Gandhi Stamps Cameroun : A interesting stamp in Gandhi stamp collection

Hello Gandhi Philatelist,

Last week once again Cameroun used cover with Overprint Moon Landing on Gandhi stamps along with Kennedy stamp was sold for $234.!!

I don't know what's great about this cover, for which someone is paying this much money. To me this stamps are not really ERROR stamps. It's a FAKE overprint stamp which were created with ERROR to make money by creating this kind of overprint as if stamp printer/proof reader/designer have no common sense or ability to take decision.!!

Also all kind of bribery might have happen in 1969 to mail this cover with error stamps other wise it will be not possible to travel through postal stream. Chances are cover might be FAKE too.!! Just rubber stamps.!!

But to me it does not make sense to pay even $256 because I don't think this OVERPRINT of Moon Landing on Gandhi stamps, Kennedy stamps and Martin Luther King stamp is ERROR stamp. It is made intensely to make money.!! Cameroun is a small country so dealers/collectors takes benefit of it!!

God knows what happen 43 years ago.!!  and the creator (and his gang) of this cover knows what they did.!!

In Feb 2010 two similar used covers were for auctioned and one of which was sold for $456 .!!!

Read more about this by clicking following link.

Don't know why such a decline in value.!! 100% decline in 2.5 years.!!

Also to me it looks like when you buy some high priced item you try to accumulate(to decrease your purchase price) or increase price to defend your collection so your worth don't decrease it.!!! but it also create inflation as this hobby is not that popular as it used to be. !!

But that's the case also for Cameroun FDC. It's value is unbelievable in decline path from $300 to $65.!! (It was nothing but inflated price to protect their investment.!!). Check out following blog posts about it. (A bubble in Cameroun stamps).

http://gandhistampsclub.blogspot.com/2011/04/looks-like-bubble-in-cameroun-cameroon.html

I know this very well as I was victim of this Cameroun FDC which taught me everything in Gandhi Philately as well as overall HOW PHILATELY WORKS IN MODERN DAYS.!!

As always I lost again. But this time I was not a 2nd highest bidder. It was only bare minimum so I can do research about buying and selling patterns.!!

My best advice is to stay away from this kind of FAKE error stamp and philatelic materials and I don't think this needs to be glorified.!!

Please click following link if you want to read more research about all Cameroon Gandhi Stamps.

To me at the end it will be JUST PIECE OF PAPER.!!

If you have money to throw away then start collecting  Cameroon Gandhi Stamps, 1948 Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic material and Panama Gandhi Stamps and you will have a PIECE of PAPER (with no peace of mind.!!).

Still cannot decide then read following blog post which might help you.

Still not decided then my opinion is AVOID it all the cost.!! and have peace of mind instead of worrying you are buying Genuine material.!!!

To me all Gandhi Philatelic material available ( specially before 1950) looks FAKE or Forgery as it is very hard to find Genuine stuff and as new collectors (like me) wants to collect, so some greedy experienced collectors/dealers will provide  all of us as well as experienced collectors.!!

Still want to do research  then please read my other blog post and have fun.!!
