King Edward stamp - KEVII stamp of India - British India stamps

Recently I saw eBay seller from Cupertino California "Pristinephilatelics" sold King Edward stamp - 25 Rupees KEVII stamp of India sold for $1750!!

This is very good transaction for eBay as they will get $150- $175 from this transaction.!!

Also on top of that PayPal (eBay company) will also get commission from this sale.!!

Looks like eBay share holders are doing good because of stamp collection.!!

(Disclosure : I am eBay share holder in my personal as well as retirement account).

So do you really think eBay shareholders are benefit from this kind of transaction ?

Or it's all bogus transaction were buyer don't pay to seller and seller open case with eBay so not have to pay commission.!!

Look carefully and do you think it's a GENUINE stamp or FORGERY ?

My personal opinion about this stamp that it's FORGERY because look at the margin on all sides.!!

I cannot certified that this is Forgery or Genuine because I am not expert but buyer needs to verify that. I can only give you some thing to think.!

Do you believe someone has 25 Rupees to invest in stamp in 1902, when average salary was under 5 Rupees per month.!!

I think no one has that kind of extra money to invest in stamp and keep it mint. Also no one need 25 Rupees stamp.!!  It was very hard to see that stamps except you are King of England or some royal connection.!!

Do you really think someone has invested 25 Rupees in 1902 and keep it for 112+ years in such as good condition after looking all the climatic changes (rain, sun, flood, snow, earthquakes etc) during it's travel through rail/boat/airplane to different places and final landing in Cupertino!!

Also think about number of  war it survived in this 112+ years.!!

Also what are chances of this stamp as FORGERY ?

In past we had seen this forgery stamps available very cheap but what are chances of this forgery stamp selling as Genuine ?

Following are REPLICA stamp of King Edward sold for $7 which can be easily sold as Genuine.

Don't you think so.?

Even replica looks genuine if you compare margin on all sides of the stamp with $1750 stamp.!!

In past I wrote about all kind of FORGERY, BOGUS in India 25 RS stamp - 1902 King Edward stamp - KEVII 25 R stamp - India SG 147 SC 76 stamps.

Click to read it.

Following are some of the sold stamps on eBay in last 3-4 months. Now think how many might be sold in last 5 years.!!! (more than 300.!!).

Seller                                   Price Sold

Anjulin                                   $2000
pristinephilateic                      $1750
s_faria                                      $800(appr)
bygonesofbridlingt                  $618
worldstamp22                          $504
collstamps                                $498
filer3rd                                     $435
beattle123                                $295
bcsomani                                  $175

eBay is making lot of money.!! So it's shareholder also should gain from this kind of transaction.!!

Don't you think so.!!

But eBay stock is not going up at all !!

I think because of all FAKE bidding were seller don't pay to buyer so eBay don't get commission.!!

So what do you think about this India 25 RS stamp isueed in 1902 of King Edward stamp - KEVII 25 R stamp - India SG 147 stamps ?
