issued. The 1 r. value also included the species description for the 6 r. value from the same set.

Left side stamp is GENUINE where as right side is FORGED copy of error stamp.

We see lot of FORGED 1948 India Gandhi mint stamps which makes me compare to Forged Indian Bird Prey stamp with error. Following are some FORGED 1948 India Gandhi stamps which are sold as copy, replica, proof and facsimile (even genuine, rare etc).

All of the above 1948 GANDHI stamps from India is FORGED (FAKE).

You will not able to believe it that following is the Forged stamp probably printed with help of high scanner or in China which is more easier than making forged Coach, Gucci purses or Rolex watches.!!

Seller "posthedge" from USA also mentioned it's FORGED.

Seller description of above stamp

" This type of forgery is nothing unusual - the 10Rs Gandhi stamp (the whole set actually) has been extensively forged. The forged SERVICE overprint is abundantly available. Even worse, there are many older genuine RPSL and BPA certificates (for the 10Rs Service stamp) that are floating and have been used to pass of forgeries. The red cross missing stamp and the bird of prey that recently appeared in auction houses were also determined to be fake when they were sent for certification after auction "

"One of the genuine stamps also has two certificates issued on it - which means a genuine certicate may be available to pass off a forgery. So it is not merely enough to buy a stamp with the certificate , but as always to ensure that the stamp belongs to the certificate and that the certificate itself is legitimate by writing to/emailing the BPA directly (as certificates have also been forged)."

Enlarge above screenshot to read about BPA and RPLS. !! It's amazing that expertising certificate are used to pass of forgeries.!!

But recently I saw similar stamp sold for $811 from Taiwan seller "vivistamp2009" even without mentioning that this is FORGED or GENUINE.  Only thing is that SEE THE SCAN.!!

Do you think this is a GENUINE stamp with error.? I don't think so as there are very less quantity available and it will not sell for $800 it might sold for higher price around $2000-$5000 (just my guess).!!

So what next time any seller can make it happen to $5000 by shill bidding (bidding with other account or philatelic friend might help the seller.!!)

I just gave you the point to think that what are the chances of FORGED stamp in British India Pre-Independence specially in King George Stamps and King Edward stamps.

So if you can find Forged 1948 Gandhi stamps and Forged 1992 Bird prey stamp with error then  what are the chances of other expensive British India stamps of King George V, King Edward and other Indian stamps which I mentioned in start of the blog post.

Please read following series of my blog post  to understand what is going on stamp collecting world specially in Indian Philatelic material with 1948 Gandhi stamps.

Thanks

China Mao stamps folder.

Hello Gandhi stamps collectors,

Just comparing Gandhi stamps folder with China Mao stamps folder.!!, so we can learn some thing useful for our collection.!!

We all know that India and China are booming countries in world were lot of millionares are borned every day, and to get money from them as alternate investment is also booming business.!!

Alternate investment in stamp collection.!! which are sometimes nothing but BOGUS or Forged stamps or philatelic material, as new born millionares don't have any idea about stamps or very minimum knowledge about stamp collection.!!

We all know what kind of forgery or BOGUS philatelic folder are selling on eBay with Gandhi stamps, but recently I saw China Mao stamp folder and I was very surprised, when compared with Gandhi stamp folders. Lot of similarities between Gandhi stamp folder and Mao stamp folder.

This folder was sold from Taiwan  for $1008 (lot of money is spend by seller for piece of paper.!!) by eBay seller "tw12tw".

Not sure whether this is Genuine or BOGUS like other Gandhi stamps folder.!! You need to make sure before you buy any kind of philatelic material whether it's Gandhi or Mao or any other thematic collection because it's very tempting to make this kind of folder and sell it high price instead of selling just mint stamps.!!!

There are also chance of getting replica or facsimile stamps.!!

So BEWARE before you buy.

Whether it be "COURVOISIER 1948 STAMPS FOLDER" or " Brazil Gandhi stamps folder" or "Million Rupee Gandhi specimen folder".

Click following link to understand "Mastering of stamp folder" and try to get some idea and you can apply it to your collection.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/01/emblem-of-india-on-1948-gandhi-special.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/03/rare-stamps.html

All the above Gandhi folder are BOGUS, glorified by increasing price by not paying to seller or shill bidding etc.

