Ireland stamps : What are chances of your stamp collection going same way like USA or UK stamps? What we all we will do now with our collection?

Hello Gandhi Stamp Collectors,

Recently I saw 1969 First Day cover from Ireland with Mahatma Gandhi stamps and I was surprised by  seeing this decline trend in Gandhi Stamps and Philatelic material also.

Gandhi stamps and Philatelic material including British India stamps of King George, King Edward and Queen Victoria are highly GLORIFIED by not paying to seller, by SHILL bidding, by mutual withdraw and also forged and FAKE material and this is also not helping to keep up the price.!!
We all know that most of the philatelic collection has no value but after seeing 1969 Gandhi F.D.C from various countries selling under $1, I think it's over.!!

In past Ireland first day cover with Gandhi stamp was sold for 1 cents. (Yes 0.01 cents.!!). Click following link to read about it.

Yes, it's over.!! Looks like this has finally touched Gandhi stamps and philatelic material also.!! Last week I wrote about 1969 F.D.C  with Great Britain stamp of Gandhi were 5 F.D.C sold  for $2.!!

Look at following screenshot  you can see clearly DECLINE in price as well as # of bidders. This is going on slowly but recently it picked up pace in more going down.!!

So what we all will do now with our collection?

Look at the following screenshot and you will get some idea what will happen to our collection.

Following screenshot is of 360 first day covers from USA which was selling for $109.!! so it makes 31cents for each cover.

And still there are no buyer. !!

Not only this in USA cover but also you will see this in each and every country.

Following is screenshot of auction of 40 Royal Mail England F.D.C and it's was sold only for $1 and only one bidder.!!

Yes 40 covers for $1.!!!

So BEWARE what you are collecting and why are you collecting.!!

Read my following blog post to understand about stamp collection in DECLINE.!!

1) A Hobby in Decline : 1948 Gandhi USED cover case study.!!
2) A Hobby in Decline.!! - Part-2
3) How to invest when philately price is dropping.

If you see stamps are not even selling or selling like 5-10 times lower their value than mentioned in catalog.!!

There is nothing RARE or Scare in philately because this hobby is in downward trend because experienced collectors are loosing interest because value is not appreciating and new collectors are not coming in to this because there are lot of other things to do for them such as playing video games on Nintendo or X-box , social networking on facebook or google+ or  surfing on web through internet or SMS through iphone or android or watch games such as cricket, football or basketball.!!

Only way philately can sustain is to stop cheating in this hobby. Yes CHEATING.!! which is what you will see in order to increase value artificially by inflating the price by SHILL bidding, not paying to seller or mutual understanding cancelling transaction and lot more.

To know more about this kind of activity read my following blog post and think what are the possibilities in cheating, glorification, SHILL bidding, FAKE, Forgery etc.

9) Gandhi SERVICE overprint stamp price fell from $1009 to $1.!!
10) How can you tell that Gandhi SERVICE stamp is FAKE or Forgery ?

I hope all the above will help while making decision in investing stamps and to avoid getting CHEATED.!!

Now don't you think it does NOT make sense STAMP INVESTING!!

Thanks
