French India stamps

My opinion about French India stamps from Pondicherry special cancellation on following FDC is forgery or Bogus (never exist).

As per my knowledge there were very few cities in India which had first day issue cancellation. All other you see are BOGUS as dealers try to add different cities so they can make money because it will be rare as dealer made it for themselves.!!

Also Pondicherry was not part of India in 1948 as it was under French India, so it does not make sense at all to have special cancellation from Pondicherry. 

In order to make it rare this was made as forgery and that's the reason it differs from official post and telegraph department of government.

Not sure which are few cities, but I think or might be only from Bombay, Calcutta, Delhi, Madras. I think G.P.O was included in all genuine cancellation.

Also issuing from Pondicherry does not make sense at all as it was ruled by French India. 

You don't see special cancellation from AHMEDABAD were Mahatma Gandhi spend his first 15 years of life in his ashram after returning from South Africa. (1915 - 1930). Also Ahmedabad was one of the big cities during that time as well as today in  India which was known as Manchester of India in early 1900.!! 

Also there were lot of stamp collector from that part of India so if there was no cancellation from Ahmedabad I don't believe about other smaller cities which don't have any importance to Gandhi Collectors.!!

Reason for this assumption that it does not match with official cancellation issued by Post and Telegraph department of India when they issued 1948 stamps and first day cover.

Don't know how seller know less than 5 covers.!! Do you think he/she or their parents or grand parents were present in Pondicherry post office in 1948 and they counted how many were made with French India stamps cancellation?

When ever I see some unique or rare cancellation, I always doubt it. Also when it is USED ABROAD it is always forgery because does not make sense.!!

Now see the price $6000.!! And that's tempting to make forgeries as it's very easy to forged.!!!

It's easy to make money selling stamps on internet then working in any office or shop or factory.!!!


Read following and understand what's going on and than compare this with Pondicherry French India stamps with other cancellation available from different cities.

Forgers have not only manufactured stamps for the philatelic market, they have added forged cancellations to those stamps.

Majority are FORGERIES or Bogus.!!

SO BEWARE OF THIS.!!

Do research yourself after looking all of the following special cancellation.  Look for following information and compare. 

1) G.P.O missing on Simla, Nagpur and Shillong. WHY ? ( Genuine or BOGUS or Forgery)
2) Alphabet type and size : Shillong, Delhi, New Delhi
3) Shapes of special cancellation (Madras)
4) Is it AUG or AUGUST.
5) Compare lines and size inside the cancellation
6) Compare Hindi languague alphabet "जय हिन्द"
7) All kinds of different things you can think and compare.!!

But there are more forgeries of this cancellation than any cancellation in stamp collection history.!!

You can see all following cancellation from different cities and try to be JUDGE yourself.!!

Calcutta cancellation is Forgery and Simla cancellation are both different.!!

Both SHILLONG cancellation looks different with HINDI alphabet "Jai Hind" and type & # of lines.

Compare above four cancellation from BOMBAY and check for # of lines, types of lines in center of special cancellation. (some has 7 and some has 8 and some don't make sense.!!)

Above two cancellation are from MADRAS. Only cancellation with "AUG".!! Also look at the difference between them in shapes. Also "." is missing.

Poona & Simla cancellation looks like BOGUS

Above two cancellation are from NAGPUR looks BOGUS. Look at the difference.

Kanpur & Patna cancellation with irregular alphabets and letters along with shapes

Delhi and New Delhi cancellation. Looks at  the difference.

Does ALLAHABAD & PATNA cancellation looks like GENUINE ?

In this forgery cancellation, it has been have push to collect cancellation from different post office in India.!!

So forger created for you cancellation from Simla, Patna, Allahabad, Poona, Nagpur, Kanpur, Pondicherry, and lot more hiding in someone collection.!!

Want to make money than just make this Jai Hind special cancellation from some other cities and sell it as RARE.!!