Now compare this trend with MAO stamp folder and think what are chances.?

Do you think it was genuine eBay transaction were buyer really paid to seller ($1008) and all eBay and Paypal commission were paid.?

Reason for this suspiscous is buyer has very bad feedback for not paying to seller!!! So not sure whether this was glorification of China stamp by buying it and not paying it at very high price to make false impression on other collectors.?

There are lot of things needs to look before buying any kind of stamps whether is Gandhi stamps or China stamps or just a stamp.!!

Following are my blog post were I compare China Mao stamps with trends in Gandhi philately such as pricing, overprint stamps, facsimile etc.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/06/mao-stamps-directives-of-mao-stamps.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/01/looks-like-china-stamps-are-hotter-than.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/01/directives-of-maos-china-stamp.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/01/overprint-stamps-of-china.html

You know how bad is stamp collection hobby right now as no new collectors wants to collect stamps and experienced collectors wants to dump their collection.!!!

So what do you think about China MAO stamp folder.?

Is it genuine or Bogus?

Thanks

India stamp value : 1948 true story.!!

 Hello Gandhi stamps collectors,

In 1948 India issued first ever stamp of Mahatma Gandhi in a set of 4 stamps. Out of which one was valued 10 Rupees which was very high during that time and value was not even adjusted for postal use.!!

But we all know that forgeries are available more than genuine.!! because of it's a simple stamp and modern technology in printing which is not even required to print this stamp.!!

Now I am not sure whether following auction was for genuine stamp or forgery.!!  This stamp was Mint stamp and not hinged and it was sold for $87.!! by "creativityplus4".!!

So not sure what is the real value for this India stamp.!!

You might see this stamp might be selling for 200$ or $300 or $400 and sometimes asking price might be $600.!!!

So not sure what is this 1948 stamp and what is the story behind this stamp.!!

But BEWARE before you buy this stamp or any philatelic material such as FDC or register cover or used 1948 Gandhi stamp.!!

Following are some of my blog post which will explain you what's actually going in 1948 Gandhi stamps which covers all kinds of cheating, forgery, glorification, shill bidding etc.

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/05/1948gandhistamps_30.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/06/gandhi-1948-stamps-fake-postage-stamps.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/06/gandhi-stamps.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2012/01/1948-india-gandhi-stamps-gandhi-1948.html

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2013/05/how-to-tell-if-1948-gandhi-stamp-is.html

You all know how popular is 1948 Gandhi stamps from India. And because of this popularity price of this stamp is very high and when price is high all things are possible.!!

Now look at the following high value1948 Gandhi stamp. It's is very hard to find 10 Rupees Gandhi stamp in block of 4. This might sell from 700-1700$ or more if it is Genuine!!

Do you think following is Genuine stamp if seller don't mention about this. I don't think so.!!

Above block of 4 is a facismile/copy/counterfeit stamp.!!!

Because of recent modern technology in printing which is capable of printing money if printer manufacture are not restricted by government. If printers are capable of printing latest US dollar bill with all this watermark/threads/multicolor/magentic ink then to print 1948 stamp is peace of cake for this kind of printers.!!

So keep in mind what latest printers can do (along with rubber stamps) when you buy following items Mint or even USED on FDC or postally used.

1) 10 Rupees 1948 Gandhi stamps
2) 1 1/2, 3 1/2  and 12 Annas 1948 Gandhi stamps
3) SERVICE overprint Gandhi 1948 stamps
4) Imperf Gandhi stamps from Niger, Gabon, Cameroun, and all others Gandhi imperf stamps. (it's easy as no cutting required.!!)
5) SKY is the LIMIT.!!

THIS FAKE STAMPS MIGHT COME ON FDC OR USED COVERS SO BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

Above stamp is currently selling as facsimile(copy).

Following are some screenshot from delcampe where it is sold as facsimile(copy/forgery/fake)

SO BEWARE BEFORE YOU BUY ANY 1948 used stamps from India or F.D.C with India stamps or used covers with India stamps or any other philatelic ITEMS with stamps from India.!!

So chances of getting forgery is very high.!!

And this is the 1948 TRUE STORY.!!

Thanks
